Silverdameous wandered aimlessly by himself, not quite sure what the hell he was supposed to be doing. He had wandered away from Yohji's house, and had now lost all track of where home was. He remembered that Yohji took him in, and that Yohji was the best friend in the whole wide world, not minding that his English was absolutely appalling. However, others seemed to frown at him whenever he babbled slurred words. They said he was speaking 'garbled gibberish,' whatever that was. He just didn't understand, and they didn't understand Spanish. So far, he was not having very much luck. However, by listening to people out on the streets where he was wandering, he had picked up a few words and slowly began to learn the language a bit better. At least good enough to communicate with someone else with minimal errors. However, he still felt like a failure for getting lost. Somehow, he magically wished Yohji would show up and lead him back home so that he could lay down in the soft bed, curl up next to his friend, and sleep soundlessly. The fox had a distinct feeling that this was not what was going to happen. It was just that little instinct he had, telling him that things weren't going to go the way he wished, but they weren't going to go horribly, either. With that feeling filling inside of him, he sat down in the middle of the sidewalk, and stared out into the street with a small pouty frown upon his lips.

((Sorry it's taken so long ~ D; I haven't been on the computer... x___x; <3 ))

Kaleb glanced around as he walked. He'd just recently found his own place to live, having not wanted to live with his parents anymore and feed off of his mothers money source, he'd moved into a nice apartment close enough to town to walk even though he did, in fact, have motor transportation.

It appeared to be a nice day at the moment, but one never knew when it might go foul, so he'd decided to go for a little stroll. Already been through the park, he wandered his way down a sidewalk, not noticing the other anthro planted in the middle of it until he about stumbled upon him, making him come to an abrupt halt.

Ears perking he glanced down and blinked, then looked around... Good thing it wasn't very busy out. Looking back at the other again he didn't ask anything, just... sort of gave him an odd look. Maybe... he should just scoot around and continue on, but then he spoke up, "Excuse me..."

(( No worries at all, dear. x3 I was working on profiles. >>; ))

Silver had been so preoccupied with his little pity-party that he hardly even noticed when the other male nearly stepped on top of him; not that he would have been able to blame him anyway, seeing as he was sitting in the middle of the street. Still, at this precise moment, the fox wasn't sure if he wanted to acknowledge the stranger who was speaking. He was, admittedly, lost and scared. He felt isolated and alone, surrounded in a word so unknown to him that he hadn't the faintest idea of where to start.

Still, he continued his wishful hoping that Yohji would randomly stumble upon him, scoop him up, and take him back home. Yohji was his closest friend - his only friend - and he knew well enough that he could trust the coon. This one that spoke, though, did not sound like Yohji or smell like Yohji, so he was decidedly not Yohji.

The fox's ears drooped as he lifted his head, pale silver hair falling over his eyes, but not enough to completely cover the large gray orbs or the tears falling from them. Silver shuddered lightly, unsure of this stranger and not the least bit happy with the fact that he was crying. He never cried, unless he was absolutely piss scared - in which case he was. "Yes...?" he inquired quietly, choking slightly on his words due to the tears. No doubt the hiccups would start soon from crying. Now, just hopefully his Spanish accent wasn't so strong that this hybrid male couldn't understand him. He had been working on his English, and had gotten it down fairly well.

Kaleb was about to walk off since the other didn't seem to be interested in him or his words, which he had little problem with considering the other was a complete stranger. His tail waved as he glanced back at the other as the other finally moved to acknowledge his presence, shocked at what he saw.

What the...? He frowned lightly, seeing the other in complete tears. Did he do this?! He looked around curiously, still shocked. He wasn't that scary was he? He'd only said 'excuse me' because the other was sitting in the middle of the sidewalk. Blinking as he heard a tinge of some sort of accent, he finally looked back at the fox, utterly baffled.

For some reason, Kaleb couldn't help but feel bad for the other even without knowing what had caused the others distress. Clearing his throat he finally spoke, "I didn't mean-- You're in the middle..." He stopped trying to figure out what to say so as not to stress the fox anymore. Looking around again, he crouched to be closer to the others level; he couldn't leave now.

"Is... there something I could help with?"

