What are some of your guy's favorite tv shows?
Here is my favorites:
Cash Cab: It's a taxi cab! It's a game show! It is a game show in a taxi cab! Need I say more? It is a lot of fun, watching the riders er... contestants try to earn as much money answering questions as they can before they reach their destination, but three strikes and they are kicked out into the cold.
History Detectives: This show I love. It is a show that tells about America's little known historical facts using peoples private antiques and family heirlooms, doing the research on the items and correlating them to the greater scope of amercan history.

ZOMG: heart ! Stargate is about a gate that creates worm holes to worlds in other galaxies. There's big baddies, and other good stuff with epic space battles and really good humor. There are not making any more shows, but it ran for ten years and has two direct to DVD movies. (Also epic.) Seriously, this show is SO amazing. I even have a Stargate tattoo. I also like Stargate Atlantis, which is a spin off of Stargate. Battlestar Galactica. Also awesome, remake of the 1980's show. Amazing plot, and worth watching even if you don't like science fiction. It has a lot of interpersonal drama. And, -e-p-i-c- space battles. Like seriously, they JUMP INTO THE ATMOSPHERE, launch vipers and then JUMP OUT. I get goosebumps every time I watch it. Cash Cab is new right? I saw the stuff for it on TV and it looked really interesting. I try not to watch too much TV so I limit to only things with "star" in it. Dancing, Singing etc. offset that in which I would rather throw TV out then sit through.

I have a few, but right now the most I'm excited about is:
Pushing Daisies whee It's about a pie maker who can bring people back for only a minute or someone else dies in their place. So well done and so unique and so charming.
Long Way Down: documentary/series where Ewan McGreggor and his friend Charley Boorman ride their motorcycles from Scotland to Cape Town, Africa. I loved when they made Long Way Round, and this one's just as good.
Wolfen: We used to watch Cash Cab every night! Did you see the episode with the drug tweaking Irishmen who bailed out after the flashing lights?
Pirhan: I just got into Battlestar Galactica little over a year ago. It's so good! I cannot wait for the season to start up again and see more of Earth and find out who the last cylon is!

Yeah - BSG is great. Unfortunately they take their sweet time airing it. I loved Long Way Round. I didn't want to watch it at first (because of the Star Wars thing) but watching that made me actually like McGreggor.

Miss-Shade Wolfen: We used to watch Cash Cab every night! Did you see the episode with the drug tweaking Irishmen who bailed out after the flashing lights? No. I missed that one. I just got started on watching it. Darn! Oh, I also forgot to mention: Animal Precinct: It is a 'Cops' like show, but deals with animal abuse cases. Ninja Warrior: Awesome japanese physical sort of game show with difficult obsticle courses, and there is just something funny about a person taking a badly landed dive into water. But the Warrior couse is hard enough for Olympic athletes, not to mention the common person. It Takes a Thief: Basically this show is about teaching home security. Folks ask the show to test how safe their homes are, by staging what a burglar would do. (Literally I have seen the house TRASHED by one of the show hosts who was a real burglar.) Then they talk about the weaknesses of the home, and fix the problems. Then the measures are retested weeks later to see how well the home owner keeps things secure. It is a bit of an eye opener. Dirty Jobs: Just as the title says. Imagine picking up dead animal carcasses off the road, or work in a sewage treatment plant! And Mike Rowe is just hilarious. And finally, The Dog Whisperer: There is just something I like about Ceaser Milan. I cant explain it.

Pirhan- I just love Ewan McGeggor. He's one of the few actors I go fan girl over.
Onicoe- Fringe is so good! I'm really hoping it does well. But Lost coming back in Jan? Sheesh. What's with shows making us wait so long?
Oh and I can't forget to mention Three Sheets! Best drinking/traveling/food show ever.

PiercedPixie2 Anthony Bourdain is awesome! He makes me want to visit so many places i never thought of. I don't think I even need to watch anthony bourdain so long as I can listen to him talk. I frequently tell my friends that I would love to molest his mind. @Miss-Shade. For a several seasons now, Lost has been starting their season late in order to be able to air all the episodes uninterrupted by repeats or breaks in airing. It's great but then again you have to wait until january! [:

I watch House, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, and Anthony Bourdain with the girls when they're here, or we'll watch a movie or two together.
I'm mostly a science/history fiend, so flipping through the guide will find me listening to something different all the time, learning, learning---and double-checking stuff then via computer.
I must confess to being a huge newshound. Everybody's news, from everywhere, whether it's the tv, computer, or in print.
The brain is a terribly difficult taskmaster. The more I learn, the more I want to learn.
Thank God for full moons by the firepit, with the symphony of nature to keep me (reasonably) sane. Otherwise, I know I'd never settle down and sleep.
