Roxy was rather pleased with her current surroundings, and her head was held high as she bobbed across the dusty landscape. She had high hopes that fall would soon arrive, since the humidity did nasty things to her mounds of mane of tail. She wasn't someone who cared that much about appearances, but her hair was LONG, and when it was hot she was a mare to stay weary of. Little details of discomfort made her rather grumpy but today was different, and a crisper air kept her cheerful and perky.
She continued forward until finally seeing a familiar patch of trees. These trees were special and unique, since they held red apples! The young mare grinned while moving herself into a forward dart, and she quickly stopped right towards the middle of the patch. Getting the apples out of the trees was always a tougher challenge, but Roxy was a mare who lived for challenges! Plus, she was hungry!
The mare then focused her eyes on the middle of the tree, and with one large "HYAAA" she kicked her front legs forward, and with luck three apples made their way towards the ground. And, with a smile of success, Roxy lowered her head to bite into one of the perfect shades of red. And without hesitation, she swallowed the delicious morsel. "Yuuuum!" The decision to make her way towards these trees was a good one, and she munched and nibbled while wiggling her bright tail.

((An early sorry for this post. XD; My muse was dead for a good half or so of it. This actually brought part of my muse back which is weird. o_o It waited till I finished before deciding it wants to work XD; ))
As the crisp air blew over Klei he felt a bit content with himself. He was rather happy that the summer was coming to an end. Finally he didn't having to worry about walking out into the sun and instantly beginning to roast in the heat, ruining the rest of his day. Now when he steps out into the air he doesn't suffer from that anymore. He can peacefully enjoy his days and whatever he decides to do during them.
Klei made sure to stretch out all four of his legs before he trotted off. He hadn't exercised yet today so he chose to do it now. After a while of trotting he sped up to a gallop. As his speed increased his mane and tail blew more wildly as the wind blew them around.
Hungry has stricken Klei in the middle of his run. He turned his head to the side to look at his rumbling stomach as if it would take the hint that he wanted it to stop. He seemed to be glaring at it more then just looking at it to be honest. He let out an agitated sigh as he looked around for something to satisfy his stomach's hunger. "Mm... I think there was something around here somewhere..." Klei said allowed. He remembered passing this area multiple times before and he believes there were apple trees in the area.
In the distance there they were. The group of trees that held those rather juicy apples he found before were just ahead. Changing his direction and slowing down to a trot again he made his way closer to the trees. With stomach growling again Klei started thinking how he was going to get the apple down. Be it that he only attempted to get apples down once, which was a while ago, he didn't remember the best way to go about it.
A few strides away from the trees he noticed a blur of icy blue near them. He stopped trotting and looked on. Tilting his head to try and get a better angle, without actually moving anywhere, he tried to see what it was. After a few minutes of looking he realized it was a blue mare. Her color was so bright, he had a problem focusing on her. His mind started thinking about the mare and that got his stomach angry. With more loud growling Klei's stomach would not let it be forgotten. He sighed again as he slowly made his way to the trees.

(( Its ok that totally happens to me too >3 <33! Oh let me know if this font is too light or anything, I can always fix it XD! ))
Roxy's ears flicked naturally in response to the stallion's presence, and she turned herself while munching quite heartily on an apple. Rather then acting all ladylike, she continued chewing and watching the other bright creature. When her mouth was finally free from the clumpy apple bits, she turned her body so she could more properly face the fellow. There was something about him that seemed off... and within seconds she could tell why! A hefty stomach growl left the stallion's belly, and Roxy in response giggled to herself. "Looks like you need some apples!" And fast!
Around her hooves lay apples that had fallen from her ever-so-majestic kick to the tree. Although she wasn't always the type to share, the stallion's stomach was enough to convince her towards his actual need of food! If her stomach was that noisy she'd probably be begging anyone who was around without shame! Eating was rather important to her, afterall. "I have plenty of apples right here if you'd like some. Plus, I can always kick down more." She raised her head upwards and glanced at all of the apple trees. At least they had plenty to go around, since who knew how hungry the stallion was!
In an act of selfishness, Roxy then brought her eyes on the stallion's markings and coloring, and she felt a sense of familiarity since she carried a hefty amount of markings herself. The stallion had some intricate details on his back, and she evaluate her own sometime! He was bright, but in a different way compared to her. Roxy had seen all sorts of creatures in the land, but this stallion had his own uniqueness that was nice. She rather preferred uniqueness, since she was always striving to act that way herself. "Oh, I should probably introduce myself." she then realized, while shaking her head clumsily. "I'm Roxy, and its always nice to meet a new face."

