Calum stared at his reflection soaking up his oddly tamed looking appearance. His normally unruly hair had been combed and for once his clothes were free of wrinkles. Not only that, they fit too! And for him, that just didn't feel right. "I think the clothes are to small."

Ryo looked at his friend from the corner of his eyes, not bothering to get up from his lounging position on Calum's bed. "They only seem small to you because you're used to wearing fat people clothes."

Calum glowered at Ryo's reflection, only to have his friend grin in response, then shrug and wave. Sighing, he turned his gaze back to his own reflection. His blue eyes once again roamed over the new dress shirt that had been bought for the occasion, not wanting to feel under dressed like he did last time.

The shirt was a dark blue, like the one he wore last time. But this one was not made of silk, and had spiraling black patterns twining around the buttons on the front of his shirt, and around the wrist cuffs. He knew that what Ryo said was true, that the clothes weren't to small for him. But damn, they just felt to constricting.

Finally stepping away from the mirror on his dresser, he picked up a simple black gift box and stuck it into the basket that held the food.

"Giving him a present?"

Calum shrugged as he folded up a blanket and set it between the straps on the basket. "Yeah, my collection of Grimm Fairytales."

Ryo raised a brow, "Your first book?"

"Yeah," Calum paused then frowned, "Bad gift?"

"No, I'm sure he'll love it," said Ryo as he sent his friend a reassuring smile.

Calum's hand twitched as he contemplated removing the book. It didn't really seem like that good of a gift now that he thought about it...

Shaking his head and lifted up the basket of food. If he changed his mind, he could just not take the gift out of the basket. With good bye to Ryo, he slipped out of the shed that served as his room and headed to where he was supposed to meet Syd at the beach.

Syd sighed, a little embarassed as he flicked a peice of hair from his face. He stared down at his guitar, a little frustrated. He too had a gift, though, he wondered if it was good, or if it was just plain corney. He decided to put his guitar away in it's case, for now, and stare down at the paper he'd scrawled, in his opinion, crappy lyrics all over. He'd never done good in creative writing as a teenager. He shruged, setting it on top of the guitar and closing the lid, and he just sat there, staring at the horizon as he lit a cigarette and took a long drag.
Earlier in the day, he'd hauled a bunch of wood down to the beach, he wasn't sure how big Calum would want the fire, so, he just went with his own preference; a huge, dangerous, tribal like thing, and he hauled as much wood as he could manage. He then took a shower, did his hair nicely, again, and got moderatly dressed up. He was wearing a short sleeved, white dress shirt, with a black tie, and some nice skinny jeans. He looked like a punk business man, really, though he didn't mind.
He stared down at the blanket he'd brought down, playing with it before just staring and listening to the sea.

Calum was off in his own little world, not really thinking of anything in particular. Every now and then his free hand would twitch to vent that low stream of energy that was starting to build up in him, a sign that the thing inside him knows that full moon is approaching. Though it wasn't for another six days.

But when around Syd, it no longer bothered him. In fact, the thing inside him almost seems tame when Syd is around. He hadn't figured out why yet...

The feeling of soft and cool sand shifting beneath his feet and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore drew him out of his thoughts. He looked up and spotted Syd, his lips forming a smile as he picked up his pace. "Hi."

Syd flicked an ear, before looking. He smiled as he saw Calum's form and he snuffed out his cigarette and stood, grinning, his tail swishing happily behind him.
Calum had a similar effect on Syd, though he didn't have some beast living inside him, not literally, anyways. Syd felt less paranoid, frankly, like he wasn't trapped in the cage that was his mind all day. Calum gave him that shoulder he could lean on, or cry on, if it was needed. He didn't feel judged, either, which was something he'd felt all of his life.
He gazed over Calum. "Hullo, love." He muttered, flopping back down on the blanket and patting the space neck to him, "Come, sit."

After setting the basked down beside the blanket, Calum sat down next to Syd on the blanket. His blond tail flopping to over lap Syd's black one. The sand shifted beneath him as he got comfortable, then relaxed against the black haired male. "How long have you been here?"

He briefly wondered if Syd had simply been early to both the dates, or if he had been late both times. Wouldn't surprise him if he was late, he never had been one for being on time. Choosing not to dwell on it, he let his gaze wander over his lovers body while waiting for an answer.

He shrugged, "Not that long. I came early, I wanted to work on...something." He smirked, glancing over to his guitar before kissing Calum gently on the cheek , "So don't worry that you're late, we never set an exact time, anyways..." He shrugged, seeming more nervous this time, glancing every once and a while at the guitar case, hoping he wouldn't mess up. "Uhm, how are you?"

"I'm good," said Calum, reaching up to fiddle with Syd's tie. Sliding it between his fingers and wrapping it around them. Not noticing that Syd kept glancing at his guitar case, he asked, "How about you?"

He sighed, "Thats good..." He said, watching Calum's hand wrap around his tie. He looked to the sky when he was asked about his mood, he shrugged, wrapping his tail around Calum, "I'm good."

When he felt something wrap around him, he released Syd's tie and turned his attention to the tail. He glided his hand over it, loving the feeling of the fur against the palm of his hand. While continuing to pet Syd's tail, he took the time to look around. Taking in the dark color of the water, flashes of gold and orange glinting on the waves as it reflected the sky. Soon his gaze moved on to roam over the beach, then back to the blanket. Settling on Syd's guitar case. "You brought your guitar?"

He sighed, relaxing as his tail was pet. He nuzzled Calum and sighed, looking over to the guitar. "Yeah..." He muttered, blushing, curling his tail around Calum's tail more, considering whether to tell his love what it was for. A hand slid up and he rested his arm around Calum's waist, pulling him closer, "Yeah, I brought it because I think you need music for what I want you to do." He smirked, looking at Calum teasingly, "I want you to shake it. Like a polaroid picture. You will lend me some sugar, baby, I am your neighbour."

Confusion filled his mind as he tried to process what it was Syd said."Wha?"
PostPosted: Tue Sep 09, 2008 9:17 pm

Syd smirked, "No, really, I've got a present..." He muttered, blushing and nuzzling Calum, kissing his jawline softly, "But it has to wait...unless, you want it now..."

"A present? The secret?" His ears perked up, he had forgotten about the secret. Gears began to turn in his head again as he tried to figure out what it might be. But the gears came to a halt again when Syd said that it would have to wait. He wanted to know what it was, but could wait. Mentally he chastised himself for almost letting his impatience get the better of him. "I can wait...for a bit at least."

He softly kissed Syd before pulling back. "We should probably eat anyways, before it gets cold."

He nodded, "One of them." His hand trailed up, his fingers curling around Calum's hair as he thought to himself, biting the inside of his lip, and blushing a little more, "But...the second one, is much more important than the first." He happily returned the kiss and nodded, "I forgot about the food."

Noting the blush, and wondering why it was there, he reached up and skimmed a finger over Syd's cheek. When it reached the corner of Syd's lips, he let his hand drop and reached over for the basket. "I forgot if we settled on who would bring the blanket, so I guess we have a spare."

He removed the blanket from over the basket and tossed it to the side. He opened the basket and said, "Now I have no idea what's in here food wise, he wouldn't let me watch him cook."

The type of smells you often pick up when walking past a Chinese restaurant wafted out of the basket. He shoved the black gift box that rested on top of the food containers to the back of the basket then carefully pulled out the four containers of food one at a time.
