It wasn't strange for Huojin to be idling around smaller trails that led up to the mountains, since truthfully he felt some hope in seeing his friend again. He had been putting it off, and he wasn't sure why! The summer months had been long and dull, especially since all conflict had been eliminated from his family life. His father was finally introduced to him and his brother, and even he and his mother were now on speaking terms. His 'family' life was beginning to mold together, and now he was seriously bored with himself.
On the hotter days Huojin usually made his way to a smaller beachside since most beaches were overcrowded with family and friends of friends. He wasn't avoiding the ruckus, but only finding his own solitude from the water. His mother had reiterated Huojin's selfish and overbearing attitude, and with hope the stallion was hoping to work everything out on his own and resolve any anger he had. His father had faith in his personality, and there was his one friend who also did as well. So maybe all things weren't as complicated as his mother had proclaimed? He was finally starting to realize this one simple reality.
Mumbling to himself, the stallion re-focused his gaze ahead and stared quietly at some rocks that drifted along the trail. Should he make his way up there for once? Today he was at the exact trail that he had found Farsiris at, and a part of him wondered where it led. He'd have to make a decision eventually, but for now he just glanced around, and tried to contemplate if today was a sure day to finally see his friend. "She'll probably be mad at me, anyway." he then grunted.

It had been with a great amount of hope in her heart that Farsiris had extended such an invitation to the stallion. She had never anticipated that their meeting would have resulted in such positive vibes. He had been so very pleasant, had done everything in his power to accomodate her and to make her happy. While her family strove to do the same thing, there was something different about how he had done it. At times he had almost seemed uncertain or desperate for her reassurance when really her happiness should have been obvious.
Farsiris was undoubtably a simple mare. Intelligent as she may be, the most simplistic things in life brought a smile to her face. Subtle acts of kindness, gentle words and puzzles. No matter how small they might be, they made her smile and filled her with warmth. Oh, she knew that there was evil in the world but experiencing what she had so far overshadowed such threats by a considerable amount. Ah yes, he had made quite an impact on her that day.
To say she had been intrigued by his personality would be correct, but it had been the first time she had also taken note of another's form. She had always been accustomed to those of the Islagiatt. Attraction wasn't something that crossed her mind in their presence because she was used to them. However, the moment this stallion had crossed her path her innocent eyes had widened considerably and her lips had parted in an 'oh' of admiration.
Ah, she knew not of what those thoughts and emotions were but they had been her first and she hadn't forgotten them.
It had been many weeks since the young mare had crossed his path again, and while she had extended her invitation to him, he had made no attempts to follow it up. His actions were of course excusable, he barely knew her and he could have found something of greater interest but she still had hope. Thus, to assume she would be aangered by his 'intrusion' would be wrong, he was belated in his arrival but he had been invited.
It was with a soft sigh that the mare wandered idly through the lower section of the Islagiatt. Savouring the caress of the long grass across her flanks, her gaze otherwise remained pointed towards the ground. Admittedly her pace and choice of direction remained erratic, but then again she didn't have any place to be at that precise moment in time...

Huojin wasn't spiritual by any means, though when he felt a stronger wind jolt against his back and lead upwards toward the trail he was staring at, he found the only reason he needed to make his way uphill. His legs answered before his mind could think, and he stumbled quickly with forward eyes. Was it really ok for him to enter? At this point he was just ready to find out. He would follow the trail and hopefully see what he could find. And in the end, he was hoping it was his friend.
His pace was swifter then usual and his heart was beating fast in response to his movement. He soon understood the extent of movement that his legs would need to make through this entire process. Farsiris was definitely stronger if she could handle any movement like this whenever she wanted. He was out of breath rather quickly, though his stamina was just fine in contrast. There was no reason to give up just yet, he would have to keep moving.
The hill felt steeper as he made his way up, and the trees started to slant more as they relaxed on the land's mass. When he stopped to examine how different the land started to look he blinked slightly and wondered if he was in a new universe. He had always looked at mountains from afar, but he never realized how hard trees had to work to stand there!
Rather then getting confused, the stallion continued to move up and up until finally stopping at a change of sceney. The land under his hooves was less hilly then before, and the trees didn't look as slanty and uncomfortable. Did he finally make it to an even ground? Time had passed, and his body had definitely taken the hit. The area itself looked empty but full of trees, and he decided to stop his hunt for land so that he could catch some air. But there was no air to catch!
Huojin wondered if the situation could get any worse, and he decided to lay his body next to a nearby tree and try to calm his heart down a bit. Now he was just panicking, and that wasn't the right option. After a few moments went by he was starting to breath a bit easier, but he still looked exhausted and flustered! "I'm weaaak!" he thought.