((Your font's fine. :3 I usually copy and paste things in Notepad while making tags anyway. XD I have 2 notepad files open, one with the rp reply and one with my own typing. >w< *is weird like that*))
Klei's emotion changed as the blue mare spoke back at him. "What?" he quickly responded. The sudden reaction from her mouth confused him slightly. He didn't think his presence was that noticeable since he didn't really make that many loud sounds. It must have been his stomach again! Klei quickly glared to his stomach before turning to look at her once more.
What is it with mares and apple trees? This was the second one he ran into while looking for a snack. "Does it? It's ok. I'm fine without." He replied with a bit of hesitation. He always preferred to eat alone since he never wanted to bother with the presence of others so the fact how the mare in front of him was extremely perky about him eating here threw him off. Not knowing how he felt about it yet Klei let it go.
"I can see that but that's ok." Klei acknowledged that there was in fact apples on the ground. "I think I'm able to get my own apple." Looking up at the very tree she got her apples from he began to think again about the best way of getting one down. Normally he would just kick the tree but just recently his legs seem to hurt if forced against something at a certain angle. Hard running for him was fine though, which doesn't make much sense if one thinks about it.
Klei had noticed that he was being looked over. In return he raised a bow and looked back. So much blue. She would be able to blend in with the sky perfectly if she could fly. Klei's thoughts to himself were mostly random and made little sense. As she introduced herself Klei had now found a name to match the brightly colored body that stood in front of him. Roxy huh? he thought to himself as he continued to scan her over. Not really being one for formal or big introductions he simply added, after she finished, his own name, "Klei."
Klei would beg to differ at Roxy's last statement. Only rarely does he ever enjoy meeting new faces. Most of the time he's rather avoid new meetings since any other time he simply puts up with it. Unfortunately for him his ideal thoughts on the matter never came true.

Klei, eh? Roxy crunched her nose back and forth as she tried to absorb a snort sound. But alas, the snort came out, and she dragged her eyes completely on the male as he decided to handle the apples on his own. Well, were her apples not good enough? Or were her attempts to be social completely futile? She KNEW she hated being nice for a reason, since not everyone would be nice back! Well screw that!!
"Let me get some simple facts out here, Klei." she then said, with a snarky tone. "You are very rude. If you didn't want me around in the first place, you could have saved me that hellish effort from before." she took a deep breath in and tried hard to control her crazed emotions. She didn't even know the stallion, and he had already hurt her feelings. But she was much too proud to admit that. So instead, she was constantly defensive. That was Roxy in a nutshell.
"You have every right to be around these apples as I do. And, since that is a true fact, I will leave you to enjoy them as you wish." With her nose in the air, she turned herself so that she was a few steps away from Klei now. There. He could do with them what he wanted, and eat which he wanted. She wouldn't be there to bother him anymore!
Roxy's eyes were much calmer now that they were off of the stallion, and she took a breath in to calm herself even more. She hated the fact that she wasn't patient, but still! She had every right to be upset at Klei. She was a proud mare who needed to have respect when she gave it. Her eyes lowered to the ground as she considered the possibility of her own reaction as too mean, and she closed her eyes suddenly and wondered if she should just run from the situation! But no. That was not her way.
So instead, she was only patient as a fellow creature, and stared ahead at some of the trees in the distance.

Klei raised a brow as he listened to what Roxy started to say. Well isn't that a personality change... he thought to himself as he looked at her. At first he didn't really want to bother with a response but he decided upon saying something anyway. "I don't remember ever saying anything about you being or not being here so I have no idea where you got that idea from."
Even though Klei tries to avoid all serious conversation he wasn't about to let bashing words against him go unanswered. "Whether you leave those apples or not I'm not going to eat them. I prefer getting my own food so you might as well eat them before other animals do." He added as, he too, turned his nose up. Mares... and others wonder why I don't deal with them often.. he thought with a sigh, as he shook his head.
Now, she obviously didn't want him to be in her presence anymore or atleast was tuning him out. That's her choice and Klei wouldn't interrupt her. Turing back towards the tree he looked up. Only if he had wings. He could then simply fly up and get the apples that he wanted instead of hoping certain ones fall. He scanned the tree from top to bottom, then noticing the apples that Roxy got down again.
Klei turned his head towards Roxy, who seemed to be trying to calm herself or just ease her mind. With another sigh Klei spoke up. "Roxy. Get over here and eat your apples. You know you were happy with them until I got here. Go back to you enjoyment." How she took it or whether she would listen to him or not he didn't care. He said what he had to and went about his own business at this point.
Approaching the tree Klei became determined. Eyes glaring at the tree as if it was a threat he bolted at it. With a last minute reaction he spun himself around and kicked the tree with his hind legs. He felt his legs pinch and rattle from the strong force being stopped by the sturdy object and quickly retracted them. Luckily it was enough to have a few apples fall. Most of them hit him on the way down.

