Enchanted Arms
Released: August 29, 2006
Story:
"Atsuma, Makoto, and Toya are students at the Enchanter's University in Yokohama City." There they learn how to enchant and about the Golem war that took place 1000 years ago.
At the beginning of the game Atsuma convinces them to skip class for the day and go to a local festival held outside the university. Toya agrees with Makoto following behind. While at the festival a huge earthquake occurs and damages the place badly. About to head back to the university they notice that the golems (typically peaceful) suddenly are violent and attacking people. After aiding a few people first it suddenly snows and the berserk golems head toward the university while people start to faint and lose energy.
After rushing back to the university they notice a sealed ward is open and head in after Atsuma's dog (with Atsuma's request). After making it deep inside they discover a sealed golem, the Queen of Ice, but to Atsuma's demise she awakens (because of his arm). While trying to fight her they end up becoming exhausted b/c she keeps regenerating herself. In her final move she stabs Toya and hit makoto with a huge ice boulder. Atsuma outraged follows a mysterious voice coming from his arm and attacks her managing to hurt her greatly. However she manages to leave and takes Toya (injured but alive) with her. Atsuma passes out and wakes in the london cells.
While in the cells he meets Karin and learns that Yokohama is destroyed and there is no survivors. Horrified he later escapes with her and her bodyguard Raigar. Making a compromise to help her if she first allows him to go to Yokohama and see for himself what has happened to his home and friends. While at the same time...learning what really he holds in his arm. ((All her knew is that his arm somehow has the ability to nulify enchants)
Game Play:
A RPG based game for the x-box 360. You're the main character named Atsuma with a strong enchanted arm and fire enchants. As the game progress you can gain golems throughout the land which you can add to your party. Plus extra main characters with atsuma later. There are a few places (major cities) where you can visit and chat with NPC characters. The graphics are really good and not bad there is a lot of CG movie clips at important parts. The game is rather fast paced and keeps the story going.
The characters are also all voiced. Only at some times were the voices not there but there are always texts on the bottom. You always see a pic of the character on the screen to show the person is speaking. Even normal NPC got this at times. I'll have to have a screenshot to explain below maybe.
Battle System:
Battles are automatic when you run around on a world map or dangerous place. When you fight you can have up to 4 characters on the battle map. You can carry quite a few golems and don't have to have main characters in your party. Atsuma must always be in your party though.
The unique thing about Enchanted arms battle system would be there VP idea. Each golem and character has VP (vitality points). Atsuma for example has 100 which golems and others vary. When you get hurt in battle VP decreases a bit. After each battle your character is fully recovered! However when VP reaches 0 and you don't refill it, your character will always start a battle with 1 HP instead of max no matter if you heal them during the battle. (There are VP recharagers around the land. They completely heal VP for no cost at all.)
Characters:
Atsuma : Atsuma is a student at Enchant University in Yokohama City. Atsuma tends to act first and think later, if at all. His best friend Toya considers him hot-blooded. He also has heterochromia (one eye being violet while the other is green). Atsuma is actually an oddity at the Enchant University, as he cannot enchant as most other students can, but instead is able to draw ether and enchantment power from others through his right arm, which worries many of the students at the school.
Karin: Karin is from London City. She's an expert in a London-style martial art that relies primarily on various kicks, and she is sufficiently skilled to qualify as an assistant instructor. She is thus justifiably proud of her legs. However, Karin's boundless energy runs to excess at times, and she can be stubborn and sharp-tongued.
Raigar:A giant of a man who wields swords with amazing skill, Raigar accompanies Karin everywhere. He watches over her out of a sense of obligation to her father, to whom Raigar became indebted long ago. Currently, he fights by Karin's side as a member of the resistance movement in London City.
Yuki:A girl who makes a living hunting Golems with her two guns. Yuki values money above everything else and wanders around trying to find legendary devil golems with expensive bounties. She is a bit naive and often tries to act like an adult. She is always full of energy but frequently is not taken seriously by people around her. She will fearlessly challenge opponents bigger than she is, but still has a kind heart for smaller creatures. Yuki takes great pride in being a hunter and does not let a target escape, no matter what. She claims to be the greatest Golem Hunter in the World, though no one else seems to agree.

The game is fine. I can't really say much i really don't like on it. The story was entertaining and rather fast. I'm flying through this game. It's the storyline that's a little simple but fun anyways and with nice Cut scenes which look awesome. Atsuma is funny and that's what I also like about the game. It carrys a bit of humor. The fighting system was fun and different so I liked their creativity there. I liked how you can choose what language you want to hear them in (I kept english though...the girl's were annoying at times (Yuki is terrible!!) but I got used to it (not yuki's though). However in japanese....it was like the guys weren't so good but the girls sounded better a bit)
Music was OK. Rather annoying sometimes though. it seemed like they made a small 30 second song and placed it on repeat sometimes. Honestly, annoying. But otherwise...just OK.
EDIT: I re-rated it. When it comes down to it; it was a fun game in the start but only toward the end do you realize...wow this story is just so..repetative. It was simply...kill the golems or the golem was will start. Yes everything I rated above is still true. But its story isn't amazing. Also did anyone realize that the the three guys that you start with...really weren't introduced enough. So poor character depth there. The fighting IS unique but it gets tiring when you crash so much in the game.
Interesting Facts -
Atsuma looks like Nero from Devil May Cry 4.
*They both have a right demon arm.
*They both can use a grappling hook in game quite simular. (neros arm..atsumas rope thing)
*They both have silver hair.
*They both have color themes the same when it comes to clothes just slightly.