Farsiris wasn't the strongest of mares, she had a great level of endurance given her origins but in terms of brute strength...she left much to be desired. A self confessed pacifist, she was more than happy to allow others to exert themselves. She never requested that they act on her behalf, but she tended to do her very best to avoid moments where physical strength and the art of combat were paramount to survival. With this in mind, her horn had always been strictly for healing, though she wasn't quite as firm or confident in her skills as she could have been. Ah yes, strength came in many forms and Farsiris was honest enough to confirm that hers was not so much strength as good conditioning and endurance.
Alas, her idle wanderings were soon to come to an abrupt end as she drew near the forested regions of Islagiatt. There was a momentary 'respite' upon the slopes, a place in which the land grew flat and allowed creatures to rest more comfortably. Such areas were scattered throughout the lands but this had always been one of her favourites. Though Autumn was approaching and the blossoms had long since faded, she had regarded the scattered trees and the mountainous flowers with great respect and admiration. In Spring it was always filled with such colour and beauty - had her new found friends known of this they would perhaps understand why she chose to stay so high up.
Forest creatures and plant life were her friends. They were unassuming and they never judged her. There were no creatures within this tiny forest that regarded her shy nature as weak. She wasn't a socialite and never had been... That being said, she had made a number of attempts to try to be social. It had been after much thought that she had come to the conclusion that while she didn't mind the company, she preferred to hide behind the shadows of a stronger character. She didn't like the limelight - it intimidated her too much. She was fond of simple pleasures and quiet activities, being granted the opportunity to observe was much more entertaining to her than a debate or spouts of jesting.
Nevertheless, as she 'breached' the scattered borders of this tiny forest her reverie was interrupted. The familiar chattering of the forest creatures were but a dull lull to the mare, the chatter of teeth and heavy breathing was not. There were many things the mare could drown out as she mediatted but they were noises she was accustomed to. Something that sounded as though it was in distress was not really something she met on a regular basis...
Quickening her pace ever so slightly the mare began to weave between the trees until her dark eyes caught sight of the auburn pelt against the trunk. Partially obscured by tumbling leaves, she only took note of it due to the unlikely 'gleam' that occured as the sun hit it. Foliage didn't gleam and thus she approached slowly to inspect the obviously struggling soquili. What she didn't expect to see though - was her unannounced visitor.
"H-Houjin!" She gasped softly as she rounded the tree and shook her head. Eyes as wide as plates at the sight of the exhausted stallion lying on the ground. "Are you all right?"

Thoughts of surprise, embarrassment, and suicide mingled their way in to Huojin's mind. Why did she have to see him LIKE THIS?! The exhausted stallion jolted upwards and withheld the urge to flee from the mare's presence. Wow. She had seen him at his lowest low. Now there was nothing he could ever hide from her. She had seen it all! Was it time to retreat already?
His tangled hair, dirt and sweat filled body, heavy and ugly breathing... he was sure she was far away from impressed. Why didn't he even consider the fact that she COULD arrive? He really was such an idiot, truly. "I'm fine!" he then said, while allowing his eyes a blink once or twice. His face was probably even paler then before, but that was the least of his worries. "Wo-wow, I wasn't expecting to even find you." he then said, while trying to sneak a chance of conversation. "I am entirely grateful though that I did, and that I found you."
He was going to proceed forward, and explain that he was hoping to find her by making his way upwards since it was long overdue, but no. He was already the loser in her eyes. Any mare would know how to tell this stallion how it was and that he should be ashamed to stand in front of such a lady as he was. He was ashamed to be alive really! "Just wow." he then said, without even knowing it. When he caught that he had spoken outloud, he shook his head and wanted to burrow it into the ground. Huojin THOUGHT he had gotten better at controlling his outrageous moments, but apparently he was failing right now. It had been awhile since his last outburst, but why, why now! Stupid brain!
"I really am sorry, I seemed to have gotten exhausted from the hike up here. I'm not strong enough for the mountains it seems." And such, how could he be strong enough to impress her? "But its rather beautiful so far, I am amused by the trees most definitely..." Sigh. Maybe he could jump off the mountain? Well, at least till Farsiris was far away. He wouldn't make her watch such a horrible sight!