She overhead Klei talking to her, and she felt sort of childish for still turning away from him. She hated that aspect about herself, since she always ran away from others and assumed they didn't want her around. It was a bad habit, and she was working hard to overcome it. She wasn't sure what to do at this point, and she took a deep breath and awaited Klei's next set of words.
Roxy turned quite quickly as Klei said some surprising words, and she felt herself blush a bit in shock! He wanted her to come back, and wasn't totally mad at her? She had been rude before, and apparently he had forgiven her... Someone forgiving her had never happened before. "I really should apologize..." she then said, while making her way back to the tree she was originally in front of. "I am sort of odd when it comes to being social." The mare then lowered her head down to another apple, and she took a delightful bite.
"I think we can both be here and enjoy ourselves." she then said, while crunching the apple in her mouth. Once she had swallowed it, she then added, "And I'll try not to storm off again, or make you feel uncomfortable like that. Especially since you were kind enough to give me a chance to stay over here." She needed to learn how to calm herself around others, and remain more stable and less aggressive!
She watched Klei's attempt to get more apples down, and just as she was going to ask if he needed help, she watched all kinds of apples fall on his head! "Oh my!" she then said, while moving herself over towards him. "Are you alright? I know apples aren't the strongest thing out there, but they can still hurt badly." She had the same thing happen to her before, and it was not a pleasant experience.
Luckily Klei looked as thought he was going to be alright so the mare had less to worry about! "Well, at least you have a lot of apples now.." she looked around Klei's hooves and saw and abundance of apples that he could now enjoy. He definitely wouldn't go hungry anymore, and she was glad for that. She knew how bad it felt to be starving, and that was precisely why she was around the apples as well.

As the apples came falling down, only to hit him on the way down, Klei became very still. His body grew warm as he became embarrassed about what happened just now. Eventually letting Roxy's words loosen him he shook off. Even though, Klei was still very embarrassed and his body remained a bit stiff. Trying to forget the fact how he just got pummeled with a bunch of apples he ignored her question and chose to get off the subject, nudging a few apples around on the ground.
"You really shouldn't feel the need to apologize." Klei said as he rose his head to looked at her. She did nothing wrong and neither did he in his eyes. Her apology made no sense to him. Well, he could understand why she felt she had to apologize but he still felt she didn't need to. "I'm not very social myself. So I take no offense to your actions." It was true for the most part. Klei was never the one to strike up a conversation, usually. Or was ever the one to add himself to a group gathering. He was usually found else where doing other things.
Looking down at all the apples he didn't know what to do with himself. What do I do with all of these? He looked a bit sad as he looked at the apples. He didn't want to just leave them there but he knew he wouldn't or more so couldn't eat them. "Might as well start somewhere.." he said under his breathe as he bent down to bite into an apple. Tending to eat things in as little bites as possible finishing off the apple took all but a few seconds. Klei shook his head and neck after swallowing the apple. He wanted to make sure he wouldn't choke on if for obvious reason. Grabbing another apple he took a few steps out of the sea of apples. Placing the apple down Klei brought to Roxy's attention that she could have the apples. "I have have what I need. If you want those feel free."
He took a bite into the apple and again finished it in his normal fashion.

