  "Mother, really," Sweet begged as his mother groomed him, holding him in a decievingly strong grip. He wiggles to try and get away from Scarlet, but to no avail."Oh, just look at yourself, Sweetpea, you're absolutley filthy!" Scarlet huffed and set to cleaning behind her sons ears. He really was just one big ball of dirt today. "You're too old to be getting this dirty. Speaking of old...Sweet groaned."When are you bringing home a mare," Scarlet inquired, releasing her now clean son.Sweet stood and shook himself out. "For the last time mother, I'm not really on the look out for a life mate. I just was a low commitment girlfriend." He looked at his mother who looked momentarily offended but he smiled and said, "If something happens, I promise, I won't run out of her and the foals. They'll be my family." He nuzzled his mother affectionatley.

Deciding whatever it was would be more interesting then wondering aimlessly he started towards the smallish things. He was hoping not to get into anything serious or bothersome but he'd rather get involved with that then become bored. As he grew closer he was able to make out what they were. Were they two foal? Why would two foals be left alone where they could get hurt? Whether get cared or not he didn't know yet, he was just more curious as to their lack of an older Soq like a parent. Though... they looked a bit different then the normal foal. Ah what does he know about foals! He never met that many so he cant talk! Even so foals will look different based on their parents so the possibility that those two are normal is there. But who knows. Maybe they were really something different... Bah! Klei was still convinced they were just werid looking foals. No one was going to tell him otherwise.
Klei arrived close enough to the two foals to hear the end of their conversation. Hmm? he thought with a confused look on his face. Was that foal just talking about having foals....? He let out an unintentionally loud sigh as he grew more and more confused.

Sweet, who was facing the Stallion, shifted his gaze to meet his, his eyes instantly narrowing in a warning not to touch his mother.
Scarlet turned to follow her sons gaze and beamed, jumping up. "Shiney stallion!" She kicked the air with her front hooves excitedly and whinied to encourage him to continued over. She adored making new friends.
Sweet, however, was not as inviting. He continued to glare at the stallion. He knew the look he had. And by gods if he was called a foal one more time...

Klei instantly noticed that glare he was receiving upon being noticed. He raised a brow and smirked. Is that little foal trying to tell me something? Haha, yeah. no. He can try but he'll loose. He thought to himself as he stared back. Though the little stallion to be seemed a bit annoyed the other foal seemed to be quite happy, but... shiny stallion? Was he really a shiny stallion? Klei looked up at his goggles thinking that maybe she meant he was shiny because of his goggles.. but grew confused quite quickly. Bah! He shook his head to rid the thought from his mind then focused back on the two foals.
Well one being happy is better then none right? Originally he would just turn his head and leave but the fact how one of them didn't want him to be there made Klei want to stay. So with that thought and intention in mind Klei happily walked over. Responding back with an accepting neigh.

Scarlet whinied and paws at the air again. "Did you hear that my dearest, darlingest son? We're going to make a new friend!" She ignored her son's grunt of displeaure as he flopped onto his hip and turned away from the two of them. Why did he detest regular soquili so? Oh well. Scarlet shrugged the unhappy thought away and pranced in place. "What are those things on your head? What's your name? Wanna be my friend? I'm Scarlet. this is my darling boy Sweetpea!"
Sweet wince upon hearing his full name. "I told you, ma, I'm Sweet, Sweetpea is a girls name!"
"I know," Scarlet beamed, unaware of what her son really meant.

Upon arriving he was bombarded with questions. At times like these he wished he took the glare to heart and left but alas he didn't. "Uhh..." Klei confusingly got out before the little stallion spoke.
Sweet.. pea? Klei thought to himself with a light laugh. That poor little foal. He also found it rather amusing how what he said about his name completely went over the little mare's head. Wait a minute... Ma? Son? They're... mother and son? he began to think again just adding to the pile of confusion that started to build in his head.
Eventually getting back on topic he decided to answer some of Scarlet's questions. "On my head?" eyes shifting up, "They're goggles." He ended with a few nods. "And I'm Klei. So you two are Scarlet and Sweetpea." Ha ha both started with S. That amused him a bit as well. But they probably knew that so he didn't bring it up. "Did I hear you say that he was your son? So you're mother and son? ...but-" He stopped himself from saying anything further as he debated if he should bring up the entire foal thing but I guess if they were mother and son they were just something completely different. Since he doesn't remember foals being able to have their own kids.

Sweet bore his teeth and growled, "We're what?
"Now, my dear, please settle down," Scarlet tried to calm her son.
"Foals?!"
"Oh dear," Scarlet then fell behind her son to just watch things
unfold.
"Let me tall you something, sir. We're smaller. Alright, I'll give you that. But becasue of that we're juvenile?! Becasue of something we can't help we're constanly mistaken for something we're not? You think because you can touch the clouds you have the right to make untrue assumotions? Well, Klei, news flash. We're not foals, we're fully grown Usdias. And I think it's about time you got that straight-OW!"
"Sweetpea! I told you to be nice! Not many know of our breed and few still have met any. You must be tolerant!"