Jumping of cliffs would have been a little too extreme for the petite mare. It was just as well she couldn't read his thoughts as the reckless decisions and 'idea's would have sent her into a frenzy of worry. Alas, his panicked expression and abrupt body language did cause her to shy away somewhat. He quite obviously didn't want her close to him and so, she granted him the distance he desired. It caused a little twinge in her chest, but this was something she could ignore. Everyone was entitled to their personal space!
Nevertheless as she took his ragged appearance into consideration that twinge returned and she felt the guilt coursing through her body. She had forgotten how strenuous hikes up the slopes could be, she'd also forgotten that not everyone knew the easiest routes up. Through her own selfish desire to introduce him to her surrogate mother she hadn't taken in to consideration is lack of conditioning to such climates. Oh, her face fell in shame as he struggled to regain his composure and her gaze lowered as a symbol of her guilt.
She should have been more considerate!
"No, no, no, no!" She interrupted his apology abruptly and shook her head. Launching herself forward she very quickly tugged some of the twigs and leaves from his mane before offering an apologetic smile. "I should be apologising, I should have come to meet you -" she paused abruptly and backed away quickly once again to give him his personal space. She had her moments of fleeting affection but ultimately she hadn't the gall to continue to force herself upon another.
"The slopes are strenuous for all Soquili, to think you clambered up some of the most difficult terrain..." she hesitated again and glanced behind her, her gaze resting fleetingly upon the edge and the 'dip' that occured soon after. "To have made it up here choosing that path shows a great deal of courage and strength," she cleared her throat and turned her gaze back to the stallion who was most definitely exhausted. It was her fault his composure had been lost but she was entirely certain of how to make such a thing up to him!
"Erm..." she took another breath as though she was wary of her words being taken as an affront. "Would you like me to take you to a spring so that you can wash some of the little leaves out of your hair?" She asked hesitantly. It was the most diplomatic approach she could think of - he looekd like a wreck and it was her fault. However, to outwardly indicate that someone was in need of some tender loving care was a little more than just rude.
"I promise I'll show you the easy way up! You won't feel tired at all!"

The initial shock had luckily passed through Huojin's mind, and his overwhelming thoughts were becoming more controlled at least! It felt horrible to still -be- embarrassed, but his friend had seen it all at this point. He realized that he should just stand up and recover like the tough stallion he was. Even if recovery felt futile at this point in time, he knew he could at least come out of the situation alive. And that was all that mattered!
"Heh, as usual you are so so kind." he shook his mane out after she had attempted to free him from the dirty and was thankful to the fact that some of the twigs were set free from his mane. "And trust me, none of this is your fault. That is entirely not possible." he felt a hint of laughter leave his mouth, and he glanced at her with a more normal expression. "The decision to come up here was all mine, and as destructive as it might have seemed, it allowed me to see you. I didn't think that much was even possible." So really, he had no reason to be upset anymore.
When he was making his way upwards not long ago, he was skeptical that he would find anything in the many acres around him. If him struggling as he did allowed for Fairsiris to come over... then maybe the entire situation worked out perfectly in the end!
"I'd love to freshen up a bit." he then said, with agreement. "And my energy is back and here, so you won't have to witness any other exhausted moments from me..." Crap... was she doubting him! Now he was just being paranoid, but even still he kept his thoughts locked away and prepared himself to follow his friend. "So tell me, how have you been?!" It was the million dollar question, and he truly was interested. It had been too long since their last meeting.. and that was also Huo's fault!

