The night was young as the unikalona stalked through the quite eve unannounced, small ceatures fleeing from her vicinity as soon as she neared. Her step held a dangerous sway, wings folded delicately against her side as blood ruby orbs glittered in a sort of derranged madness. Her coat was stained with dried blood from her previous feast a few hours prior on some naughty little foal who decided to stray from its parents in the dark.
Shame neither its mother or father came when the little wretch screamed in agony as she tore it limb from limb.
Chuckling darkly, the mare's spade tail flicked back and forth to slice through the cool air...boredom wasn't something Raven enjoyed. Infact....it made her a little, well, insane. That said something for a halfbreed known for being mentally unstable and offbalance, yet her pleasures ran much darker than most unikalona hybrids. She was the first offspring of the first unikalona, her mother Gaiacinta. Oh how she wished she could find her again, and possibly slit her throat; not that it would to any harm to her.....Raven began to believe her horn had been permanently stained in the blood of her victims. It always had such a lovely metalic smell to it.
Everyone deserved to die. No if, ands or buts. She even believed that she too deserved to die....but now how on earth would she be able to kill them all if she died first? No....she'd kill herself after her duty was done to rid this world of everyone in it. Hell, she enjoyed evey day the pain and suffering she caused to families and individuals alike.
Speaking of which....a sinister grin drew on her lips as she came across an enclosed clearing, a stream stretching across the outer limit of trees as a mare stood there. Not any mare either, this one was unique, one she'd never come across before. Taking a moment to observe this specimen it looked Angeni, but Kalona....but neither. Oh how she'd enjoy ridding this abomination from existance!
Without a sound, the mare's jaws opened wise as her fangs glittered in the soft moon's glow. Spreading her leathery wings she took off into a fast glide across the clearing, already her jaws ached to sink into warm flesh...her ears longing to hear that beautiful agonizing cry.... Raven attacked with a growing lust in her heart, evident from her Kalona heritage.

It had been a week or so since she'd met him....since Airlia had run into Cobalt. That night still often replayed in her mind much to her dismay, showing such weakness towards anyone was disgraceful in her books. How could she have been the fool, she wasn't too sure on the answer but she was beginning to find how the fellow misfit was affecting her on a day to day basis. She felt lighter, happier....more at ease just having him at her side as they walked in silence. Never would she imagine feeling such in her life, it was naturally a big change from being the tempermental, skiddish and otherwise unstable mare she was prior.
She stood this eve in the clearing not too far from where they had made camp of a thicket fo the night, yet she couldn't sleep. Luckily she still had her agility and stealth to sneak off in the night to have a few moments to herself to dwell and ponder. It was rare that she wanted to be alone but now just seemed like one of those times she needed a bit of solitude.
Something was different though, inside. Airlia could feel herself needing the blue stallion more and more as the day passed, she'd panic slightly if she lost sight of him for more than a few moments while traveling. She craved his touch, his smiles, his laughter. In short....she didn't want him to ever leave. The mare wasn't dumb and knew in usual circumstances that it meant she was falling for him.
Yet Airlia wasn't a usual mare. Could this be just a cruel joke from her mental disabilities, causing her to feel these things before she'd fall into her usual habits; or was it the real deal? Sighing in frustration, the mare knitted her brows together and flicked her tail lightly. Nothing was ever easy, was it?
Apparently not, since before she could even let out a growl the sharp pain of fangs sinking into her flank caused her to scream a short but loud cry of pain. Immediately slashing her clubbed tail out, the felt the body shift out of the way at the last moment, her eyes snapping onto the unikalona before her.
"b***h! Get the hell away from me before I rip you to shreads!" She hissed, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in her hip and to really ignore the most beautiful blood which spilled across her white pelt. Snorting loudly, her tail began to thrash behind her, feathered wings outstretched as her own vampiric like fangs glittered as her lips drew back in a snarl. This hybrid was smaller than she was, much more agile too with her body holding a lot less wind resistance. How the hell was she supposed to fight this mare, she had no training from father....she was useless other than smaller prey; and this mare was definately taking on the hunter role.
Feeling her heart start to pound against her chest as a rising concern began to bubble, Airlia tried to remain alert despite her doubts....should she try and flee to Cobalt? No...she didn't want to endanger him after what had happened before around blood.

