what is the definition of love? to you, to the world, or whatever. i'm just askin' cos i'm in a lovey mood.

i have had a few girl friends and the word had seems to pop up largely. love cannot be explained by one who has never had it and those who have it dont realize it until they are twenty years married and bitter with each other but still put up with it.
in my arbitrary stance viewing in, love is unconditional. that means no matter what they do you will always love them. love does not mean like! like is to enjoy them! love is to want to be with them even if they piss you off sooooooo much you need to leave for a bit so as not to kill one each other. you can hate and like each other many times a day but you will always love them. the youth seem to take great joy from destroying words such as "like" or "hate" or "love" or "friend" and others! apparently you cant love your friend because that makes you gay. hey another word! "gay" it once meant happy now means homosexual. that leads to the thought process of being homosexual means you are happy all the time. that then leads to they are happy because they have found a way around god's torture chamber that is women. you need em, you want em, but if they are around you you want to kill them! if you need examples then you truly dont understand as it needs no explaination. love holds you together while you push the other far away, but you are grateful when they come back after the fight. love makes you want to make a friend out of that person and that leads to complications from what i've seen. you tell your best friend secrets but those secrets can be used against you because there will be times you will hate that person and they take out that secret and bash your face in with it.
i'm slipping in my thought process so before i repeat myself and make this boring i'm going to stop. i hope this is what you were looking for. oh yea and welcome to my dominion!

they could, and realize they made a huge mistake and that the two persons in question were actually meant to be together forever but that ruined it because of their ignorance. sure they could get back together but it will never be the same.

Dart, I believe that is exactly what I'm going through. It seems we (me and her) were best friends at a point and she seemed to want to be more then that back when this started, and I was to immature to see that we are perfect for each other. Looking back, I have kicked myself numerous time about it. I don't even know if I could go back and say anything to her...

hmm that seems to happen frequently! i've seen this many a times and i have yet to see how this turns out. i'd love to help but my test subjects arent really doing anything yet and if would you kindly sign a test subject release form and DO SOMETHING ABOOT IT i could record it and help others. yesh my test subject, scurry around and press buttons until you get the right answer, but for every wrong one you get electricuted and it gets exponentially more painful and powerful! have fun smile

i think love... is a dream you have, and a person in it, that you only see for only a few hours of sleep. and if you fall in love with that person, its all you think about. thinking about that one person, until one day you meet someone in real life, and after that... the person in the dreams, you realize is that person, and they are all you dream about. i think love, is when you find someone(or thing) that replaces your most desired dreams... heart redface

The problem with dreaming about the one you want to love is that your mind will slowly start to create things that normal people would not have. Soon your expectations of your true love become so disproportionate that when you meet the one that would be your perfect match, you can't see it because you are disillusioned about your fantasy person. You can think about them but try to keep them realistic or you might ruin the best thing that happens for you in this life.
not trying to be mean, just trying to make sure people don't repeat things of the past, or a book i was forced to read....

i understand, but it really is just sometimes you love someone in real life, and slowy they start to resemble that person in the dream, when you love the person in the dream, you realize that its not a dream, its the person you really know. like that cheesy romance quote "i've been dreaming of you all my life" kinda like that.
hopefully that clears up what im trying to say ^_^

it does, just be warned... don't let fantasy suck you up. sooner or later you will be stuck in the fantasy and real life will slip away. you won't be able to come out again and you will seal off parts of your brain making normal life harder to sustain.
nicely done on clearing up what you meant, most of the time i still don't understand what people mean. damn different brain wave lengths making understanding of other humans almost impossible from time to time!

hmm, are you in love or are you using the word without understanding it completely? believe me i'm happy for you that you've reached something that could lead to a life long greatness and spring of happiness, i just need to make sure people don't screw up the language and their hopes and dreams. Now not everyone will be so lucky as to not have their dreams destroyed, but i'll try my damnedest to make sure others are't crushed like me. the dreams haven't been destroyed by love or someone declining me, there are other factors and they are mine to hold on to.
Chase your dreams and never give up on them, there are always people there to help you achieve them. even if it seems there isn't, there are people like me who don't want others to be decimated like us.

oh trust me i dont use that word loosely at all... theres only been two people i could truly say to myself and them that i loved them.
and i've also had my fare share of being hurt and rejected... i know its no fun but you have to let people learn from theyre own mistakes. people need to experience sorrow before they truely know happiness.
and be careful with asking if someone is so sure that they are in love, though you mean well, people can lose confidence in their emotions when theyre questioned too often.
