Not the moment I turn 18 but a few months after maybe I want a tattoo. I'd prefer it on my neck but I won't do that. Most people on Yahooanswers tell me "Get something meaningful," or "Don't let other people influence your decision," but umm, I want other people's decisions, and I'd rather go to the tattoo artist with an idea and let them design it and use their artistic license, I know I'd regret it less if someone I don't know designs it.
Do you like a goldfish idea? With water lilly's because I want green. I was thinking elephant but that's too political so the only good answer on yahooanswers suggested a giraffe. Does that seem cool? I'd probably want upper arm but not that big because I'm so skinny and it would look wierd if I grew or gained a lot of muscle.

Yea I don't really like tribal art lol. I looked at the link and they look cool but not on my body lol. What's your other tattoo of?
I don't want anything that represents death, tribal, or Japanese, lol. If you google leafy sea dragon or sea horse, either one, you see a green and yellow (I wouldnt want it in yellow tho I think, idk), and it looked cool, really girly but that's all right lol. Giraffe and goldfish are kinda cheesy, though, you're right, lol, they could end up looking really good though depending on the artist...

smile yea but i wouldnt want to have a fidh or a geraffe XD. id'e prefer dragons, demons, skulls, tribal, chinese, anime, grim reaper. and so on but nothing cheesy lol.
my other tattoo is of a chinese symbol that says Dragon.

Yea but I wouldn't want anything that represents death lol. Like one of my best friends died back in May, and two of my friends are planning on getting little tattoos on their ankles to represent her. I would never do that..and lots of people get tats of their pets, but I couldn't do that, either. Like, then I'd feel bad for the other pets, dead and alive, that I don't have on my skin, regardless of whether I liked them or not! And plus it's sad and I just thought of my old dog Cleo and that was when I was like 12 and now my eyes are all wet. xDD!
Do you like this? Like the idea, not the pic specifically?
Someone in my other guild posted this and that seems like a cool idea to me, an elephant made up of leaves, though if I did it I'd want it a bit more realistic than that.

lol, this will be my opinion, the pic looks funn, but it looks nice if you like it, though im not much an anime lover lol. if i were to get an animal tatoo it would probably be a tiger cuz i likes cats XD. or an Eagle cuz there awesome. bear claws or eagle feathers ^_^.

My first tattoo was half of a Ying Yang. And a "friend" got the other half. I will never do that again, only cause we are not friends anymore. The same day I got that one, I got the Initials and d.o.b. of my oldest girl.
A few years later, I went into a shop and looked around a little. I saw three great designs that I loved and could not decide. So, I sat down with an artist and we pieced one together. It is a tribal outlay, with a few twinging ropes and a heart in the middle. And it is on the lower part of my back. Everyone that sees it, loves it.
I also have a celtic design on my ankle ( since I am Irish ) and I made the half Ying Yang into a full one, I have a pissed off angel on my shoulder blade ( which shows my determination to get things done and get where I want to get to )and Lone drew out one for the other shoulder.
Lone's is an angel that is happy and free. No restrictions in movement or detail. Kinda to remind me to just let life happen.
And the last one I got was a piece that was drawn for me by a guy I worked with. I held onto the drawling for a while before I decided to tattoo it on my arm. The only reason I did was because when I thought long and hard about it, he was always a friend to me, he was there when I needed him, and he cared for what I did to me and what was going on in my life. He never let me do something stupid. When he gave me the sketch, he told me he drew it one day while thinking of me. It is a soft, delicate flower, surrounded by lighting bolts. Meaning I am precious and can give love, but to get to it, you have fight until I let you in.
And it is the truth about me, that is how I am.
So all my tattoos have meaning to me.
So as you think about what you want, look inside yourself to who you really are, and if any idea's come to mind, write them down.
And keep in mind, some spur of the moment pics at a shop turn out to be great ones too.

Remember that a tattoo is forever- unless you have it surgically removed, so make it something that say in 20 or 30 yrs you won't be saying- that looks childish. Also, be sure to go to a reputable place. We have a tattoo place near where I live and the guy is a world award winner for his tattoos. Of course, I don't have any, but Tohma got one - on her left shoulder blade- but it's Japanese- the word for love.
For you, how about a green lizard ... dragon of some sort- but no flowers or goldfish. And to be honest, most animals, including fish seem like something that should only be on a child, or maybe a female. Giraffe makes me giggle, you are too thin for elephants or gorillas. Too bad you are male- swans and butterflies can be so creative!

Most tattoo's DO have meanings to them. And some are there just out of the love of art and how it looks on you XD. So i have one of each lol. DW has a point though, that if you get a tattoo make sure it does have a meaning lol. >_> don't listen to GT, its up to you if you want a tattoo or not. It's only for your pleasure of having one biggrin . I are a bit high at the moment but this may not make sense XD i can't think right @_@.

Most of my ideas turn out really girly, I had some that were better than fish or giraffe but they were way too girly. xD Ah well I have months to think about it.

Get creative, what do you like to do. Get your mothers name somewhere on you. Mix all your favorite things up to make one tatto.