Oh how delightful!
Licking her lips in a strange derranged mannor, Raven's eyes lit up as she barely evaded the swing of the mare's peculiar tail. If she wasn't careful she'd have quite a nasty wound from that appendage, not to mention this mare was also equipt with fangs and a unicorn's horn as well. She would have most fun killing this individual!
"Oh will you now...you and what means? You....mare.....you know what I am here to do....and yet you still have hesitation in your voice. Why have you not ended my life yet....or is it, that you cannot?" A wicked smirk stretched across her ebony lips, eyes dancing with fire as she took a tentative step closer to the freak mare. Raven quite enjoyed the taste of this one's blood, it was sweet, yet held a subtle dark richness to it.....it was rare from the inpure sludge she tasted from the usual soquili and the tart taste of the youth.
"I will enjoy slowly devouring you till you can no longer function....all the while screaming for death. It is a most beautiful of deaths, shame you will never have the joy to experience causing that on another."
Without another word she took off again, using her smaller, lithe frame to circle around the mare. Avoiding a swing that she took again with her tail, Raven ran her clawed tipped wings along Airlia's side, feeling the warmth trickle onto her leathery wings. As adrenaline and bloodlust began to course through the Unikalona's viens, she thrust her body against the legs of the hybrid....sucessfully catching her offguard as the larger body tumbled to the ground.
Immediately using one of her hind hooves to stomp onto her tail to immobilize it her jaws immediately wrapped and clenched around the mare's throat; starting to cut off her breathing. A bemused chuckle rumbled in Raven's chest, seems that her opponent only looked fierce, as she was a bit dissapointed on how easily she had gone down.
Watching Airlia's face as she began to struggle and gasp for air, that sick smirk only grew wider as she could see her starting to slip from consiousness.
"Hush my beautiful morsel.....fall into sleep....I will save you from a horrid demise of pain." She breathed through her grasp, watching as the white mare closed her eyes....falling into an unconsious slumber.

Cobalt had been sleeping lightly, his dreams remarkably peaceful, unaware that Airlia had slipped off.
It had only been a little over a week since the day he first met Airlia. Yet, still he found himself growing happier and happier just to be around her. Pleasing her, seeing a slow, half-hidden smile grace her fair face, the way she seemed to enjoy his company just as much as he enjoyed hers...the blood incident was all but forgotten.
He had been too happy, too distracted, to think about something that seemed unlikely to happen again.
So happy that he had even forgotten that they were misfits, outcasts, different from all the rest. He had simply been happy to exist, and had been growing more foolish and giddy by the day. Of course, that was to be expected of a stallion in love...although he didn't think he was in love, though all the signs and symptoms were there. But even he couldn't deny that he needed her. Her presence made him feel whole. She was quickly becoming his best friend, something he thought he'd never have.
And so, he was dreaming about their travels together, all the good times they'd had, and there had been many of them during the few days they'd been together.
It was a good thing Cobalt was a light sleeper. Airlia's cry woke him at once, and he knew immediately that something had gone horribly, horribly wrong.
He ran swiftly through the surrounding foliage, leaving a trail of smashed branches and trampled ferns, not caring about the dozens of small scratches he was receiving from the tangled limbs of the trees.
Airlia was in trouble, and she needed him.
That was all he cared about.
Crashing into the clearing, Cobalt was horrified at the sight. Airlia, covered in her own blood, held mercilessly in the jaws of a Unikalona!
"AIRLIA!" It was more a war scream than one of fright, as Cobalt did what any stallion would do if their love was in danger. He slammed into the ebony-colored mare's shoulder, anger coloring his vision red, and sunk his own teeth into her side, without even thinking about the repercussions.
Because, being that close to blood was bound to have an effect on him.
Feeling that unfamiliar feeling again, he tensed himself, expecting to fall down in another faint. This time, however, it was different. He was still angry, a hot, deadly anger that boiled through his blood, but his eyesight didn't fade, and his body didn't feel woozy. Instead, a blackness, an awful blackness, burst forth from some crevice deep within his soul, flooding his senses with a burning desire for death, blood, and vengeance.
It was like the Cobalt that normally dwelled behind his eyelids was placed behind a barrier, while some darker shadow-beast took control of his body. Purely instinctual, he could not stop himself from trying to tear at the ebony-mare that had almost killed his friend.
Not that he wanted to. She had, after all, nearly killed Airlia. And that was unforgivable.