His reassurances fell on reasonably deaf ears, she wasn't being deliberately ignorant but she still couldn't excuse herself for her lack of hospitality. Her expression clouded somewhat as he completely dismissed any type of 'fault' on her behalf. However, the fact still remained that she hadn't come to meet him and she hadn't warned him about the easier routes up. Now she was ashamed that such a roud and handsome stallion had become so dilthy because of her neglect - oh no! Her eyes shifted away from him briefly in an attempt to mask her embarassment.
She couldn't look at him in the eye, there was no way.
However as he made reference to coming to see her, her eyes did widen and her ears pivoted towards the sound of his voice. Now a new form of embarassment rose in her chest, that tiny little flutter. She wasn't entirely sure what it was given she had never confessed to such strange reactions to her mentor. Alas, it wasn't a horrible feeling...but it did remind her of just how appealing he had been so many weeks ago. Ah, the soft voice, the charming smile and that surprisingly attractive form.
No! She had to behave.
Shaking her head, she strengthened her resolve and returned her gaze to his. A hint of a smile on her lips as he referred to her 'kindness', really all of Islagiatt were hospitable. She wasn't being kind in ensuring he was safe, she was being polite! That being said, the overall fussing that had ensued to try and remove some of the twigs and leaves from his hair had been for her own selfish desires. Those at the very least could have been mistaken for kindness...
"Oh..." she smiled a little more as he made reference to his recovery. Apparently he had miraculously recovered from his weariness, she doubted it had been that quick but she wasn't about to question him. Every individual was entitled to portray themselves in the way they saw fit. She would just make sure to take extra special care of him on the way up. After all, there was no way he would recognise an easier path from a hard one!
"Well then, we should get going," with a small nod she shook the hair from her eyes and began to wander away from the scattered tree line. Moving along the flat lands until a rocky path became visible. It was a dirt trail and a well used one at that, visible enough to be seen weaving up the slopes in a very elogated yet predictable fashion.
"I think you'll like it as well, the water is nice and warm!"

Huojin enjoyed the fact that he was now following the mare, rather then being the leader like their last encounter. It was a nice twist of change, and he stretched his legs a bit with each stride while watching the mare's elegant lead. There was always something so special about Farsiris, and his eyes felt shameful at watching her as he was. He instinctively lowered them elsewhere, and realized he enjoyed the mere fact that she was taking charge by leading him off somewhere. That expressed an independence that Farsiris had when she was in her natural atmosphere, and that was a new detail for him to take in.
Unfortunately for Huojin, a sense of anxiety drifted back into his mind as he realized many moments had gone by with a silence-filled air. It wasn't his intent to remain so silent, but his mind was overthinking what he should say! Should he inquire about the mare's life? Tell her how perfect she looked? Discuss his own happenings since their last meeting? Hugh. Never had he felt so flustered by the mere act of speaking.
Alas, with a deep breath in, he decided to just go with whatever came to his mind first. "You really look wonderful, Farsiris. Not that I didn't expect that." Ok, well that was a start. "And erm," he continued on, while swallowing his words a bit, "I am interested to hear what you have been doing in the summer season, and how life has been treating you. I hope all has been well in these parts?" Farsiris was the type of mare who only deserved happiness, and he wished so was true in her life.
His initial nervousness was starting to wear off, since any ice-breaker words had already been expressed and left in the open. He had to admit, no matter what he said he knew that Farsiris wouldn't be that appalled or surprised. If she remembered anything since their last encounter or even from today, she was probably already aware of Huojin's crazed thoughts when he was flustered! Oh what his mother had done to him!
"I hope the flowers have been blooming safely and comfortably in these parts too," he then added, while remembering that one important detail about the mare. "I know how much you care for them, and I hope the sun has been taking care of them with you."