The mare nodded quickly at Klei's words about her apology. If she didn't need to say sorry again then she'd most definitely oblige. She did feel sort of silly in the first place for apologizing, but manners as a skill were still a practice for her. She grinned to herself as she watched Klei munch on more apples, and she saw their current conversation as a perfect time to test her own learned skills. Her social skills were rather weak in comparison to other mares, but that's because she had no practice. She usually shooed everyone away with some stand offish attitude! And she almost did the same earlier with Klei!
Roxy realized that for many moments there was a light silence between the two of them. It wasn't that she minded the silence, but she could tell the stallion was as quiet as she was. Roxy tended to be in her own world most of the time, so maybe Klei understood that sort of thing? She snapped out of her daze when she heard him offer her his apples, and she only shook her head politely before replying. "Thank you, but I've eaten too many I'm afraid. If I eat anymore I'll probably explode! But I'm sure the next time someone dwells over here they will happily eat those apples, so I doubt they'll go to waste."
Roxy glanced around the area and looked to see what else was around them. Even though the actual area was sort of quiet, it was rather lovely with all of the trees and landscapes. "Since we've eaten our fill, shall we take a walk around?" she was surprised at her question, since she usually didn't impose on other soquili's lives. "That is to say, if you're not too busy or anything." she lowered her eyes then and cursed her social inability to do things!
"I'm someone who travels all over, and I spend most of my time exploring. I have yet to check out beyond this apple area, so I figured I'd invite some company." she glanced her eyes forward and on all of the paths they had to choose from. She wasn't sure -where- she'd want to go, but a walk would feel nice anyways. She was pretty full from all of the apples, and her body was begging to move again! "Though I'll admit, I'm not very good at this sort of thing. You haven't seemed to mind so far." She chuckled then and moved her hair out of her eyes.

Klei's ears perked as Roxy spoke once more, shortly followed by a raise of the head. Klei found himself trying to visualize what she was saying but found that it was a rather silly visual, and that it couldn't possibly happen. Why he chose to try and visualize that particular scene he didn't know. He could only assume because, if taken literally, it's hard to believe and overall odd or funny to say. Hearing her positive outtake on just leaving the apples make Klei a bit happy though. Looking back towards the apples he was glad that the chance of them not going to waste was there. He'd hate to see his efforts go to waste even more. It was already wasted because of the fact that he couldn't eat all the ones he made fall. Klei honestly didnt expect that many to fall down. But to not completely depend on others to eat them he bent down, picked up an apple and placed it on his back, trying to balance it there for later.
Klei turned back towards Roxy as she asked a question. The question was a bit random to him but one can only assume everything is random when you don't have a plan planned out before hand. Noticing her eyes turn away Klei responded, "I guess I could go for a walk." He began to wonder how well he could balance the apple on his back and walk at the same time. He'd sure find out now wont he? Knowing his luck it'd fall, but if it did he'd probably just leave it on the ground. "I didn't actually plan anything past eating and I'm never really busy...." Sad as it may sound it was true. Klei was rarely busy. Usually just roaming around he takes the day as the minutes go by so most of the time he was considered "free".
"Are you?" he questioned as he tilted his head. At appearance he wouldn't have taken her to be an explorer. "If you spend most of the time exploring then why haven't you been beyond these trees?" That was a little odd wasn't it? Saying you explore and travel all over but not checking out the area where you are currently eating food? Though he didn't know exactly where she usually goes so she may have just stumbled upon this area. "I spend most of my time roaming aimlessly so I may not be considered an explorer but if you wanted the company I guess I can follow you."
"And what sort of thing? Do you mean being around someone in general or talking?" Klei questioned again. "I usually take things as they come, so I've learned to get used to a lot. So if you are worried about me 'minding' something you needn't worry." Not to say that forcing himself to get used to things was a bad thing. Even though he might ignore a lot he rarely comes in contact with stuff that bothers him; or at least he hasn't come across that situation in a while. Klei chuckled once at the entire thing, indicating that he was at least not annoyed. "Do you have anywhere particular you were planning on going?"

Heh, how silly. He wasn't the busy type either? That made Roxy feel sort of better, since when she asked the question she felt as though she was the only soquili on the planet who -wasn't- busy. But apparently there were some soqs that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life! Or maybe Klei just liked avoiding others like Roxy did? She'd have to figure that out later! "Well I am glad for the company." she then added, while bobbing her hair-scarf politely. "I'll be sure to keep you entertained, since the idea of boredom sucks." And hopefully he'd do the same?
As they walked slowly and away from the trees, Roxy flicked her ears at Klei's questions. He was a better listener then she had guessed at first, and he was rather keen on her before statements! That was indeed impressive, she'd have to admit. "Well when I approached this area, I smelled the trees and apples instantly. I wanted to wander onwards like we are now, but my stomach spoke out first." She'd never hide her extreme appetite. "The apples smelled and looked so good, so I detoured to them instantly. And before I wandering away, you showed up. So although my plans go changed, now I have some company. And you've been very kind."
As to the questions about her social habits, Roxy only flicked her tail while keeping her eyes off of Klei's. There was no reason to make him uncomfortable, he was being rather patient and nice. She was so not used to that from others! "Ah well, its really not important if it doesn't bother you ya know? I think we all have habits that maybe we ourselves notice more then others." With a nod, she concluded that tension in her mind. She didn't want to be a rambler, afterall! Since that would seriously be boring for Klei.
Hm. She didn't have a distinct plan, but maybe she was giving off that idea? She liked to hope that others would read her as a well composed and tough mare. She could handle herself just fine all by herself! "I've -heard- that there is a stream around here that has hot water. Even though it is sort of chilly in the air, apparently the water is naturally hot all of the time. And I was sort of interested to see if such a thing existed." she paused then, and shook a leaf off her front hoof. "Have you heard of something like that before?" Hey, maybe he was more cultured then her on that sort of nature?
"I feel as though I am answering so many questions, so how about I give you the spotlight?" she grinned at him and wondered if he wanted to talk himself! "Besides wandering, what else do you enjoy doing for fun, Klei?" Yeah, that was a simple and comfortable question. Plus she was interested to know more about him.