The gray fox sniffled quietly, his body now trembling as another effect from crying so helplessly. Scared, alone, and now confused. What had the hybrid been about to say? Something about 'I didn't mean you're in the middle'? What did that mean...? He brought his knees close to his chest, desperately grasping at his ears with his hands, pressing them against his head - though not to the point where he wouldn't be able to hear the stranger.

Just simply an act out of desperation mixed with a little frustration. How culd he have gotten lost? More importantly; how was he going to get back home? That's all he wanted. To be back home. To curl up in the bed and be comforted by his friend. But that wasn't going to be happening any time soon, was it? Unless Yohji started to worry and came looking for him, but even then, what chance would the coon actually have of finding him?

Silver had a decent sense of direction, and if he had wandered far enough away to get lost... then finding him would be even harder, wouldn't it? None of that mattered right now; it seemed like this stranger was going to help him. At least he hoped so. A little help would be nice. Just to get back home. But... he didn't know the address, and what if this stranger didn't know Yohji?

Then he was back to where he started, right...? "I-I'm lost.." the fox choked out, chest rising and falling sharply against the tears as he tried to properly form words. The accent wasn't helping things much. At least it wasn't so thick that it twisted the words into incoherent gibberish; he was speaking slowly enough to make sure of that.

Kaleb didn't understand why the other was so utterly upset. His tail swished behind him as he watched quietly, waiting for an answer. When he finally got one, he blinked. He was lost? That was it? How does an 'adult' get lost? He would have expected that from a child.

"You're lost?" He was grateful the accent was being controlled, otherwise he wouldn't be able to make out the words, no matter how simple. "How are you lost? As in... you strayed to far from home?" Couldn't one just backtrack the way they came...?

"Did you try going back from which you came?" This was weird. He'd never come upon such a situation. Maybe if he was about seven years old and was in a grocery store, that would be excusable, but he just couldnt comprehend--

His ears perked as he glanced around, seeing people giving odd looks, and not so happy to have to go around the two in the middle of the walkway. "Here," He offered a hand, rising a little, "we should move so we aren't in the way..."

While Silverdameous was no child, it was fairly easy to get lost when one did not know the city in which they lived in - or even the street name; just the name of a friend and the color of a house. And whose to say that the gray-eyed fox wasn't color blind? Perhaps he saw everything in black and white, or perhaps red was blue and blue was green. The point was that if he were color blind, he would not have known it, and Kaleb would find out sooner or later. That was, of course, if he was color blind. Who knew?

Silver eyed him carefully, saying nothing and just listening to him. The other probably thought he was some sort of uneducated idiot, no doubt - which for the most part wasn't too horribly far from the truth - and it made him feel even more insecure. He had tried back-tracking, and it hadn't gone so well. Even the land marks he had tried to set out mentally for himself had seemed to change and disappear completely.

"I... just moved here from another country... I moved in with a fr-friend... I do not know where we live. I went to explore, to get a feel of things, and before I knew it I was lost..." he explained quietly, now refusing to look at the other male with tear-filled eyes. He didn't need anyone else to point out that he was an idiot; he knew that all on his own.

Silver couldn't honestly give a damn about what the people around them thought. If they were unhappy, so what? That didn't really have anything to do with him - it's not like he had to go home with them later. The fox suspiciously eyed the hand offered to him, tentatively reaching out to take it and rise from the ground, glancing away.

Kaleb hadn't been insinuating that the other was in fact a child, or insult him in the slightest; he was just a bit confused and surprised, was all. His tail waved behind him as his ears perked to the explanation. Well, that made sense.

His ears went back a little, as he helped the other up, "You know, it's okay. It's understandable. If worst comes to worst we could try and track down a phone number for your friend." That was if the other happened to know the full name.

Really, he wanted the other to relax around him, but he also understood he was a complete stranger. "I'm Kaleb... I live just up that way a bit." He turned pointing up the sidewalk. No, he wasn't telling the other to come home with him; just thought maybe sharing some information about himself might show that he didn't have horrible intentions and that he was just a normal citizen.

"If you would like, I could try and help you home..."

