Get more members, more activity, and be more worthwhile if we broadened our horizons?
Could Bowie become part of a much larger picture for us? Glam Rock? Classic Rock? Feedback people, please - as this place is dying on its arse right now... stressed

I don't think it would hurt if we officially broadened our range to glam rock.
There are already three classic rock guilds. >__<

i think that changing the guild to glam rock would be exactly the same as leaving it as it is. any glam rock fan would've joined already don't you think?. i think classic rock would be better. there would be more topics.

Hallo there! Im a new memeber so I dont quite know just how seriously you'll all take my imput, but here it is anyways. I think you should keep this place strictly a Bowie guild, but I also think you blokes should do more to put your name out on gaia. Shameless self promotion always works. xp Either way the fabulousness of this place should be enough to see the guild through. Best of luck. heart

Hi everyone. I'm a new member, and I'm here because I adore David Bowie. For what it's worth, here's my opinion on this topic. I definitely don't think this guild should be expanded to include all classic rock. I think it could lead to arguments between people dedicated to glam rock and people dedicated to, say, southern rock. I like small groups more than large groups, so it would be fine with me if this guild stayed small. If, however, you think the guild would benefit from larger numbers, I would advocate that we expand to include all glam rock/art rock (such as The Cure, Gary Glitter, Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, perhaps even Kiss and Jethro Tull). Also, I would suggest that all members include a guild banner in their signatures to help spread the word. I have seen banners for this guild a few times on Gaia, and that's what piqued my interest. Sorry this is a long post, but I didn't know how else to get my point across.

I think that since it is Bowie-exclusive, that makes it special. As said before, there are alot of classic rock guilds out there. Also, I can't exactly say that all classic rock is good. Personally, I like the "Let's Dance" era stuff, and the stuff he did with Brian Eno the best.

I tend to agree. That would help the guild grow without becoming too big and unfocused.
