 Kaliska sighed with relief as she took off from the cavern she shared with her human Tygress and the other dragons that had befriended her. Ever since her older sister had arrived Kaliska's life had been a nightmare. Nida always sardonicly observant and quick with blunt observation was even worse and now spent more time with Una than with 'Liska. The two had been teasing her again about her trial and error with attempting to learn her chosen magic.
"Well you two enjoy your laugh, I'm going out for a while," she's said finally before storming out.
It was good to be out in the cooling air of early evening. She had no plan for her time other than to have a nice relaxing flight. Perhaps she'd spy another painter out and about or go down to the lake and visit with Ohanzee. Almost anyone would be better company than those she had just left. She also had a little hope that perhaps she'd see a certain familiar face especially without Nida around...

 Ren was calmly watching the fish in the pool below him it was his hope to have many for lunch but that was proving a bit much. He didn't do good with this fishing. He stretched out his talon foreleg over the water again ready to strike when yet again they seemed to almost see him and ran away. He snorted, "how am i expected to eat them if they always see me first." He grumbled his stomach being empty was starting to annoy him.
Opening his wings he jumped in the air at least that was a movement he was used to almost graceful if it hadn't been for the one rock that seemed to roll at the wrong time. He gave another snort as he righted him self and looked around. Finally seeing that dot growing closer.
His first thought was to yell out a challenge being highly annoyed till the dot got a bit closer and he realized infact who it was.

Almost as if her thoughts had summoned about another, 'Liska spotted another 'painter take to the air. She circled lazily observing the other as he neared. As his colors became clear she blinked in surprise. "Ren?" She ended her circling and focused her flight in his direction. It seemed it was him, the slightly clumsy but somehow endearing male she had met so long ago. She hoped Nida remained distracted with Una so she could perhaps enjoy some time with an old friend. "Oh Ren it is you!" she called out when she judge them close enough to hear one another. "Its good to see a friendly face."

Ren smiled as he dropped from his circle getting closer. "As with you." He glanced down a few moments his thoughts suddenly centered on the all to annoying Nida. He stopped far enough away he was sure that his wings wouldn't threw off Kaliska's flight any. Suddenly his anger wasn't around no more and he smiled again.
"what are the odds i find you of all people, a small part of me..." he looked down, "i was a bit grouchy i was hoping for a fight." He smiled at her again but he was unwilling to admit he was being outsmarted by fish. "course your funner then that but i may eat your friend." He was doing lazy circles now around her not even thinking of it.

"Well I'm glad I'm funner than a fight. I was kinda flying away from a possible fight with my sister," she replied. Kaliska noticed he kept looking down and looked at him curiously until he mentioned "her friend". "Oh Nida is back with my sister probably thinking of new ways to drive me completely crazy. So now you know what has me out here, now what has you grouchy?" She backwinged a bit in a semihover and tilted her head at him grinning.

he looked down at the pond, "i was trying to fish, but for some stupid reason they always see me...." He snorted something that was becoming rather familiar with him. It was safe to leave out the fact that he had even tried to dive in after them only reason he even got one was he made a huge tidal wave in the process.
His stomach growled and he cringed, "im sorry."

The female painter held back a giggle, something she had to do quite often when in Ren's company. She didn't want to embarass him. "Fishing is hard, you have to be really quick." She wasn't very good at fishing herself and the only time she really ate fish was when visiting Ohanzee. Being aquatic he and his familiar were able to herd the fish into one spot. "Maybe I can help you get some dinner? Did you still want fish or would you like to see if we can find some other game to hunt?"

He laughed, "no i think im well done with fish." He glared down at the small pond. "and besides now that your around flying sounds rather relaxing." He dived so that he went under her in a angle, "there's a field not far from here im not sure why i was fishing when hunting's so much easier...." His stomach growled again and he smiled.
"well off we go."

Now Kaliska laughed. "Perhaps you just had a craving for fish," she suggested as she followed his dive. "Lead the way..."
It was nice flying with someone again. The other's of the cavern, Miakoda and Raziel tended to keep to themselves, so Kaliska had followed suit except of course that she had Nida. She wondered for a moment if perhaps Una was jealous that she didn't have a familiar of her own like the rest of their flight, and that was why she was spending so much time with Nida. She'd probably never know... Besides she had other things to contemplate like having a good hunt and some fun with her friend.

He snickered as he heard her follow right after. "im better in the air anyway." Nothing for him to trip over it seemed. Smiling he did a small somersault around Kaliska and snickered. "so where have you been lately?" He couldnt think up a better question. But it was at least conversation. The air was nice and cool and suddenly he was in no hurry to fill his empty stomach.

Kaliska admired Ren in flight especially compared to how awkward he could sometimes be on the ground. She kept a steady flight though and let him show off his aerobatics. Someday perhaps a sky-dance would be in order... She was happy her coloration was red as it hid her blush at the thought.
"I've been spending time with my human and getting to know the other 'painters that have come to join us. They are quite a varied bunch and among them is my older sister Una. She gets along quite well with Nida, not so much with me. Though I'm the first at the cavern and Tygress has given me charge of things, Una has tried to take over everything since her arrival." Kaliska hissed her frustration. "Its good to be out and away from things for a little while anyway."

"ahh, the not so annoying pet you have." He circled again and he was tempted almost to grab her tail but decided he wouldn't push his luck and make a fool of him self even in the air.
"hmm my humans gathered more kazien who's ok i guess shes sorta grouchy all the time... and two baby's who im sorta sorry to say bug me just a bit. I like the freedom out here more." He streached his wings then looked down.
"yay food." suddenly he dived his wings tight with out even a word.

Kaliska blinked at the word babies. She was about to ask more when Ren suddenly shot down in a dive. He had apparently spotted something worth hunting... She watched waiting just in case he needed her assistance...

Ren looked over his shoulder for a second to see if Kaliska had followed he noted her waiting laughing he looked back and the fast approaching ground. The Bull elk looked up and seen him a moment before the two made a probably to hard contact and flipped around in the dust.
There was no doubt it was dead but Ren being in the mood still shook its head like a dog and looked up at Kaliska with a smile. Dropping it he sat down tail wagging back and forth. "well would you like some?" He yelled up not even sure if she was able to hear him anymore. He started scratching only to realize he was totally covered in dirt and looked browner then the elk did who in fact now looked red.

Kaliska laughed amused by Ren's looking back and his laughter. She dove down with some concern over the rather forceful strike. About to ask if he was alright but then he was grinning up at her. She landed beside before she answered. "We you were the one with the rumbling stomach but if you don't mind sharing a bit I'd be happy to have a bite with you."
