Have you ever notised that a ferret wont play in an area something has died
when i first got my ferrets i was going to let them have the storage room as their room it was perfict size and even had a ferret proof drain to make cleaning easy but when i put them in there they would all huddle up and stair at a spot on the floor and they would stay like taht as long as they were in the room which for a ferret to hold still worried the hell outa me so i moved them into my room and they became happy as could be so i figured meby cuse it was a sudden change it scared them though that didnt make much sence since they always wanted to explore the house

well one day i was doing the landry and i normally wont let them in teh laundry room becuse of the danger of the machines running but they weent into the room and hudeld in the corner and staried at the spot
i pionted this out to my mom and she explaned taht the man who prevously owned the house was watching after his elderly mom and she had gone in there to get somthing and had a heart attack and died on the floor

so my ferrets are afrade of that spot even though the floor has been cleand and coated in a few layes of garage floor sealent so there is no way any smells could still be there

share your stories i would love to hear others

Wow, thats a new one on me. Perhaps your fuzzies have ESP 8D! <3

The only story I can contribute is just a phrase really. When our little boy ferret died in January this year, our kit (at the time she was) would huddle in my arms and lick my hands like she obviously knew I was grieving. I think she tried to hide her sorrow from me and my husband. Anytime I was able to watch her in her sleep, she seemed to have nightmares, when she had never moved in her slumber till after Mr. J was gone. Since Nora has been with her, she never stirs in her sleep anymore.

I think animals can sense things like that. Sort of like a 'sixth sense' or something.
