It was late afternoon, almost dusk, and the sun was just starting to sink behind the trees. The large, pastel green cat stretched, and yawned big. Lately he had been taking longer and longer naps in the afternoon, mostly to escape the vicious heat, and partly to be up and alert as the sun sank beneath the horizon. It was a lovely time of day when all sorts of creatures began to come out, and a wonderful time to hunt.
Orlo stretched out luxuriously before getting up, looking up at the sky, which was starting to fade to a light pinkish orange, growing more vibrant toward the horizon. He also loved to watch the sunset, and it was a wonder to see the sky change so. He was hungry now however, so he would watch another time. He yawned, and carefully climbed down the tree he had fallen asleep in, and stalked quietly into the jungle.