What was this? Something else was approaching, something fast.
Perking her ears as she still held on lightly to the unconsious mare's neck, this beast certianly had no stealth as even from this distance she could near the branches snap and give way from the sheer size and strength of her new playmate. Immediately her curiosity grew as her eyes fell upon her current victim, musing to herself the possibilities. "Oh ho....maybe someone is coming for you..."
However before she even could prepare herself, the mare heard the stallion scream out a name; the sheer rage in his voice like sweet heavenly bells in her ears. Suddenly a sharp pain in her her shoulder sent her coo'ing in delight at the intensity, a warped soul she was indeed. Snapping her ruby eyes onto Cobalt; she took him in quickly before letting out a deadly hiss. Using her wings to take two swipes at his face with her clawed wings, Raven ripped herself out of his grasp and fluttered a few feet away.
"Well well well, what do we have here. A hybrid huh...." She could easily see the Kalona traits in this one, moreso than the mare. Smirking wickedly as she drew a few more steps back seeing him lash out at her with death in his eyes; she let out a sinister chuckle.
"Awww, poor creaton....did I take away your meal.....or perhaps, your lover?" Perhaps lover was more suiting, since she didn't quite believe he would know her name if he was merely hunting her for food. "Shame it is....that you were so careless to let her get in such trouble in the first place. What, troubles in paradise?" She laughed openly, her voice dripping with venom as she quickly snapped her jaws closed.
Oh how she enjoyed to see what she could do to get under other's skin.
Leaning her head down and licking the blood from her wound, she let a euphoric expression cross her face. "Blood is divine, don't you think? Your lover tasted so delicious, I wonder how yours taste....." She winked, cackling as her spade tail flicked in a more and more excited mannor by the minute.

In the grip of something stronger than his own pain, the slashes across his cheekbones were of little consequence to him. His pain was unimportant, it was only a message, it could be ignored.
His...lover? Even as enraged as he was, that word sent electric tingles down his spine. He would have to put away that thought for another time, when he could think clearer.
It was official, though. This mare was going to regret harming Airlia. "The only trouble here, is you!" The words spat out venomously through his bared fangs. Holding himself back, waiting for an opening, these were marks of a predator, which Cobalt had never shown before.
Delicious...Cobalt was thinking the same about this half-crazed mare's blood. Her blood tasted like power. Lunging forward, unable to hold back any longer, he struck with teeth, hooves, and wings, fighting only with sheer size and strength, as technique had never been honed into him. Without proper training, he was a rather uncoordinated fighter, his ferocity a product of bloodlust alone. In these moments, Cobalt knew he was just as Kalona as any of the others. Dangerous, deadly, full of anger and hate. But he didn't know if that would be enough to win. This mare had insanity on her side, as well as that all-too-compelling bloodlust.
He had always heard that Unikalona were insane...but he never fully understood that until now.

"Tsk Tsk....what fun is it for me if you're all blinded by your hate for me now?" Rage could give you boundless strength, Raven knew this all too well amongst her brethren. However; it could also make you sloppy and weak if unharnessed....and it seemed this freak didn't know what the hell he was doing as he blindly threw himself into his attacks. Didn't he know you never should rely on strength alone?
Who cared....she would take the utmost delight on showing him, wound after wound why one didn't do such actions.
"Don't hold back dearie....let me taste the hate on my lips!"
She yelled, spreading her wings back in an open invitation to let him attack her. She cringed lightly as his wings clawed at her sides, his fangs sinking and dragging along her neck; yet she wouldn't allow herself to be struck by his hooves as she shifted her legs out of the way of the verocity of his kicks.
Quickly slipping under his attacks, she used her wings to dart to his side as she quickly made his sheer bulk and size to her advantage. Ducking around behind him she quickly latched on her fangs onto one of his hind legs; sinking in and grinding slightly. She attempted to sink her clawtips of her wings onto his sides; but knew it would be a bit difficult thanks to his own large wings in the way.
Between her tightening bite, she managed to speak out,
"You are worthless as a Kalona....you lack any mentality and only seem to have gained their strength and verocity. Hmph. No wonder you and the freak are together....you make even a hybreed like me want to wretch at your poor performance."
Casting a quick glance back to the fallen mare still off to the side; she wondered how she could possibly draw out his full rage. Then he would be nothing more than a big blundering mess and would be much easier to take down. Raven could tell he still had sanity left in him....but that could be easily changed.
"If you are anything like a Kalona....isn't it hard to look at your girlfriend and not be tempted to drink such easily accessable blood....she won't mind; she's unconsious afterall...." Raven smirked, her eyes dancing as blood dribbled from lips from holding onto his leg. Slowly she let her tongue dance across his open flesh; lapping in a seductive hunger.
"I wont tell her...."