Silence had never been a bad thing in Farsiris' opinion - one of her closest friends barely talked. She was aware that silences could be filled with peace and tranquility as opposed to awkwardness. However, the mare did recall a number quirks regarding Houjin from their previous encounters and knew that his often flustered self might find it uncomfortable. She wasn't sure why he was as he was, but she found his behaviour endearing. There were moments when he would drift into his own thoughts, seemingly unaware of his own subconcious desire for some 'me' time...and then within seconds he would give a random outburst and begin to speak again.
While the mare remembered some of his distinct quirks, she also hoped he recalled some of her own. She didn't think poorly of him for his desire for a brief moment of respite, nor did she ever deem it a necessity that he make small talk! If he had wanted to be quiet she would have been more than happy to oblige - after all, he had been even more hospitable than she had been! She was trying to recover her loss of composure and the poor immediate reunion but given his current state, she had a lot to work towards! Ah, had she known from the start he would have never colapsed in the first place.
Nevertheless as the stallion complimented her appearance she halted abruptly and glanced over her shoulder. For a few moments she simply stared at him, largely unaccustomed to compliments. She was aware that she possessed a beauty about her, her mentor had said as much...but for the most part she had never dwelled on it. To have another individual compliment her, a soquili who wasn't a part of her family was a little bit of a surprise - enough to cause her to start at the very least. That being said after a few moments she lowered her head and offered a smile of gratitude, one that held just a little shyness to it.
"Thank you," she offered after a few moments before beginning to walk again. She had no desire to leave him standing in a muddy pile, she would answer the rest of his queries and general chit chat as she walked. Though the more he spoke the more her expression twisted into one of confusion. General chit chat was something she was accustomed to, but an individual who took interest in her hobbies was something she wasn't used to.
"The flowers have been in very good health," she replied gently, clearing her throat as she continued to walk. "They were certainly in full bloom this year, they had the opportunity to sing much louder this year because we had much to celebrate..." She paused for a little while as she weaved along the pathways before releasing a small sigh. It wasn't a sorrowfilled one, so much as one of contentment and fondness.
"My herd had a large influx of foals, many of the families are celebrating the new additions." She shook her head after this and glanced to her side to offer another smile, "But enough of my dealings - I hope your summer was as pleasant as mine?"

Huojin halted himself as Farsiris stopped the motion, and he widened his eyes at her reaction to his words. He really wasn't a charmer by any means, but apparently she was joyed from his compliment. That at least was nice, to know that he didn't freak her out or anything. "It is well deserved." he then added, while quickly picking his pace up again to follow his delightful friend. He didn't want to swoon her too much, even if he felt that was deserved.
He was comfortably quiet as she answered his questions, making sure to note all of the details that came with each of her words. There was one detail he noticed instantly, and that was her response to the new arrivals in her herd. "Well... is it good that the families in the herd are growing?" he then asked, with bright eyes. "Do you like foals and families?" He was only asking politely, of course, since it was a detail that he had never known about the mare.
At the slight question of his own summer, he nodded happily before thinking up the best response. "Trust me, I am happy to listen. And yeah, my summer has been interesting but appropriate. I was finally able to meet my father, fix some family drama, so now here I am." And hopefully, he was there with a new confidence from his new-regal father's help. "My parents are supposedly trying to start a new family -together- this time, so I am slowly musing over that thought too." Heh, apparently he and his brother were not enough or something. Ugh.
"So it seems for the both of us summer has been rather eventful. Hopefully the fall season will bring more peace and relaxing." He eyed the sky then, and grinned at the thought of crisp air and new memories. "I sometimes forget that you are here in this herd." he then admitted, while feeling rather happy from that thought now. "That ensures that you are safe from harm at least, and that support is always around you if needed." And, he could rest assured from that fact as well.

