The sun had just risen, melting the shadows that covered the land. Nocturnal creatures were fleeing to their homes, and the creatures of the day had started to emerge. One of these was making her way through the hands, wet grass clinging to her legs as she made her slow steps. The Ali gave a light yawn and glanced over the newly lit lands. A light group of butterflies had landed on the trees and flowes that had lined up beside where she had spent the night. Silver eyes watched the matching wings that fluttered gently on the dark bodies that lay in the warm sun.
Ananchel moved silently as she watched the lands around her come to life, a bright smile curling onto her face.

Though Regelus had only been in these lands for a mere couple of weeks, he had already come to the decision that the morning was his time. The shift from darkness to light, with light always emerging triumphant, was something that he never ceased to rejoice in; the peaceful tranquility of the dawn soothed his spirits, and provided a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the daylight hours. It was a time for solace, a time for meditation; an oasis of calm amidst the chaos that was life on the land.
Technically speaking, it wasn't THAT bad. But compared to life Above, there was simply no comparison.
Still, he could be generous; it wasn't the fault of the Others that they couldn't rival Above in sheer tranquility. He had his dawn hours to enjoy the calm, and that was exactly what this dawn had provided: Calm. Quiet and thoughtful, the massive angeni stallion was making his way through the fringe of the forest, smiling slightly at the beauty that was the outdoors. On mornings like this, he could almost forget that he was Grounded and imagine himself Above once more.

The sun was creeping higher and higher into the sky, reflecting light off of the jewels that adorned her body. Ananchel watched curiously as the reflecting spots moved across the trees with each step she took. The group of butterflies, startled by the mare's somewhat sudden appearance, fluttered into a silver blur in the air. In return, the Ali gave a confused and puzzled blink, shuffling into the black and silver mob of wings.
Her tail trailed behind her, brushing against the long moist grass that grew about a quarter up her legs, as she made her way past the insects and into a small open field, silver eyes pressed to the light blue clear sky that peeked out in the small opening of the forest.
This place, she noted, was beautiful, at this time of day especially. Compared to her last home in the north, where the land was less promising and the inhabitants were as frigid as the cold grounds.
Anan flicked her wings gently, spots of dew shimmering in the sun as they were blown from the feathers.