He would not give her the satisfaction of hearing him shriek. Even though the pain sent black dots spiraling across his eyes, he clamped his mouth shut, swallowing back his screams as the ligaments tore and shredded. If he had to fight on three legs, so be it. She would not kill Airlia, so long as he had breath in his lungs.
Worthless...
The red haze clouding his vision became a hurricane of rage at the sound of that one word, that singular word that had been drilled into his skull repeatedly by those who bore the marks of the Kalona...if she was attempting to anger him even further, she had indeed succeeded.
Fixing her with a hot glare, he forced himself to remain stationary, not lunge and tear his leg further, fighting his anger for Airlia's sake. If he got himself killed, she would be alone again. All that remained of his sanity was his knowledge of her, and how he had to protect her, to keep her from being alone.
Perhaps, if he could hold out long enough for her to awaken...even if she was gravely injured, surely the Unikalona would not try to fight both of them at once...
But then, then she insinuated that he... violate, because to him, that's what it would be, Airlia in such a manner, that he take the blood from her that she needed so desperately to live... He was repulsed by the thought.
But...that part of him that was not him, that blackness that gripped his very soul, that part of him would participate in such an act. Blood was power, after all...
Shaking free from the Unikalona's grasp, he walked a few paces towards Airlia, dragging his injured leg behind him. Fighting, protesting, declaring this abominable, Cobalt struggled against the darkness inside him as he closed the gap between Airlia and himself.
Covered in her own blood, she lay there, her mane flowing out beside her, beautiful as always, her delicate eyelids closed over her fiery eyes as her chest rose and fell with her shallow breathing.
He could not, would not, take her blood from her. Not when she depended on him, not when she needed him, he refused to violate her like that. An emotion surged through him, that was quite unlike the rage he felt toward the Unikalona, when he gazed at her perfect, porcelain face. Finding the strength to resist, he stuffed the blackness back far enough to regain his senses.
Cobalt lowered his head, still struggling slightly against the darkness, and gingerly laid his nose on her neck. "My...my love." Almost losing her had shown him exactly what she meant to him, and he knew the reason that he wanted to stay with her forever was that his affections for her had developed into something more than mere friendship. "I swear to you...she will not harm you further. Nor will I ever, ever harm you, no matter the circumstances."
Standing, his posture defiant, he turned his gaze back to the Unikalona who dared to harm Airlia, and now himself. Loosing the blackness yet again, because he was not strong enough to fight it for long, and he knew that it gave him strength, he took a defensive posture, becoming a living barrier between Airlia and the wretch that had injured her. "I will never hurt her!" He shouted, a devious smile on his face. "But I have no such qualms about you. If I must have blood, it will be your blood I feast upon, not the blood of one I love."

