This was not the first time Hadaya had been perplexed. Over the years, he imagined, the most common state of mind he had experienced was confusion. Never quite sure of anything, he was easily mixed up and very often wandered around in a jumbled haze. The world was a strange place, and he was, at least, well aware of that fact.
But this was almost too much.
He had never experienced anything like it before. Though he was young, he was still old enough to know the difference between reality and his own imagination. Sure, he had day dreamed before. A few times he had stumbled out of a dream thinking he had actually been there, but the memory had always faded. He had always known, after a few moments, that it had been a dream. That was one thing he had never questioned before, so it seemed insane to him that he was no longer certain of the boundary between fantasy and reality.
The vision he had been assaulted with had been so real, so vivid, he was certain it was real. He could feel it, smell it, hear it: it lingered in his mind with the same tangibility as his own memories. But it had not been his. It was in a land he had never been to, surrounded by faces and voices he did not know. He could not make out their words or expressions, but he knew they had been talking to him as if he were someone else. It might have been a glimpse into a different life, or a life in the future, or perhaps in the past.
He had no idea.
Sitting under a withered tree, his eyes trained on the ground, Hadaya was completely lost to his thoughts on the subject, becoming increasingly oblivious to the world around him the longer he mused.

Once again, little Takatifu'moya had wandered away from her papa, only this time was to think. In a recent run-in with another lion, she had seen something, something she couldn't possibly know. And it was all because she had touched the other lion. Why did that happen? She never had that with her abu-Nafasi, and they touched all the time. Since then she hadn't met any other creatures in their traveling, and she was glad for that. She wasn't sure she wanted to see things like that anymore. It wasn't like it was scary or anything, but just the fact that it happened was a little frightening.
Lost in her thoughts, she walked closer and closer to the tree where another young cub was pondering a very similar subject. Only she didn't see him at all and there was little doubt that he would be able to see her distinct brown form meandering along, her head hung a bit as she thought deeply. Maybe she really was goddess-blessed.

Hadaya glanced up in time to spot a brown spot moving toward him. Instinctively defensive, he leaped into the withered tree to hide. Unfortunately, it offered no cover for him, and he was ever more obvious up in the air then he had been in the grass that was shaded similarly to his fur.
The tree was also too old to support his weight, and the branch he was balancing precariously on broke under him. He fell a short hight, slamming into the ground with a yelp, his body flopping down after a moment of being suspended in the air. He opened his eyes and spotted the brown lion not a foot away from him, noting that it was a cub.
And that he was an idiot.
"Hello there," he said through a tight muzzle, unable to speak very well with his jaw pressed against the dry earth. He arched an eyebrow, noting her pensive expression, "are you okay?"

Tifu jumped back with a squeak when a slightly older cub fell out of a tree, not five paces from her. Her violet eyes were wide for a moment before calming down, her fur falling down from the bristle it had popped into. "Oh, uh... Yeah, I guess," she said, forcing a bit of a smile for him. She wondered if he'd ask just what it was that she had been thinking so hard on.
She sat down and curled her tail around her paws. "My name's Tifu. What's yours?"

Hadaya pushed himself into a sitting position, shaking himself and letting a cloud of dust off of his yellow fur. Coughing, closing one eye, he heaved a sigh, which just unsettled the dust further, and looked at the cub.
"I'm Hadaya," he said, rolling his thin shoulders back. He wasn't in too much pain, which meant he had done himself no harm in the fall. His body must be getting used to all the tumbles he took, "it's nice to meet you, Tifu! Sorry if I scared you at all."
Shaking his head, he flicked his tail against the ground and tried to think up something interesting to say, "I think I saw you looking pretty pensive back there. And you look kind of distracted right now, too. Do you... uh... have something on your mind?"

Tifu bowed her head when Hadaya introduced himself, but then he asked if she had things on her mind. She couldn't help but nod. "I... saw something a few days ago, and the lion that was with me said I might be a seer. I donno if that's good or bad and I'm kinda scared over it. I don't think I wanna see everything," she sighed, shaking her head. She wasn't even sure this older male would even believe her. She, herself, had never heard of seers before Aberforth had told her about them, though she had KNOWN them.

"A Seer?" Hadaya said, looking a bit stunned. Sinasina had told him it was a rare gift, and yet here he was, randomly meeting a cub that seemed to have the same problem as he did. He offered a smile, tilting his head awkwardly as he tried to appear calm and understanding. Instead, he looked like he was ready to run.
"I know just what you mean," he said, a bit too quickly. His words fell over each other, "I can see things, too. I never know what they mean or what to do with them. So far, they're just little, distracted visions that are completely useless to me. Or maybe I'm completely useless to them."
He frowned, "my friend told me it was a gift from the gods, but I don't feel too special, considering they didn't tell me how to use it, you know?" Or maybe she was more adept at it than he was.

