I have an idea for either a FanFic or a RP. But I'm not sure which way to do it. That's why I'll have a poll running to see which to do.
Basically it takes place inbetween the story lines of Yu-Gi-Oh GX and 5Ds (which is easy given the amout of time it looks like has gone by). Kaiba Corp. is currently under the management of the son of Mokuba Kaiba, Tetsu. Tetsu decides to hold a third Battle City tournament (since it seems a second was held between the original series and GX). For ths tounrament, he is releacing a new model of Duel Disks that have a wins counter. The first 8 people to reach the dueling field for the finals and have a victory count of at least 15 become the finalists.
Now, an up and coming duelist named Jono Honda (son of Hiroto and Shizuka Honda) plans are participating, wanting to bring some dueling pride to the family. As this is Yu-Gi-Oh, all sorts of events (both funny and serious) will happen. But I'll leave it up to the poll results to find out what exactly happens.

alright, the polls have spoken (took them a little while though) and I'll be making this into a Role Play! so here are the ground rules:
Follow Gaia ToS (and all extra rules concerning RPing and in this guild)
please use as correct grammar as possible. if you have trouble spelling a word, that's fine, but please no "can u h3lp mi plz? ty". at least not when in character.
coupling up is fine, but please be mindful that there may be young-ins watching (if it goes over PG-13, take it somewhere else)
Made up cards are allowed, but you must include their effects in your deck list when sending your profile to me.
as far as dueling goes, you can do it either in the RP topic or in the PMs, if you choose the latter, both duelists should send me a PM stating how the duel went (this does not have to be very detailed, just the highlights) and who won. you may also opt out to just decide who one without a duel, but both duelists must agree.
if you duel in this topic, please keep turns looking like so:

you can do these in character, but if you can also post what your side of the field looks like at the bottom, that makes things run smoothly.
now, this is important, so listen up. if you are using a made-up deck list, you cannot always get the cards you want/need given the situation. bad draws happen, live with it.
try to keep in mind how many cards you have left in your deck/hand (putting this with your field breakdown helps)
I can alter/add rules as needed
and THE more important rule you will ever see here. this rule will never be altered, edited or removed. if you cannot follow this rule, you must leave, so here it is: make sure to have fun and treat others with respect.

Appearance: Jono stands at just under 6'. He has messy, shoulder length brown hair and green eyes. he wears his father's old motorcycle jacket over his plain black t-shirt and blue jeans.
Country of Origin: Japan
Biography: Jono (named after his father's best friend and mother's brother) grew up listening to stories of when his parents and their friends were young and going on many adventures. After hearing so much about Duel Monsters (which he noticed all of their adventures seemed to revolve around), Jono began playing. By age 10 he was playing against his uncle and doing quite well. He is now participating in Kaiba's Battle City 3 to shine some light on the Honda family name in the dueling world.