Ohhhhh, now that was something she was looking for as once her eyes returned to the dark male she was met with a rage filled glare. It seems that he had a few soft spots that she would gladly stab with her merciless words. Was it she was not the first to demean his Kalona roots, she didn't expect she was the first since others of their kind would surely be interested in such monstrosities. Not to mention how stuck up purebreeds could be about their lineage that they'd be completely disgusted at any sort of hybrid.
"What....you actually have to think about wether or not to feed? How pathetic...." She sneered, giving him a little slack as he shook his leg out from her grasp. Watching him tread over to the mare she stood upright, slowly running her tongue along her lips to catch all the delicious droplets of blood off her ebony muzzle.
Do it.....do it....
Oh how it would give her such satisfaction to see him feast on her, lost in his bloodlust to forget all those petty feelings that associated with the sane. She waited, holding her breath momentarily in anticipation....he moved closer to the mare's neck, her own jaws opened slightly as she almost imagined herself once more closing down around her ivory jugular...
Its....hard to breathe... Airlia thought in her subconsious, fighting to regain her consiousness as even in her slumbering state she could feel the copious ammount of pain she was in. Each shaking breath she took felt like barely enough as she was well aware of her slowly dripping blood from her two open wounds.
It was hard to quell the growing panic that she was losing blood too fast, that she would drift into that neverending slumber before she was ready. Before she'd even begun to live this new life.
That was when she felt a warmth brush against her neck as she strained to listen. It was Cobalt, she could tell by the soothing deep vibrations that caressed her neck as he spoke. He sounded strained though....something was wrong; well of course something was wrong...that crazed Unikalona must have still been around! Had he been fighting her?
Yes....she could smell the blood's heavy lingering odor in the air with three specific scents, one her own, one Cobalts and the other must have been from that Unikalona. Cobalt....Cobalt....he was bleeding.
Blood....that primal instinct began to make her heart beat faster as she felt that someone had turned up the temperature. It was hot, so hot as his yell rang through her ears. Slowly her eyes cracked open as her once nearly inaudiable breathing became harsh gurgled wheezes; her eyes no longer holding her ruby iris yet instead was nothing but voidless orbs of black. Airlia's body began to stirr, her legs dragging along the ground to find leverage to stand....she did not speak; her own consious falling back into the depths of her soul as something more sinister began to emerge, a trait bred down through the generations.
No...NO! Immediately she felt her own anger bubble and boil in her soul, that pathetic little wretch! He was so close, she was so close!
"You'll wish you had you freak...." Raven hissed out, charging at the stallion full force as she attempted to use her wings to wrap around his neck to immobilize him while her jaws lunged out towards one of his wings; hoping....no....praying for a hit to once more quench her impending bloodlust. She couldn't lose it now, she would not fall into a greater more deadly insanity than she already had.
From the corner of her eye she could see the mare was beginning to stirr; and immediately knew she'd have to make this quick. One on one was fine for the Unikalona, but if she had to take on both this navy stallion and the freak white mare.....well.....Raven wasn't an idiot and could easily see her chances fade.

A wry grin spread across Cobalt's face as he watched the Unikalona's anger start to simmer. Though he may be halfway lost in bloodlust and madness, and couldn't control it well at all, he knew he could stay at least partially sane...for Airlia's sake and for his own. To give in to the madness would make him as bad as the Unikalona he faced...a killer, without purpose, killing simply for the love of killing.
His heart thudding in his ears, he was unable to hear Airlia stirring. So, when the Unikalona attacked, he believed he would, once again, face her alone. Choking as her wings wrapped around his neck like a vice, he felt the sharp impact of teeth against his wings, feeling them slide between his bones.
If only she hadn't grabbed him around the neck. He would have been able to twist away from her, been able to shake her loose. But those wings, pulling impossibly tight against his throat, bound him to her, kept him from escaping.
Unable to break her grip, struggling to be free, he knew that she had him exactly where she wanted him. She could, and would, kill him, and then move on to do the same to Airlia.
He didn't want to die.
Not like this, not when everything had been going so wonderfully. Helpless in her grasp, he wondered how long it would take for her to bleed him dry. He realized that he was losing the will to fight, and as it diminished, the blackness surrounding his heart faded as well.
At the very least, he would probably quench the Unikalona's appetite. Maybe she wouldn't go after Airlia when she finished with him. Maybe she, at least, would be able to escape.

