What do you guys think? I want to see the stuff in the books and comics that tells what happened after the rebellion succeded in some movies, but I don't want a repeat of The Phantom Menace.

I really don't think they will. They would have to recast actors and stuff unless they wanted to do New Jedi Order or something, and those stories wouldn't really resonate because so many characters would have to be introduced. It'd be a bad idea.

They made that animated Clone Wars movie. Who knows if they will try another, good idea or not. It would be a pretty big money maker.

That wasn't a real movie though, more of a teaser for the upcoming tv series.

I do not think there will be any more movies. But the Darth Bane books would be cool if they were made into movies, and if they didn't butcher them. Plus they wouldn't have to get any of the original cast.

Yes.
But will George Lucas still direct and produce them?.... not necesarrily.
I mean, he'll still be the one who foots the bill and story, along with most of the technology, but the going rumor is he's groomed his daughter to take over the business for him.

Excellent! *rubs hands together maniacally* with his daughter in power, the reign of the galactic effeminate empire will finally rise into fruition. Power to the prissy.

I really really really hope you're wrong. I think even the awesomeness of the star wars franchise can only take so much suck.

She was working on Episode III, which ended up waay better than II.

At this point, I really don't care who replaces Lucas. His quality went from awesome to horrible, then gradually back up to pretty good.
If Episode III had been ruined, there'd be no sequal trilogy. Instead, he managed to save it.
But, if he was to step out, I'd still want a Lucas directing and producing the Star Wars movies (so long as they're qualified).
Short of getting Michael Bay or Steven Spielburg, there is noone better to do it.

I don't think there will be more movies or remakes of the older ones for the fact that goerge lucas would be found dead with a plastic lightsaber through his eye
