I'm amazed that many Christians read these bits of the Bible and still pretend that their religion is one of pacifism. I'm also disturbed by the Christians who read these bits and take them to heart, like the Westboro Baptist Church assholes.
I'm really tempted to send this page to my mother, to see what she has to say for herself, but she would probably just get angry. She has admitted to hating the story of Abraham nearly sacrificing his son Isaac at the command of YHVH, and I wonder what she would think upon seeing all of these terrible verses in the same place.

I really wish someone would rewrite the Bible as a hardcore graphic novel. With all the sex, violence, and twisted acts, it would actually make a good series. They wouldn't even have to try to make it gritty. The bible is gritty, and at times, a little sick. It just needs to be better written. Maybe Chuck Palahniuk would do it. He'd make it REAL gritty. blaugh
