I think letters were what we tried to lower the price of. But Gaia ended up freezing all the stores selling them for low, removed them from the mp, and I think even banned a few people.
I remember being pissed off. Thinking back on that now, that's just... ********.
The whole "bringing in someone to study the economy to try to help eliminate ridiculous inflation" thing no longer makes sense, remembering this. There end up being a reason for that, or were the admins/mods just being gigantic ******** douches? :/

Their inflation-lowering economist was a bold faced lie.
If prices are inflated it creates more of "give cash to Gaia" demand for the items. People perceive it as less of a sacrifice to part with their dollars than to earn the gold or to part with the gold.
So yes, admins and CEO Craig ARE gigantic ******** douches.