(( o_o Shoot. So long. I didnt realize I typed so much. XD;;;; ))
What Roxy said was true. The idea of boredom did suck. The only time it didn't was when it was one of those days where you lounge around all day. But that really isn't boredom then, since you wanted to do it. He was glad that she thought the way she did about being bored. Their walk would go really slow otherwise. "I have to agree with you on that one. Boredom does indeed suck." he added with a few nods.
Klei's tail swayed as he walked, or more that he purposly made sure it swayed when he walked. Even though he doesn't care about getting dirty he liked his tail to stay as white as possible. Just the fact how dragging his tail on the ground could get it dirty was annoying, and he didn't like it. "I guess your stomach got the best of you then." he added as soon as she stopped. "Though I guess my stomach got the best of me as well." His stomach was not content. He never wanted it to get too full but never wanted it too empty as well. Talking about the apples made him remember about the one on his back. He felt it rock back and forth as he body swayed with each step. So far so good. He wondered how long it would last. "I probably would have done the same. Since I never have a set destination I spend a lot of my time detouring." Klei always tried to plan ahead but it never came natural to him so he never did it. The only time he'd have a set path was if he was going home. But even then things might drive him astray. "I wouldn't necessarily call myself being kind." After taking a few more steps he added to his statement. "Just because I chose to follow you doesn't mean everything I do when around others is kind. You just happened to have found me when I was hungry." For Klei it was the opposite. Usually when someone's hungry all they want to do is eat and be left alone, but in Klei's case he seems more open when he's hungry.
Habits huh? That could be true. Whether it's his own habits, social or general, or the habits of others he tends to kept them in mind. Even if he looks like he's not paying attention good chances are that he is. "I guess that's true if you think about it." Because he usually watches more then getting involved he learned to be able to remember things from simply watching. Whether it be the words someone says or the little details that others might skip over, it all comes naturally to him and he's able to analyze it so quickly too.
He watched as they both aimlessly walked onward. Or at thing point it looked like it was aimlessly. Though technically Klei was only following so there very well might be heading somewhere. As she asked about the river several rivers in the area ran though his head. Though he couldn't recall any of the having hot water all the time. He knew that he hasn't hit every one so the chances of there being one is good. "Really? I don't believe I've heard about that. I've been to several streams and lakes but I don't think I came across that one. Then again I don't usually go hunting for them." That's right. It was getting colder. Fall is here only to be followed by a colder winter. Klei had only hoped it be a cold winter. He couldn't wait for the summer heat to end.
"Wait what?!" Klei stammered out, almost tripping over himself and the apple falling. He had gotten used to listening so when asked to take the spot light he grew surprised. He didn't really like being the main attention in anything. Always preferring to sit in the back and watch over taking the light. "....." His ears flicked at her question and he remained silent.
"....."
He eventually decided to speak up, though his words were now limited. "I don't know." Klei actually did think about it. What did he do for fun? He didn't quite know himself. Well, he does try to exercise everyday. Whether he found it fun or not is a different story. "I guess running or exercising?" He wasn't very confident in his answer which was kind of silly; but it was the only thing he could think of at the time.