It was hard not to like foals when you originated from the Islagiatt herd. While her roots did not lie with them, Yei's willingness to embrace her as a part of the family had made a lasting impact. Now with the coming of new foals and even new members, she celebrated with as much excitement and anticipation as the rest of her herd mates. Admittedly her celebrations were quieter and more gentle, but her enthusiasm and her congratulations were never far from the front of her mind. It was easy for her to present her congratulations to expecting parents or new apprentices - to be hostile towards visitors would have been most unlike her.
Nevertheless when he asked the question her smile did grow ever so slightly and she provided him with a nod as confirmation. "I love foals, they are a delight to watch," she replied gently, flicking her tail lightly at her flank. It was here that she drifted away from the immediate dirt trail and began to move down a lesser known trail. It wasn't as beaten but had been walked upon before. Undoubtably the main trail led to the outpost at the peaks but it was her intention to help him get clean first!
"I always love watching their games," she explained after a few moments, casting a glance of recognition towards various plants and features upon the landscape. "Teaching them the ways of the world and showing them the little miracles that exist are something I savour too - new life is not something I look lightly upon." Farsiris was admittedly, one of the most willing babysitters around though she had never been so bold as to ask for children of her own. Ever the patient teacher, she simply instructed those budding foals around her in the more delicate aspects of life - herbology and nature were her specialty.
"Someday I hope to be lucky enough to have my own, you know?" She smiled a little at this, though her expression soon transformed into one of genuine delight as he made reference to the reunion of his own family. She had been unaware of how broken it had been, nor was she entirely aware of his mother's rather peculiar view of her sons, but the news that all sides had been reunited... Well, it was always good news when families rebuilt bridges they had previously thought burnt. "I'm glad you met your father, but why is it that you dislike the idea of siblings?" she enquired gently.
"Just think, it could be the ideal opportunity for you to pass on all your wisdom and observations from your travels. I know from experience that little babies tend to love their siblings unconditionally," she cooed, distinctly recalling the chaos that often ensued when foals latched on to the older members of Islagiatt. More often than not, foals soon found themselves in possession of feathers and hair they previously hadn't had - all immediate results of latching on to someone's tail or wings.
"And I think you would make a lovely brother..." she added hesitantly before musing over his other observations. There was no doubt in her mind that Islagiatt was a very protective herd, though they stressed freedom and as such...sometimes harm came from it.
"The herd is a very loving one, I will admit to that." She agreed, though her eyes soon lit up with recognition as she saw the steam rising into the air ahead of her. A sign of the hotspring that lay near by, "I believe this is the bath I wished to show you..."

Just hearing Farsiris speak so elegantly about children was enough to prove how wonderful of a mother she would be if she had her own. It was refreshing really, since Huojin always wondered what a true mother was all about. Motherhood couldn't have been as bad as his mother had said, and from Farsiris' reaction he was starting to have better ideas towards a normal and happy mother. It was basically everything she embodied. And that was a beyond pleasant thought.
"You really will be an unbelievable mother." he then admitted, while realizing she was already subconsciously planning her own experience out. "I'm jealous I'll admit, since you have so much confidence on the subject, and I am rather worried for some reason. I guess I just wonder about my own skills. But then again, I'd like to hope that I would work extra hard to make my children happy." Since his childhood was rather shitty in his eyes. But hey, that was a reason to be a better father in the end!
And on the topic of his parent's gaining more children... "Its not really what it sounds like.." his ears flicked uncomfortably, and he tried hard to piece his words together, and correctly. "My parents want to start fresh, and at first I was rather selfish with the idea. What's wrong with my brother and I? Are we to just ignore everything we've been through?" A grunt left his mouth ever so suddenly, and he closed his eyes while shaking his head out quickly. This was not his place to rant and complain. Why ruin such a lovely moment with the mare? "Like I said, at this point I just told them I was happy for the them, since more conflict is unnecessary for them." Even if his mother might have deserved it.. "But everything will work out, definitely." He pulled a smile out to cover his words, and he nodded while following her some more.
Luckily, his clouded thoughts were interrupted with the arrival of the hotspring. "Oh wow, this looks wonderful." he stepped forward a bit to investigate the area, and he turned back to Farsiris with a glee of excitement. "Natural warm water?! I've never seen that before. Sometimes the ocean is warm, but it depends on if a storm is coming or not. And thankfully, no storm here." Wow, the mountains held all sorts of secrets it seemed!

