Does anyone on Gaia actually know how to have a conversation anymore?
Either I'm missing something, there's a place where people who have an attention span longer than one or two posts hang out, or senility really has kicked in early.
I left Gaia for a while a couple of years ago, had no internet connection after I had my first baby and I came back this April to find that no one talks anymore! gonk I used to hang out in the exchange where a regular stream of visitors would pop in during the day and we would talk. About nothing in particular but it was conversation. Now I am reduced to lurking in LI, driving myself insane wondering if I was ever that angsty before I hit my twenties.
Perhaps I'm just online at odd times of the day (night) or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? Bearing in mind that at the moment the highlight of my conversations throughout the day consist of what we'll be having for lunch and why the childrens channel is NOT something that mommies can watch for more than 2 hours at a time. It would be nice to find somewhere where I can talk again!
Save me Geezers! Someone start a proper conversation! xd

I'm new to the forum thing, I usually get caught up in mail or in towns. Today I've been doin pretty good in the forums though. Guess it just depends.

lol, perhaps I just dont have the patience for it anymore!
I used to have almost instant unlimited broadband, now I'm limited to my poor old crappy laptop!
Don't get me wrong, I've met some lovely people, but they all PM and it takes forever for my ancient old system to open each one. sad I just want to find somewhere comfy to hang out!

I can honestly say that I do not remember how to have an ongoing conversation online... it has been a while. I guess since most the threads I comment on move very slow.... I will get back to them the next day with my replys...

Lil-Jo I know what you mean, it takes me forever to find something I can actually comment on or take an interest in. And threads I do post in tend to fade away into obscurity. eek Perhaps it's me?!?

lol, I have been lurking, but I don't see many ads on Gaia, just internal ones.

I wonder why I don't get ads?
Not that I'm complaining! Anything that slows my computer down any more should be burned and stomped on. Poor laptop.

Aye, true. It may be old and slow, REALLY slow, but it does have it's good points!
And it was free.
I should probably find someone who knows abut computers and ask them to give it a service or something! *is clueless with computer-gubbins*

Ah a free comp, that makes it worth wild. lol If I could look at it and play with it I could probably help, but not to good explaining how to do things.
