Characters

Chiyo Mihama- An 11-year-old child prodigy whose grades led her to high school. She's extremely polite, and is the smartest in her class. But she's also the shortest. Chiyo can't swim, but she's determined to learn, and she's determined to do everything else well too. She has a dog named Mr. Tabakichi.

Ayumu Kasuga- A rather slow girl that came from Osaka to this school. She was given the nickname 'Osaka.' She often fall asleep in class, which earns her a whack from Miss Yukari.

Tomo Takino- A girl full of energy, this hyper teen loves to have fun. But sometimes she's a little rude, and VERY annoying! She doesn't really care for school.

Koyomi Mizuhara- A exceptionally smart high school girl, she runs a bit behind Chiyo-Chan, which is still impressive, compared to Tomo. She and Tomo have been in the same class since grade school. She's extremely flexible, and is good at stretching. Her nickname's 'Yomi.'

Sakaki- A quiet girl, she's extemely popular, though she doesn't care she is. She's jealous of Chiyo a bit because she thinks Chiyo can get away with being cute. She has an obsession with cute animals, especially cats. She is great at sports, but doesn't care for them either.

Kagura- She's a lover of sports, this competitive student thinks of herself as Sakaki's rival. She always wants to have contests with her. Kagura isn't the smartest though, but she makes up for it in sports.

Kaorin- A shy girl who deeply 'admires' Miss Sakaki. She often blushes when talking to her. She's on an astrology club, so she often misses a lot of adventures.

Chihiro- A friend of Kaorin's, she doesn't often come into the story. She's friends with everyone else too, and will talk to the other characters.

Yukari Tanazaki- A lazy teacher who loves to have fun. She can resemble Tomo in that way, and she can also be hyper. She's usually late for class. She always wants to win the Sports-Fest. She's a crazy driver, and Chiyo-Chan never wants to go in the car with her on a trip. Because Chiyo has scary memories of what happened last time...

Minamo Kurosawa- She's the P.E teacher. She is challenged by Yukari about sports constantly, and it tires her. But she is a friend of Yukari's, and they often go out to have fun.

Mr. Kimura- A teacher who likes the high school girls. He often talks about that kind of stuff, even in class... He likes to watch the swim team, even though Kurasawa doesn't allow it, so he watches from the fence. He's married.