Slowly the mare arose, at the same time both aware and unaware of the scuffle taking place just a few feet from her. Her legs shook lightly for a moment as the blood loss began to sink in and she tried to compensate for her body's weakness with her mental strengh. Hell, it took all she had just to keep breathing, her voice sounding sickenly ragged from the deep bite along her slender ivory neck. A sudden sound caught her attention though as her ears perked, twisting around to stare at the scene with her ebony orbs.
It was at that moment that something broke inside the mare.
Hearing the sounds of Cobalt's choked breathing as Raven's wings were wrapped tightly around his neck, Airlia could feel her own blackness began to twist and churn deep inside. Taking a sharp inhale of breath as fresh waftings of blood drifted to her nostrils as the unikalona had also latched onto one of his wings, his beautiful wings and tore away at his flesh....no. She would regret ever laying even the lightest of touch on him.
As the tears pooled in her pure black eyes and streamed down her cheeks, a most devilish of smiles slowly curled onto the maw of the mare; her messy hair cascading around her face. Opening her jaws slightly, her two fangs began extend slightly....oh how she hungered....blood; sweet, sweet blood...
Without a moment's notice she turned and charged, extending her tail out and thrusting her spikes into the side of the Unikalona; listening to the pained scream that rushed out of her lips at the impact. It felt euphorically good to feel the warmth around each spike, the blood which trailed down to her tail base before dripping off onto the ground. Giving a testing tug before tearing her tail back with force, Raven was forced to quickly let go of her grip on Cobalt's wing and neck unless she wanted the spikes to saw through her skin. Airlia flicked her tail back hard, sending the mare tumbling in a bloody heap on the around as she took it upon herself to this time stand before Cobalt.
She did not look at him though, her eyes fixated on Raven as that grin returned; one almost identical to the one the other mare had worn earlier but this one held so much more for those able to see past it. A cursed madness passed down a most twisted of mothers, an unbridled demonic legacy bred down from her father. Whilst her brother was dangerous for being emotionless....perhaps having a surge of emotions was just as; if not more dangerous.
The hairs along her back bristled, as she bared her fangs once more with a sickening hiss; her raspy and crackling voice sounding almost inhuman compared to the smooth, relatively airy vocals she had before.
"Die...." She breathed before flying forth, nearly leaping ontop of the fallen mare as she attempted to stomp, bite and stab with her horn. She was relentless with her attacks, even as Raven landed a few of her own while screaming profanities and in pain.
"You're f*ckin' Insane! GET AWAY FROM ME!" Raven cried, even as her horn sunk into Airlia's shoulder the ivory mare did not stop; in turn it made her frenzy even harder with horrid dark hisses and a merciless rabid stare.
....it was odd though that the whole while she couldn't stop the tears from streaming down her face.

Cobalt sank to his knees the moment the Unikalona released him. Gasping for breath, he gingerly folded his injured wing along his back, shuddering as the hot blood ran down his side. Blood...that's what caused all this pain, all this suffering. The desire, the lust for that beautiful crimson liquid. Damn blood...
Cobalt recovered slowly, each breath feeling like heaven to his asphyxiated lungs. When his brain could function again, when he was finally able to notice something other than how oxygen parched his body was, he heard the Unikalona's cry, and turned his head to see his Airlia, mercilessly attacking the Unikalona. Fighting...for him? But she was in no state to be exerting herself like this! She could...she could die from blood loss! Panic ripped through Cobalt, with it an adrenaline rush that allowed him to stand to his feet. Although the smell of blood was still fresh in the air, the blackness inside Cobalt did not threaten to resurface, although he could not deny that he found the scent of blood rather alluring, even when he was perfectly sane. And he rather disliked it.
Cobalt walked a few paces towards the pair of battling mares, his leg still dragging uselessly behind him, before he realized that he could not, by any means, stop the two from fighting. He wasn't even sure he wanted to, as it appeared that Airlia was winning. Still...she was in no shape to be working herself so hard. He could see the blood trailing down her ivory pelt, the very blood she needed to live.
But what could he do?
She was obviously in the grip of her own demons. Those demons wouldn't stop until they had what they wanted, and it was clear that they wanted the Unikalona's blood, if not her very death. Cobalt worried that she would surrender her life in return for killing the Unikalona.
"Airlia." Half-whispered, his voice strangled from his pain, he looked over at his dear, dear friend. "It's not worth it if you lose your life in the process." Frowning at the sound of his own voice, he coughed, trying to clear his throat. "She's not worth it..." There. That sounded much better. "Besides...she wouldn't dare attack us now that we're together..."
Without knowing whether or not she would even listen to his soft-spoken plea, and unable to raise his voice any louder, he could only hope that she would stop, regain reason, and come with him. He would find her something else to replenish her blood supply, even if he had to hunt it himself.

