Adrastea stood on top of the
Chrysler Building. One of the most awkward places to stand as it was, and this wind wasn't helping much.
Her blond hair flew around her, and from how strong the wind was, it was surprising how she managed to stay on her feet on top of the huge building. Her black, ripped dress rippled around her in dark waves, contrasting to the light sky behind her, as well to her blond hair.
Her angelic face was smooth and calm as she looked around the city below her. Her dark brown eyes were hard and cold. They were almost dead like, with hardly any emotion in them at all. Though from just one look at her, you could tell she had power.
Suddenly, her pupils narrowed, and a smirk appeared on her face. Her eyes turned pure black before she spread her arms and step off the side. Falling down the fifteen stories, she landed smoothly on one of the gargoyle-eagles. She looked below her once more, making sure her mark was still in sight before she stepped off the gargoyle-eagles head and falling the last 62 stories, before landing dainty on one foot, and started walking without a pause, her eyes back to being brown. No one paid her any mind as she walked, and anyone who did pay her mind saw nothing but a pretty 18 year old girl wearing torn up clothing.
She suppressed a cold smirk
Idiots.
Calmly she walked through the streets, before turning into a alley. She lost her prey. She closed her eyes, letting her magic spread around her. After a moment she smirked again and disappeared. In one huge leap, she was on top of the building beside her.
"Why.. hullo." she said softly to the man on the other side of the building from her.
"You! Why are you following me?!" he yelled at her, his eyes darting back and forth.
Some hero.
"Aww... are you scared little boy?" she cooed, clapping her hands together childishly, though you could see the dead seriousness set in her eyes.
"A child!!! I'm old than you, you impudent child!"
Adrastea laughed, tossing her head back, her blond hair flying behind her.
"Are you calling, Madam Sorceress, a child?" she purred, tilting her head back down at him.
The man barely had enough time to swallow before she was suddenly infront of him, her fingers pressed against his chest. A shimmering ball of something appeared in her hand. She turned from him, leaving him gasping behind her as he fell to his knees.
With the ball of energy in her hands, she lept up onto a cooling system and crossed her legs, watching the man as she ate the ball of energy like a apple. When she was done, she licked her fingers.
"Not very filling. Oh well." She flicked a fingers towards him and suddenly he was engulfed in flames. As he started to scream, she flicked her hand and sent him off the edge of the building. A moment later, a dull 'thump' reached her ears, as well as alot of screaming from pedestrians down below.
She giggled and looked up to the sky.
"I think I'm going to like New York."
