The Quad An open, grassy area stretches out before you. Flowers arranged in carefully planted raised beds litter the open green, while a stone fountain bubbles merrily in the center. A trail in the corner or the quad opposite the gate leads into the woods and down to a swimming hole in the river. Most of the plants found here will be in landscaped beds of flowers, along with the occasional shade-tree. Anyone may post here. If you are posting OOC, please use some form of brackets, ((like this)).

((I know you told us we didn't have to RP going through the Quad, buty I'm still here anyway razz , also, if some of this seems a bit weird, I asked some questions in the other thread so... yeah ^_^))
Taroshi sighted and looked around. She had been walking for about 10 minutes, and she had already lost track where she was. Checking her bag she was shocked to see how much water she had already practically inhaled. She looked around and saw nothing but grass.
Quite far away she thought she saw some trees, but it could be almost anything. She had kept to the path! Or, atleast she believed that she had. She skimmed the horizon once more, but this time she noticed something different. What was that? A rock...? "no... it's not a rock" she whispered to herself. She stood there for a few seconds before she made up her mind. "well, I guess I have nothing else to follow but my feeling in the stomach, and that feeling tells me to go towards that thing there. And that I'm hungry!" she laughed a bit of her own sillyness "talking to yourself is one of the first signs that you are going insane"
She unpacked some of her food and after eating half of the first bagged meal, she swung the bag over her shoulder, and started walking again.[/

B.D. walked on the trail through the Quad. He looked at the flowers that were planted in nice little patches all over the green grass that seemed to rule the ground. "They look so protected with the grass around them," said B.D. to himself. He continued to walk until he got to the stone fountain in the middle of the Quad. B.D. sighed and shifted his pack to his other shoulder again before continuing down the trail that would lead him to South Arbor.

((Yes, this just means the GM won't interfere with you in the Quad. That's why I said you could skip it if you wanted. There's nothing much to happen to you, and there are no clues. xd ))

There's nothing much to happen to you, and there are no clues. xd )) ((Okay ^_^ Thank you)) After walking for another 10-15 minutes of time, Taroshi had finally arrived at her destination. "DUH! It was just a water fountain" she mumbled angrily to herself "Now I have probably have to go all the way back again!". She sat there, on the side of the fountain, cursing and feeling extremely bad for herself, when all of a sudden she heard a noise coming from the flowers nearby. "Who's there?" she asked, ready to jump and run if she HAD to. All of a sudden, a raccoon almost flew out of the flower bed, obviously scared by something. "AAAAARH" She yelled, and in her chock, she fell backwards into the fountain. She trashed around in the fountain for awhile, trying to get up, and finally got up, just to see the racoon dissapear into another flower bed. "ARG you stupid" she added in alot of curses "RACOON!" and aded even more threats to her sentence. "GREAT! Now I'm WET!" she got out of the fountain and looked to see that her bag was still there. "well, atleast the little b*****d didn't take the bag" she checked the bags conent "or any of my things IN the bag". After a few seconds she started to giggle "Oh. My. God... That was SO hilarious! I'm so glad nobody saw me, they would have laughed their heads off at me" her light clothes had already almost dried, she was all of a sudden VERY glad that she had put on her elfin clothes when she left this morning. Still giggleing slightly she said "oh well, I guess I better move on" and continued what she hoped was against the . If you had walked beside her, you would've been able to hear a continious giggle, and the occasional "me, afraid of a raccoon??" and some more giggles. She gave a "thank-god"-ing sigh when she FINNALY found the right trail. Here we are... I had just missed it because I was so obsessed with getting to the fountain. She then continued down the right trail, soon entering South Arbor.

Natasha waited at the front gate, a folder under her arm.
When B.D. arrived, her face broke in relief. "Oh good, you're here! I was hoping nothing happened to you on the way. We're closing the arboretum now, so I'm supposed to get all of the visitors and searchers out. Oh, don't worry, we found Kitten. Thank you SO much for helping! Oh, before I forget..."
Tasha dug a hand in her pocket, pulling out a plastic card. It read, '$20% off any non-auction GVGS adoption.'
"Hang onto this in case you ever want to come adopt a plant...it's our way of saying thank-you for all the help!" She handed him the card. "Okay, goodb...oh wait!! I'm supposed to return the stuff you borrowed too..I'll just take it with me back to the office so you don't have to walk all the way."
Tasha held out her arms to take the issued supplies, then ushered B.D. towards the gate.
In the parking lot, an Ambulance screamed to a stop.

As B.D. left, Natasha could be seen unlocking the sides of the gate so the paramedics could get their equipment in. She handed them a radio, and they hurriedly passed her on their way to Kitten.

Song meandered out onto the green grass of the Quad. The flower beds were looking gorgeous, and she was quite fond of them. She plucked Phili out of her pocket and set her down.
"I'm going to linger here a bit...thought you might want to look around. This place is very relaxing to me."
Phili smiled and bobbed her head, her green hair bouncing in her wake. "Okay then, just call me when you want to go." She bounded off into the nearest flowerbed, presumably to play with some sprite or another.
Song leaned against the edge of one of the raised beds and sighed. Her arboretum was a great place...but soon enough she was going to have to deal with that spider. She hoped it hadn't had any eggs on board.

Japi poked her head in and looked around. "Wow, it's really pretty here." She stepped inside the gate and waved at everyone inside, including the plants.

Song looked up at the girl who had just come in. She didn't recognize Japi, so she went over to meet her.
Song approached Japi softly.
"Hi, I haven't seen you around here before. Is this your first visit?" Song's eyes crinkled kindly as she smiled. It was always nice to see new people interested in plants.

Krys was still joking with Julie... more like harassing the sprite, when they approached the fountain. The woman sat down for a moment, needing to rest her feet.
Julie looked around nervously as Krys took off her shoes to rub her feet. "We shouldn't stop here..." he mumbled, tugging on the woman's ear.
Krys waved him off irritatably, "Why not? It's as safe here as anywhere..."
"Exactly!" the sprite grabbed a piece of the woman's stray hair and wrapped himself in it, trying to hide. "Nowhere is safe right now..."
Pausing for a moment, the woman sighed, "That spider really freaked you out, didn't it?"
"Yeah, so.... if you were my size, you'd be scared too!" he whimpered.
Silence hung in the air for a bit. Finally, without saying another word, Krys put her shoes back on. All of a sudden, the fun of this hunt evaporated. "Alright, let's go." She stood, and as she did, the human caught the sight of a flicker of gold.
Frowning, she went to investigate. Julie clung tightly, still wrapped in Krys's hair.