The look that grew on the young female's face made her look like she very much wanted to pounce him. "You are??" Tifu exclaimed, the smile on her face lighting up her violet eyes. To meet another seer, to know truly that she wasn't the only one. It felt wonderful. Sure, it would have been better if he had some idea on how to use them, but just the fact that he had "powers" like hers made her feel much better. Beggars couldn't be choosers after all. "That's wonderful! I mean, the you being a seer, too, not the not knowing how to use the gift part," she added, tilting her head a bit with her smile. "Someone else told me they might be gifts from the gods, too. Your's are random? The only time I've seen something was when I touched another lion. He was the one that told me I might be a seer."

"Oh, wow, that must be nice. I mean, at least you can control when you get them, mostly. Unless you accidentally touch someone. Mine usually only come when I'm running or moving. They always hit me, blind me for a moment, and then make me smash into a wall or fall of a cliff or trip on something. Or someone. It's not really... that great."
He sighed, shaking his head.
"And the images I get are weird. Most of the time, I don't even know any one that's in them, much less who they're meant for. They're not usually my memories or future, anyway. So I'm just going to know all this stuff that's going to happen to other lions, for no reason."
Shaking his head, he wondered why he had to be inept as a Seer, on top of everything else.
"Do you know if it's when you touch any other lion, or just... I guess... specific ones?"

Tifu sat down and shrugged. "I guess you could say specific ones. I never got 'em when I was living with my mama, and I'm always touching my abu-Nafasi, but I don't See anything then either. So far it's just been Aber. And it wasn't even important, either, just him and his bird walking around," she explained. They really had a lot in common when it came to their visions. Hers were blinding too, and didn't have to do with her and really didn't have any significance, so far. They might in the future, but at the moment it was just a one-time thing. She could try on him, but she wasn't sure she really wanted to, not this soon after her first try.

Hadaya frowned, nodding as he listened. He was interesting in seeing if they could figure out more about their powers together, and had the idea of her trying it on him without realizing she was thinking the same thing, and hesitating.
"That's weird. Was 'Aber' family? Maybe it doesn't work on family. I don't know. You could try with me though, if you want. I doubt I have much of a future, anyway, but if you wanted to see if your powers work whenever, I don't mind."
He knew he would have to be running to get his going. He had managed to have a vision while in the company of the lion that was in it, but it had only happened the one time, in the company of a cub he had been parting company with at the time.

Tifu looked a little uncertain for a moment before slowly reaching out a paw to place on his. When paw-pads touched fur, there was a flash of light in her vision, just like before and her violet eyes clouded. But unlike when she saw the vision of Aber and his bonded, and how the sight seemed to last for a few minutes, this was gone almost as soon as it came, not really letting her focus on it or take it in. "I... I donno what I saw. It was too quick," she mumbled as she took her paw away. She frowned down at it and then decided to try again. Only this time, when she touched his paw, nothing happened at all.
"I guess it's a one time thing, huh?" she asked, finally looking back up at the older male.

Hadaya tilted his head as she touched his paw, waiting patiently. Frowning her nodded slowly.
"I guess so. It was probably just me running face first into a tree. I do that a lot. But at least you got a vision of something, right? Because that means it could be anyone you touch, right?"
He couldn't help but wonder why even visions other Seers had of him seemed to fail just as royally as he did. Sighing privately, taking a small moment to be depressed, he did his best to shake off the thought and focus on the present.
"That could be helpful."

Tifu hummed a bit and nodded her head. "Yeah, I guess. Though, it could still be random. Like I touch you and see something and then I meet someone else later and see nothing. Or maybe I'm supposed to see them... Like... I donno," she replied. She had no idea that that was actually true. She'd know later in her life, when she could reflect upon her visions, that everything she saw had a purpose. How seeing Aberforth and his bonded would spark the interest in the pride she and her father might very well join. Or how seeing the brief vision of Hadaya, one of his hazy future, would help her to better understand her powers and grow in interest.
But, for now, all she could do is wonder. "I don't think you were running into something. I can kinda... I get the feeling it wasn't that," she added with a shrug. Then a smile grew on her face. "Maybe you should watch out for trees before you start running?" she asked with a small giggle.

"I do watch out for trees," he huffed, "more than I used to, now, but they always show up when I don't need them. It's tough, avoiding them, I guess. For me. Everything's tough for me."
He laughed ruefully, shaking his head, "Maybe in the future I'll be able to avoid them, huh? That'd be something nice to know. To look forward to. Hey, but thanks for trying it on me, anyway. Even if you couldn't really see any thing. At least I have a future! And I think the more I talk to others like me, like us, it'll help figure these powers out."
"No doubt you'll get a hang of it faster than I do. You seem to be on the right track, right?" He smiled, looking around. "I don't know where you're going, but do you need me to walk with you anywhere? Or want."