The silver-haired fox nodded his head, lightly gathering his tail and hugging it close to his chest. He pet lightly it at, feeling the familiar silken fur beneath his fingers, which seemed to calm him down just a little. Not that his nerves intended on staying calm for very long; he was, after all, still lost and with a stranger.

But just because this Kaleb fellow was a stranger, didn't mean he was a bad person - even Silverdameous knew that much. "We could try, but... I only know one part of his name - I'm not even sure if there's more than one part to it," he murmured quietly.

However, there was one person that he knew a full name to, middle initial included, but he was in no hurry to track down that feline's phone number. Keller was someone to steer clear of, if he bothered the feline at this time of day... Lord knew that the vampire would drain him of his blood and leave him in an alley way.

Silver would much rather sit back down in the middle of the sidewalk than call Keller - even if it was night, he still would not call him. "Silverdamous," he murmured lightly, gray eyes following after the other male's finger. He lived up that way, huh? That wasn't entirely surprising, everybody had to live somewhere.

The fox didn't take it as a 'come to my house with me' invitation, simply the other trying to make him feel a little less nervous. He felt as if he could trust this Kaleb, so he allowed himself to relax just a little more. "Everyone calls me Silver," he added quickly with a small nod of his head. "If you'd like, but I'd probably just get even more lost... again."

Kaleb's tail wagged a bit happily as the other seemed to be warming up. At least he got a ne out of him right? Giving a soft smile he nodded, "It's nice to meet you." It was quite a long name... "I like Silver. I'm not very good at names, so it'll be a smidge easier to remember." He gave a light nod. Truly, he was really bad with names, though maybe not so bad when meeting someone one on one?

The wolf rabbit frowned lightly at the knew knowledge that the other didn't know the last name. "Well, Im not familiar with everyone around so it could be a bit difficult. Do... you know of anyone else? Anyone else you know have a full name? It's just easier that way. Otherwise... I suppose we could head to the shop and try and see if anyone else knows where your friend lives..."

Silver nodded his head lightly, understanding why the other chose to use the shortest version of his name. There were plenty of others that couldn't remember his full name, much less pronounce it properly. That didn't bother him in the least bit, though, it was something that he had grown used to over the years. Not that it took one long to make such small adjustments. Since he was so used to being called Silver, the name Silverdameous sounded strange and almost foreign to him when someone else spoke it.

The male furrowed his brows and nodded, thinking hard on who else he had met. There were a few, but he couldn't recall any last names. Then again, few introduced themselves to him with their last names included, so it didn't come as such a shock to him. However, there was one name that popped into his mind after a moment or two. A first and last name, which made things easier. "Balendu Falenas..." the gray-eyed fox mumbled out finally, giving a small, reassuring nod of his head that the name was, in fact, the name of someone he had met. "I do not think he knows where Yohji is..." Silver frowned and lightly pinched the bridge of his nose, eyes closing. The day continued to get frustrating and upsetting, it seemed.

The wolf rabbit's ears flicked forward. "Well, that's someone. Maybe there's a phone book at the shop where we could look him up and give him a call." It seemed to him, to get a bit better. Now at least they had a lead to where to go. He gave a friendly smile, "Care to take a walk to the shop? Does Balendu know Yohji?"

It was nice to have a central area where hybrids met; you never knew, they could get lucky.

Silver slowly nodded, dusting himself off a bit as his tail flicked about behind him. A majority of the tension was finally starting to wear off, and he rubbed at his eyes to rid himself of the last few tears. The sniffles had subsided and he offered a faint, timid smile towards Kaleb. "Okay," he murmured lightly, standing directly beside the hybrid while taking a quick glance around. He had no idea where the shop was, but at least Kaleb was here to help him get there. Then he could see about getting a hold of Balendu, and maybe making his way back home. "No, I do not think they know each other..."

Kaleb watched quietly, his own tail giving a flick. He couldn't relate really, besides knowing the feeling of being lost only once at the Supermarket when a child; but that only lasted... twenty minutes tops. Offering the other a arm as an escort would and the friendly smile. "The shop isn't far. No more than a few blocks really." Well, maybe several, but it was close. "I see... I suppose we'll have to take our chances won't we?"