Even though he was being scolded by the little Usdia he found it quite amusing how bold he was to someone a lot larger then he was, though he didn't appreciate the accusing or the yelling in the end. How was he supposed to know what they were? He never met an Usdia before.
"Didn't you do the same thing? You assumed I knew what you were so when you heard different you got angry. I'd listen to you mother on this subject, Sweetpea." Klei responded back, glaring down at him, purposely standing taller then he was before. "You can't go around assuming everyone knows what you guys are. For one thing I never met an Usdia before. To someone who never met your kind they'd think you were foals." Klei snorted back as he turned away.
"I may not have known what you were but don't think I'm going to let you call me out on it for me not knowing!" He added with a stomp. He grew rather annoyed at Sweetpea. He didn't really mind him all that much before when he was just glaring but now that he spoke Klei wishes he just turned earlier.

Scarlet stomped at her son and scolded, "Now look what you've done! You've gone and made our new friend mad! Aplogize for being so rude! Honestly, I thought I rasied you better!"
"He's you friend Ma," Sweet said turned away from the stallion and to his mother. "At least everyone else I've met had the decency to ask what we were before calling us foals."
"He's our friend! My friends are yours and your friends are mine! We're all a family!"
"Well, maybe I don't want this part!" Sweet gimaced at his own words. His mother sat back and siffed, ears going back. He watched as her eyes welled and her mane fell into them. They widened slightly before closing tight. "M'sorry," he muttered to the stallion, if only to make his mother feel better.
"Yay!" Miraculously Scarlet was all better once her son did as she asked. "I knew you were a good boy! So, Klei, I can see you've not met many usdias but... have you ever seen an Angeni?" Scarlet's favorite Soquili were Angeni. She wanted to see one so bad.

"Don't you find it weird asking someone if they are a foal or not?" Klei asked Sweet with a dull tone. "That's a bit embarrassing if you ask me. The chances of it being a foal is a lot higher then being an Usdia."
Klei continued to watch the two quarrel, turning back and forth to whoever was talking at the time. Klei felt a bit bad when he saw Scarlet upset. She really was an adorable Usdia in every way possible. It pained him to see her sad.
As the attention was directed back at him again Klei's ears perked. "Hmm?" He lightly laughed on the inside at Sweets apology as he responded again. "Don't worry about it." His tone didn't really change much from what it was before so whether he actually accepted it or not he doesn't know yet but he'd rather not have Scarlet grow sad again.
He turned to Scarlet as she spoke, "I can't say that I have. I heard of them though. Have you ever seen one?" Klei wondered what it would be like to have those proud wings that the Angeni have. They must get heavy after a while... he thought to himself.

Don't get her started," he muttered, going back to nibble on some grasses.
"Oh, no I haven't! But I'd love to! They're so elegant and beautiful! And those wings! Could you imagine what it would be like to fly like that? Simply amazing! And I hear they are so kind. I'd love to see one for myself, instead of just paintings."

Klei followed Sweet's movements before turning back to Scarlet, who seemed to pretty excited or atleast happy.
"I'm sure you'll see one some day. And I'm sure most of the Angeni are kind. Though like any other kind you know there's bound to be some that are a bit mean. " Klei responded with a nod. He did imagine what it would be to fly like Angenis did. That brought him back to his thought about their wings. "I wonder if they're heavy. Their wings I mean."

Scarlet tilted her head a little. "I... why I've never thought of that! I suposse so. though maybe they have very strong back muscles." she thoguht a bit longer and said, "as soon as I meet one that is the first thing I shall ask. and then I shall find you and tell you what they have said. It's a promise! And Corgi's never break a promise!" She giggled and pranced in place. "Oh, do have a seat, it's so formal standing and chatting, let's make it a little more relaxed." She neslted down next to her son.

"I don't think the first thing you should ask someone is 'Are you wings heavy'. Better off talking normal and then sliding a question in." Klei responded with a chuckle. He did appreciate that she was actually thinking about his question but it really wasn't something she had to remember. Just a random thought Klei had always wondered. "But dont worry about it." he added shortly after.
"Huh?" Klei looked down at Scarlet as she nestled down. He didn't really feel like laying down but he felt way too tall if he was the only one standing. Even if he did lay down he'd most likely be taller. "Mmm." He looked around on the ground then plopped himself down, flicking his tail in the process so he wouldn't end up landing on it. His tailed pooled behind him.
Klei turned to Sweet before looking back to Scarlet. "What would you do if you ever meet an Angeni?" Klei finally questioned.

Sweet quirked an eyebrow and thought for a moment. He shurgged and turned back to his flower. "I don't dwell often on that. If I meet one, I meet one. But I won't go out of my way to make friendsw with it." He nibbled off a petal, never looking at the stallion. "Wings freak me out anyway, so I probably won't bother it," he finished.
"Oh, come on, dearest! You're so narrow minded. He'd rather be among Usdias. I prefer to be around all kinda of Soquili!" Scarlet giggled and watched a butterfly land on her son. "Quick! Sweetpea, make a wish!" She giggled as Sweet rolled his eyes but closed them, making his wish. "Oh, you're so lucky. Having a butterfly land on you is the best thing in the world!"