She couldn't help but watch Klei balance the apple as he spoke, and a part of her grinned out of a small humor and laughter in her mind. It was rather clever of him to hold it so easily, and she was amazed that he was keeping the apple still for so long! Though she was definitely interested as they spoke of boredom, detours, and hunger. Klei was almost too similar to her in tastes, and that similarity struck again when he spoke about himself in reference to kindness. "I think detouring leads me to the best places." she then admitted, while glancing her eyes onto the landscape. "Sometimes I find the best fruits and trees, so maybe I should admit that my travels are totally controlled by my stomach?" she grinned at him then and realized he had her figured out. "Have you ever find anything uniquely amazing?" she then asked, while wondering if his stomach had lead him around too.
She wondered what he meant thought about the kindness thing, and she pondered the thought in reference to what she would do as well. "Well I mean, I'll admit I'm not always kind myself. I guess I am usually pretty harsh to others, but sometimes others just suck so bad!" she instantly kicked at the dirt and bent her ears back towards the thought. She seriously had too many memories of rude soquili. So today was especially rewarding in reference to Klei. "So far you have been totally kind to me, and I feel obliged to point it out and thank you." she smiled at him then before considering another thought. "I think it makes sense to be good or bad depending on certain situations. I'd rather someone be real then fake!" Like for right now, she and Klei were content, so it was good to be content with each other!
At his response towards the river she spoke of, she felt excited since that meant it was his first experience with the warm waters too. "Well I hope we find one then." she replied, while walking forward with a more attentive expression. "It'd be nice to know of a warm stream when winter starts to arrive. I am starting to worry about the cold..." As she finished her sentence, her eyes grew in size towards Klei's overall reaction towards her hobby question. She had to admit, she was totally surprised! But she also felt sort of bad. Did he really hate the spotlight that much? So far he was so calm and relaxed, and she had pulled the opposite out of him!
"Oh my!" she then said, and she made a sad face as she noticed the apple had fallen off of his back. She then rushed over to the apple, and picked it up carefully while only grabbing the stem with her mouth. As she watched him struggle with the words, she placed the apple carefully on his back. She'd leave the balancing part up to him again! But hopefully that would make him feel somewhat better since his apple was saved.
"There is no need to ever be embarrassed or anything, especially in front of me." she then said, while nodding in a hopeful manner. She had done plenty already that made her look sort of ridiculous herself! "And running and exercising is fun for me too, so I can understand those hobbies." Now she would be careful when addressing things to Klei! She knew how awkward and horrible it felt to be uncomfortable, and if leading the conversation meant Klei feeling more accustomed to the situation, then Roxy would happily do it.
"Shall we head on forward?" she then asked while hoping to distract Klei from any other stresses. "When we find some steam on the air I think that will hint that we are close to the warmer streams." But sadly who knew when that would happen!

That was a very good question. Did he every find any unique or even worth his while? Klei thought for a few moments before answering. "Even if I had I don't think it'd top finding the warm water streams." he finally answered with a nod. Even if he wasn't all that keen to the heat warm water was always a nice feeling. Floating in a warm body of water is just the perfect sensation one would need when the air turns colder. If the stream was real Klei would make sure to burn it's location in his mind. He plans to return to it multiples times, if it's real that is. "Though I can agree with the whole 'stomach adventuring' thing."
Klei chuckled as Roxy said that others sucked so bad. To him that was so true. Others really do suck so much. Just think about it? Look at the personalities that go around. There will either be the soquili with overly obnoxious personalities, ones with too sweet of a personality and then the rude ones. Of course there's combinations but those didn't really count as there own thing since everything has a base personality in the end. "Yeah, everyone sucks. That and you can't really trust anyone." were his only replies to her statement.
As Klei reacted expectingly he did notice that it seemed to catch Roxy off guard as well. His eyes, too, were also wide but they were more in an "oh crap" state. After regaining his stance he watched as she picked up the apple that he ended up knocking off his back. She went for the apple? Why? he thought to himself, in between his tripped up speech. It was just an apple after all, yet she chose to pick it up over leaving it there; he would have just left it. Now that the apple was back in place he had to focus on it again. He looked at it for a bit before turning back towards Roxy, and after stabilizing it.
His ears went back and his gaze to the side as Roxy talked about him not needing to be embarrassed. It's not that he wouldn't talk about things it's more so that he never talk to anyone about himself or ever had the need to. Not making himself known does that to someone; socially locking them inside. "I hope you don't take any offense to it.... well I guess it doesn't matter whether you take any offense to it or not. It's your own personal preference." His tone was more quiet then before as he turned to walk off in the direction they were going. Even though the situation was silly and small Klei reverted back to distancing himself again. "Those could hardly count as hobbies..." he muttered out as he was walking.
With a dull flick of the tail he ignored her question because he was already heading forward. After hearing her little hint on being able to tell if they were getting closer Klei looked up to see if he saw anything yet.