They said that ranting and raving were all a part of the healing process. Bottling up emotions and holding resentment towards another being simply festered hatred and anger. Hatred and anger led to mishaps, misunderstandings and often regret which Farsiris never liked to encourage. Thus, she was more than happy to lend an ear to the stallion as her made his outburst. That being said, she was mildly disappointed when he decided to hold back...perhaps an attempt to spare her from a headache while giving himself a worse one.
"They say that a good sibling always makes a wonderful parent," she agreed softly, closing her eyes for a few moments as she let the steam wash over her delicate features. It was in striking contrast to the crisp air of the slopes, yet it remained surprisingly refreshing. Another of her favourite places, she often enjoyed meditating in the steam of the hotsprings though she rarely bathed. She found the steam that caressed her nostrils to be more comforting than the water itself.
"I wouldn't let resentment towards your parents cloud your judgement," she advised gently as she drifted closer to the spring and examined her own reflection. A small smile lined her lips and after a while she released a sigh. "After all, your siblings haven't asked to be brought into this world...it would be unfair to resent them. It also gives you the opportunity to perhaps give them what you believed you lacked..." she rolled her shoulders in a semblance of a shrug before moving round to the other side of the spring. Nudging briefly at the rocks, she took note of the minor changes the spring had undergone in the course of the year.
"And there's nothing wrong with you are your brother. I would have like to have thought that he is as handsome, honourable and pleasant as you are. Though the vision of a parent is often clouded, I wouldn't let it hamper you too much..." it was perhaps the deepest insight she had ever provided, a part of her suspected that she had overstepped the mark. It was rude to draw any immediate conclusions upon another's past and she had tried to her best to avoid this. However, she could only draw conclusions based on the information she had been provided with - more often than not she chose to be quiet, but this was one of those times when she suspected that reassurance was much better than simple acceptance.
She couldn't insult his parents, it was beyond her ability. She couldn't even look bitterly upon her own parents given that neither had been capable of raising her. She merely accepted such things as fact and moved on.
"Perhaps one day I will get the opportunity to experience motherhood, there is no need to be jealous of enthusiasm though - you will find equal confidence when you discover that you are an expectant father... That much I know!" Her smile brightened considerably as she reasserted her faith in the stallion before she motioned gently towards the water with her hoof. He was well in need of a bath and something to relax his muscles given the strenuous hike up the slopes.
"For now though, I would say you have more than enough reason to savour the hidden treasures of the mountainside, wouldn't you agree?"

Huojin allowed the water to clean off his disgraceful body, and he was both relaxed and comforted instantly from the water's touch. He had to admit, he was in an amazing position. His body was being preserved by the warmth and steam, and his ears were listening happily to Farsiris' advice. No matter what she said, her voice was always so soothing. That was one detail he had remembered from their last encounter, and he happily nodded to her as she finished her helpful words.
"I assure you, I hold nothing against my parents. Its just a bothersome situation, but we all learn to let things pass eventually." At her comment towards her brother, he felt most compelled to answer. That was a detail he hadn't explained to her yet, and Shen was most definitely an important asset to his life! "Ah well, you speak of my brother fairly well! Though he is most definitely more pleasant and honorable then me, I envy him for his consistent patience and virtue. I have always been the noisy one, and he has always been the opposite of me. Its rather funny how that works out." A smile was stamped on Huojin's face in response to his words, and he shrugged slightly while making his way out of the water.
Unfortunately for him, the air was chilly at first, but then he let out a soothing sigh, since all sorts of temperatures were being emitted from his much cleaner body. "I can see why you like this place, I don't think I've felt this refreshed in ages." He then turned himself away from the mare so he could shake some of the water away from his mane, but within seconds he was back and facing her, since he didn't want to seem uninterested at all! Especially since that wasn't a possibility.
Huojin wanted Farsiris to be a mother, and her passion towards the subject made him think up images where she had little foals running around her, and she would be participating in their games with them. "Well, I hope you find someone special to help you in your quest with motherhood." he paused then, and knew that fact was alright. There was definitely a stallion out there that was perfect for Farsiris- he would have to be smart, strong, fulfill all of her needs and desires. Just thinking in that way was enough to make Huojin quest to be the perfect stallion himself, and he strongly considered it as he watched her smile. It'd be worth it, but he'd have to work hard.
"The mountainside has graced me with many treasures, yes." he than admitted, while taking his eyes off of her subtly. "Afterall, it introduced me to you not long ago..." And he would savor that forever and as carefully as he could.