Fight....Fight....fight...
Its all that registered in Airlia's mind, feverishly lusting for blood as it littered the area to send it all in a near overwhelming stench. It became harder and harder to distinguish the difference between the owners of each, but it didn't matter much anymore. She needed blood; and for the time being she was content in sacrificing this mare if it kept her demons away from Cobalt.
The cries of the Unikalona mare excited her inner darkness, able to feel it claw at the surface of her sanity to push her further into the depths of her soul. Her body ran on nothing but adrenaline now, as even her wounds began to bleed less and less; soon nothing more than a few trickles stained her pelt.
Stopping in her feriocious attack as his words caressed against her ears, she had to fight with herself to keep motionless...the darkness was so, so hungry. Lose...her life? It was in a moment of realization that her body began to let on the pain and weakness...she was far past the normal limits she gave herself when blood was low; even her cursed wound had stopped bleeding. Staring down at Raven, it almost made her retch when she was the damage she had done; the sheer look of terror in her eyes as if she was looking upon some sick and hideous monster.
What had she done?
Slowly stepping off and away from the Unikalona, Raven wasted no time in throwing back a few insulting profanities before immediately dragging her limping body out of the clearing. Once far enough she used her wings to fly off to safe haven to heal.
Once the danger had passed and her demons resided back into the depths of her very being, Airlia began to shake heavily in her legs; trying her best to keep standing as she all but heaved each breath entering her lungs. Slowly turning to look back to Cobalt, she attempted to draw a faint smile on her lips; somewhat lost behind her long messy locks that fell across her face. "It's....not worth it." She croaked out, wings falling limp at her sides as she conserved most of her energy to walk over to him slowly. "Your leg...." She breathed, it looked quite nasty and painful...but she'd fix that...she had to; if she hadn't gone off on her own this eve, if she hadn't been strong enough to defeat Raven on her own...
"It...won't be much; but it'll heal the internal damage..." Nearing his hind leg, she dropped her head and placed her horn on the open wound as a soft red glow took over; healing the severed ligaments and muscles caused by the unikalona's bite. If she had been stronger she might have been able to heal it fully even if her unicorn abilities were trivial at the best and usually limited to one wound or a few scratches; but at least the wound had healed till it was nothing more than a surface scratch.
As her small ruby pupils returned to her ebony eyes, the mare took it upon herself to rest her head lightly on his shoulder; trying to get her legs to stop shaking to no avail. "I'm....unable to help your wing.....sorry...." Airlia breathed, she was just so, so tired; it was hard not to just lay down and sleep...yet alas she knew it would not be a normal sleep. "Are...you okay?"

Cobalt didn't blame the Unikalona for running. It was the best thing she could have done for herself, because if she had attacked Airlia again, he may have been inclined to kill her himself. He stood still, watching
"Oh, Airlia..." he murmured, gently nuzzling her cheek. "Thank you...don't worry about my wing, it'll heal on it's own. I'm fine. I'm...better than you are." His eyebrows knit together in concern, as he had not failed to notice that her wounds had stopped bleeding. "Tell me what to do, to save you."
He would hunt for her, if she wanted him to. She looked far too weak to do it herself...she was shaking so hard, his body shook too, a little. He had done it once before. It had been before the bloodlust, before he had been so strongly affected by the red, sticky liquid of life. He had felt guilty for weeks, afterward, his mind haunted by the blood he had shed. But, for her, to save her life...he would do anything, everything he could.
He had never been so worried about anyone before. And she looked so weak...What if he couldn't help? What if he couldn't catch something for her? What if...what if he came back too late?

Closing her eyes gently as she felt the warmth of his nuzzle against her cheek, a soft sigh escaped her lips; greatful for the slightly chilled night air to help keep her awake. Opening them once more she was met with a concerned look of the navy stallion before her; casting her own gaze down immediately.
For once, Airlia didn't know what to do.
It would take a pretty large kill to fill her body's current need, and as memories of the last hunt still fresh in her mind...of him collapsing like that; well, she couldn't ask that of him. Cobalt wasn't a killer by nature, even the tainted blood in him still gave way to the strength of his consious; that light in him she was sure could never die. It was what kept her so fascinated with him, his strength was simply amazing in her eyes; not that one could tell though.
"Cobalt....I could not ask such of you. Not after what happened..." She wouldn't be the cause of his pain and injuries if he failed in the hunt, not even she could take it at such a present state.
"If...I rest enough, maybe i'll be okay to hunt soon..." Its all she could think of at the moment, to hope for the best. None the less; Airlia's knees buckled as she dropped to the ground to lay...she needed to do all she could to conserve the energy she had left afterall.
Laying her head on her legs, she looked up to him, wondering what was going through his mind. Would he really want to take such a personal risk for the likes of her? Or would he give into her and simply stay at her side?
