For the most part the pair had been making their way home. Riulve carrying a couple of bags in her hands and Wynni with some bags in her hands. Each of the bags were marked with the name of a clothing store that specialized in children's clothing. They had gone shopping because Wynni had seemingly taken it upon herself to go through a growth spurt that had started as a nightmare and ended the next morning with a larger child-age girl curled up next to Riulve.

Now they were making their way home on foot walking past a library with a small playground attached to it. Wynni almost past by the building without comment until the girl paused at the walkway and blinked. "What is that building, mom?"

"Mmm?" Riulve had been locked in her own thoughts for the moment until Wynni dragged her out of them. "Oh? It is a library, people can borrow books and stuff if they have a card from there."

There was a pause, "Can we go in and get me a library card?"

Another pause followed the one prior and Riulve shrugged, "I suppose so."

With that the two started toward the building.

"Then after we can go to the playground, right?" Wynni asked as Riulve opened the door for them.

"Sure." The outing was turning out to be longer and longer...

Walking throughout the town, Sylas was away, STILL, and with the addition of Samantha to the family, the two decided to do some family bonding. Annalissa was finally out of Erikk's hair as well, hopefully that would stay that way for at least a little while.

Erikk, being a lover of books, decided a good place to go was to the public library to get some childrens books to read to little Sam. The first few nights had been a little troublesome. She was still very new to this world, or so it seemed, and he decided to help the sleeping process along a bit.

He walked down the street-side, holding Sam in his arms. "Lets try to find some kind of book that I could read to you to get you to fall asleep at night." he said, smiling down at the little ball of energy in his arms.

Sam was smiling and giggling and everything little babies do. She was curious of her surroundings, grabbing at everything she could. Erikk's arms, hair, glasses, anything. Her favorite word had become 'mine'. That was almost the only word that Erikk had heard out of her mouth since she had come home with him.

As they approached the building in front of them, Erikk smiled and said, "There is a park over there. Would you like to visit it? You know, park? Swings, sandbox, slide?"

Just the words swing and sandbox were enough to make the girl smile ever more. She was happy to be in a new household. Nights were just hell however. She wouldn't sleep. That was one of her problems. She just went all over the house, grabbing things, and saying, "Mine! Mine! Mine!" all the time. Erikk couldn't wait to get those books.

Inside the library, he decided to look through the childrens books. He hadn't found any quite yet, but he was looking. Hopefully he'd find something soon.

As it just happened the mother-and-daughter pair had come wandering up near by also looking at the shelves of books. The girl was tall for her age mostly due to the unique build of her reptilian legs and she also seemed off balance because of her height or perhaps because she wasn't used to how much shorter things have gotten as she turned to walk on and ended up falling next to the man and his daughter (Erikk and Samantha).

"Ooof!" Was all the girl said while behind her the woman let out a small sigh though she looked amused.

"What'd I tell you about being more careful?" The tall woman said softly as she moved to kneel next to her daughter in order to lend assistance.

Erikk and Samantha looked through the shelves of books as they noticed others around them. Samantha was now down on the floor looking through a picture book that Erikk had used to occupy her. The next thing Erikk knew, there was a little girl lying on the floor next to Samantha. Samantha was scared and looked at the girl and smiled, laughing a little bit.

Erikk automatically said, "Oh, are you alright? I see you have a daughter too. I have two children now. One's a child, the other is just a baby, as you can see. I hope she is alright."

Samantha was happy to see someone new for once. She stood up, and tried to take a few steps forward, wobbling very badly as she did. She walked towards Wynni and just waited for something more to happen.

Wynni picked herself up with a small blink looking first at Erikk and then over at Samantha with a momentarily confused stare of her light pink eyes before she finally broke into a grin as she seemed to concentrate her attention upon the younger and let her mother deal with the adult. "Hi! I'm Wynni! What is your name?" She seemed just as excited to see another child despite the younger age of the girl before her.

The white haired woman watched the children for a brief moment before her icy gaze settled upon Erikk. Riulve smiled slightly and nodded, "I 'ave two pups myself. One is older and with a sitter at the moment. Today was the day for just me and my daughter."

Samantha's eyebrows moved at the sight of this new girl. She giggled as she spoke. A name? Well, Samantha didn't know how to say her full name yet, so all that came out was what people had been calling her since she came home and learned the alphabet. "S...S...Sa....m..." she said with long pauses between the letters. It was a surprise to Erikk that she even knew that much, and what a name was. But he went on to talking to the adult of the group.

