i haven't been on here much recently, but i figured that i would let you guys in on some relatively cheap loli, as i make it my self.
i have started a small online store, www.freewebs.com/rorikon , catering to custom made lolita pieces. at this point, i am only doing blouses, but i hope to get other items up as soon as possible.
most details on my items will be customizable, and i will have a few standard items to choose from as well.

The post itself is fine, since you're linking to an off-site shop rather than selling items through Gaia. (:
For the shop, though, I'd recommend getting your gallery up as soon as possible. Even if you only have photos of past work and not the blouses you're currently producing, it'll help people get an idea as to the quality of your work and the things you're best at. Also, advertising somewhere like EGL once you have more of your shop operating is a good idea--people always are looking for a good deal on blouses there.
Another good idea for when you're up and running would to be including a guestbook of testimonials where your customers can leave reviews and information directly for others to read while they're looking to shop.

Rorikon or Lolicon is more of a manga genera (or pornography) where there are little girls in sexy poses sad kind of different from loli. Adding con or kon onto a word connotes obsession, fandom, ect. You might want to rethink the name or some people might get the wrong idea.
Just google search rorikon or lolicon as opposed to lolita and you will see that the results will be QUITE different o__o

Generally, it's a sexual attraction to young girls or girls with very youthful characteristics. Aka actual or percieved ***** and ephebophilia. I do not think you want your website associated with that, just as none of us want the fashion itself associated with the issue.

sorry about the name. i will change that asap. i didn't choose the name, my boyfriend did, and i thought he knew what it meant. i didn't.
as for my own domain name, i cannot afford one at this time, though i will get one as soon as i am able.
as for a gallery of things that i have done in the past, i don't have to much that was loli, i was mainly a cosplay artist. should i put pics of that stuff up for now?
and i did post on EGL! ^_^
i deleted the site. does anyone know a good name for my business?

Fia's ultimate foolproof cool brand name maker:
(Name of fruit/ vegetable/ cute object) (Name of pastry/ cute object/ something French)
Like "Lemon Cupcakes" or "Zucchini A la mode"
Or choose a song title that sounds cool, you don’t even have to like the song XD that’s what Isobe did.

Names aren't usually too hard, and they don't even have to make proper sense. You just have to find something that calls to you, for whatever reason. Looking through songs lyrics or more standard poetry can be great inspiration.
French sounds nice, but it just seems a little cliche for the whole Lolita scene, to me.
(Hence why my little brand label is Italian heart I intend to expand eventually into a few sub-lines for different variations of the fashion, each with its own name that still goes along with the main label. There is some serious temptation to throw in some latin here and there, though)
But really, whatever you think sounds nice

Yeah, basically. It's better to come up with a name yourself, than having people decide for you or throw their ideas in. It should identify with yourself, as well with Lolita but you don't need to make up names that are a bit cliche, like French or something sugary or cute or elegant.

It's not a full shop, right now. smile It's all private commissions and occassionally some pre-made things, but I do have a label/business name. I run things like a business and work to professional standards-- it's just availability and how the items are currently being sold that doesn't make it a real shop yet. I fully intend to work on something more formal when I'm not so busy with University.

Migoto as an adj means something like Splendid, Magnificent, Admirable, or Praiseworthy, as well as Beautiful. As a noun is means commendable deed, feat, praiseworthy act, etc (such as: He has a perfect swing) It's also a 'na' adjective so if you were looking for standard Japanese, it would have to be Migoto na Loli(ta). Overall, I think it's a little out of place or ill fitting-- and definately sounds like you took a babelfish translation and threw it out there as a name. Other more appropriate adjectives for pretty or beautiful are Kirei (na), and Utsukushii (no particle required between adj and noun). Though I'm not particularly fond of using beautiful at all, as it seems like something self-absorbed to be calling your own shop. If you would like to use Japanese, I would suggest something more subtle than "BEAUTIFUL LOLI" or anything else "___ LOLI." Maybe just stick to a single word? Kanbi = Sweet Kanmu = Sweet Dreams Kawairashii = Sweet/Lovely Youdai = Fairyland Douwa = Fairytale Tsukimisou = Evening Primrose (Personally, I think Kawairashii has a darling sound to it when it rolls off the tongue, as does Kanbi)
