If the Boss knew her mission, did she take it easy on Snake. I don't really think so because of just how difficult shewas to beat. Then again, maybe that just goes to show how strong she is.

I don't know... it's difficult to say, really. The thing is, if she was taking it easy on him, he'd probably be able to tell due to their studying together and things like that...

Whoa whoa whoa. I don't remember letting you guys join.
But whatever, that's cool.
Anyways, I don't believe the Boss weakened herself at the end. If she did, her personal mission, and a part of the mission given to her by the Patriots (Can't remember how to spell... Phi... Los...) would have been utterly failed.
Naked Snake, or John (I believe that is his really name.) was to become the next Boss in the chain, and therefore continue the legacy. If he was too weak to beat the Boss, then he would be to weak to become the Boss. Do you understand? It's all about succession to the throne. Just like the Boss and the Sorrow.
But here is the question that I really am debating on.
Did Big Boss betray the United States because that was his mission, or because of his personal feelings? You remember the Boss talking about that very same thing and that is the biggest question in my mind right now.
"Loyalty to the end."
"You were never so much as a soldier as you were a fighter."
Very strange, but all the more eludes us and opens up the story even more to a new step. If there is not another Metal Gear Solid there will almost definitely be a new Metal Gear (Besides MG: Acid)

Yeah I was wondering what would happen next, it didn't seem quite finished. I hope they do have a sequel and I hope that once again Kojima is the man behind this game, because I heard a rumor that Snake Eater was the last Metal Gear game he was going to be leading.

Incubus Sento If the Boss knew her mission, did she take it easy on Snake. I don't really think so because of just how difficult shewas to beat. Then again, maybe that just goes to show how strong she is. I do not know, I sorta doubt the boss weakened herself. She wanted Snake to "become" stronger than her. She even comments on how strong he was after beating her. Plus, it isnt in her personality to go weaker on any opponent.