"Oh, that's very nice. Yes, my son is out with a friend right now. Or so he tells me. He is almost to the age where rebellion is right, and actually listening to the parent is a sin." he said smiling and with a chuckle. He was happy to see another parent with more than one child. She must know of the trouble it can be having multiple.

Wynni tilted her head a bit as she listened to the other girl speak her name and found to her delight it was easy to remember and to say. Both bonuses in the tall girl's mind. "Sam is a pretty name." She complimented. For a moment the older girl paused glancing back at her mother, "Can we go play?" It seemed as if the adults were going to take forever, she might as well occupy herself and the other girl.

Riulve glanced down at the daughter after listening to the other man chat about his oldest, "If her parent says it is alright I do not see why you couldn't." She glanced at the man before her and awaited his judgment.

"I'm Erikk by the way. And, as long as Samantha stays within the building, or maybe out by the park, and if anything happens be sure to come and get me, I'll be happy to let her go with you." he said smiling. Samantha could be caught smiling and giggling, learning all these words that she could say. Now that she mastered learning how to say her name. Her other word was 'mine'.

But she got up from sitting and began to wobble around the bookcase that they were all standing around. It was time she had some alone time from her father.

Erikk watched and chuckled a bit each time she took a step. He then turned back to the mother and said, "Well, it's nice to see that they get along already. I mean, Samantha can be a bit greedy with things."

Wynni let out a small sigh of relief before she offered her hand to the younger girl, "C'mon! We will play in the park outside," she said as a way of sweetening the pot.

The tall woman glanced over to Erikk now that he had introduced himself she might as well do the same, "I'm Riulve, pleased to meet ya." She replied offering a single hand to shake.

Samantha took the hand and followed Wynni out to the park. She was happy to be going with her. She couldn't wait to start playing in the sand. She loved the sand.

Erikk smiled and nodded saying, "Nice to make your acquaintance." with a handshake. "Well, if I may ask, how long have you had your daughter? I am guessing she was adopted as well as my Samantha. She looks like another one of those children." he asked, not knowing if it was something to ask or not. After all, he didn't want to make a fool of himself so soon.

Wynni made sure to keep her strides measured and slow so that the smaller girl could keep up. They soon found themselves outside in front of the playground. "What you wanna do first, Sam?"

She gave Erikk a firm handshake and then released his hand and listened to his question. Well the children looked similar enough for her not to be distrusting of him or his question, "Yeah, she was shoved on me when she was much smaller. Wyn shot seemingly overnight one day. T'was interestin'."

Samantha smiled and pointed to the sandbox. "There!" she said. She then began to wobble over to the sandbox and trying to get into it.

Meanwhile, inside, Erikk gave the handshake and nodded, stating, "Yeah, same here. Samantha wasn't much smaller than that though, haha. She was literally shoved into my arms after me coming into some building. The man or woman who did it just sent me a letter and poof, there we were standing there together outside of the building. It's only been about a month since that day. She's been a big handful, that's for sure. Do they get any easier as they grow? Haha." he said chuckling.

Wynni followed with her slowed gait just behind Samantha so as to catch the girl in case she fell or otherwise needed help. Wynni didn't seem to mind having to watch out for the younger girl.

"Mmm guess it depends on the pup, Erikk. Some children are harder headed than others while some are angels from start to adulthood." She shrugged a bit, "Depends on how lucky ya feel and what ya do while they grow up. Just don't give up hope."

Samantha smiled as her feet first touched the sand in the sandbox. She jumped up and down and laughed so hard. She then plopped down upon the sand and grabbed some saying, "Mine! Mine!" Just then she patted the ground, as to say the girl could join her in her castle making.

Erikk nodded in agreement with Riulve. "Yeah, I guess it does just depend on your situation. Mine isn't as bad I guess as others. I mean, as of now, both children are very independent. Of course, more so Sylas than Sam, but she is young. She'll grow independent. And both of them are very easy going as of now. But they are both not teens yet. I'm awaiting the teen years to take me for a ride haha." he said smiling and chuckling here and there.

Wynni giggled lightly as she moved forward and crouched near Samantha at the spot designated for her. "Okay, okay." She quietly made a pile of sand for the other girl to easily grasp and work with as she wanted. Meanwhile Wynni's tail lazily swished side to side.

Riulve nodded in return with her own agreement her arms crossing in a manner that she was able to hold her elbows with the palms of her hands. "You want to go sit some where while we talk? We might insult our daughters if we wander outside and make them feel watched." The tall woman smirked.
