So what did you think of it?
I absolutely love the book series but I must say, I was highly dissapointed by the movie. Mainly by how much they changed. They changed so much and took out so much from Uncle Monty! The acting from the children was ehh... and Jim Carrey should not have played Olaf, making him into a funny character. But it makes sense. Nickalodeon worked on it and the writer wrote such "Classics" as Casper and Men in Black 2. The director had only really directed tv shows before this. Just from that, I should have realised it was going to be a disaster. I had no idea Nickalodeon worked on it until the opening credits rolled and from realization of nickalodeon, my response was "Oh s**t"
The only thing that was really good in this movie were the costumes and scenery. They did their Aunt well too.

If you don't mind PLEASE STOP MAKING REPEAT THREADS! If you wanted to talk about the movie then go to the others that have already been made. Though I can understand since you are probably new to the guild.

Though I can understand since you are probably new to the guild. I saw three other threads. One just talks about movie mistakes, one shows clips, and one asks what your expectations were. This one just plain asks for your thoughts on it. What you liked and disliked. So no. This isn't a repeat thread.

I thought the movie was good but it could have been MUCH BETTER.

Yeah, I hated it. But for the past few days, I've been thinking.. How would the movie have been if Tim Burton directed it?

Exclaim Yeah, I hated it. But for the past few days, I've been thinking.. How would the movie have been if Tim Burton directed it? I liked, it but...wow, it would've been just his type of movie @_@
By the way, this *is* kind of a repeat thread...you can talk about your thoughts in any of them-and actually I think there's at least one just on your thoughts about the movie. We don't need ten threads talking about every different way you can talk about the movie.

I have yet to see the movie [gonna see it next Thursday with my class] But my friend Naomi saw it and complained. yet, I agree with your point. It seems that they're making this into a series of funny events, when it should really be creepy and disturbing. sad
