Ok, same rules. 15 post this time! Go at it. And please try to finish the whole match. And there is no time to be done. Take your time. Semifinals will begin as soon as the matches here are done.

Jan VS Bull, GO!

((I've been pretty busy with University lately, but I have today off! I'll get as much as I can done before I have to study, okay?))

Jan made his way into the next round's area, looking around to see who it was he was supposed o fight. According to this notice, I'm fighting... Squad 7's Captain? Damn, a hand-to-hand expert... Seeing him some distance away, Jan waved and called over to him. "Heeeeeeeeeeeey, anytime you want to start is fine with me!"

((Bah, short intro.))

Jan hopped back to dodge the initial assault and drew his own Zanpakuto to counter Bull's attack. Since he wore his katana with the blade up, the opposite motion would serve to cancel the raw physical force of Bull's partial draw. He used his energy to produce an electrical arc with his slash, so even though his blade would stop at Bullene's hilt, the energy would hopefully keep moving in for some damage. "Aiming to use the blunt force of the hilt rather than the blade... I guess you're Squad 7's Captain, alright."

"My, so energetic..." Jan said quietly as he waved his right hand outwards, sending an electromagnetic field outwards. "Protection Field!" Using his own concentrated energy, he sent the Thunder Roar Cannon around him. It wouldn't look like it from Bullene's point of view, so Jan was hoping to use a slight surprise attack to catch him off-guard.

Waving his left hand upwards, Jan formed a pillar of fire around Bullene and sent it upwards, hopefully engulfing him in the flames. "Hammer Hell!"

((Gah! I've been so busy with University!))

"Shikai already? Good for me, then..." Jan flipped through the air to avoid the shattering blade, blocking whatever shards came near him with his Zanpakuto. Making a few circles in the air with his katana while landing, he used some static in the air to move the oxygen away from him, causing the fire to die and dissipate before it could cause any damage. "I'm impressed... I can't heat fire to the point of it being white until I use my own Shikai. Let's see how you like my little power boost..."

He can get as far away as he wants... All the better for us! Let's pin him down, and then- Drawing his wakisashi, Jan quickly took aim and fired off a few light beams. Rather than aiming directly at Bullene, he aimed around him to keep him from moving to his sides or up. Swinging his katana down, Jan called out his next attack. "Hammer Heaven!"

A large bolt of lightning, not too much unlike the pillar of flame Jan had just used, came streaking out of the sky, heading right for Bullene's current position on the ground.

((10 days... gonk ...That was a really awesome pun catch, though. "Mad props!"[/silliness]
And being of Japanese origin, Jan would know the meanings of most Zanpakuto names and commands. Of course, to RP it properly, it requires a profile search or a visit to my translator... To tell you the truth, I've been waiting a while for this. The similarities in "elements" should make for a great fight!))

"Concentrate!" Focusing his energy around him, Jan let his usual Detection Field condense into his Protection Field, helping to redirect the primary wave of electricity. The electromagnetic field helped keep Bullene's electricity from getting to him in much the same was as the Earth's field shielded it from the constant solar flares from the sun. However, it was clear that Jan was straining against the other electricity user, primarily because he was much more used to deflecting elements less similar to his own. Electricity could counter electricity, but only if a very specific force was applied. "I can see you're excited... I didn't think I'd still be famous after being exiled. Ah, well..."

With Bullene quickly charging him and his Protection Field's energy negated by the last attack, Jan was forced to act quickly to try stopping the advance. Firing a few quick light beams from his wakisashi, Jan knew that electrical attacks would be near-useless after the absorption of his Hammer Heaven. "...Try this one! Flaming Refuse!" Stomping the ground with his left foot as Bullene got closer, Jan released a large explosion from his foot. However,m knowing that the explosion on its own was far to minor to do real damage, Jan used his Shunpo to move from his position in front of Bullene to his right side, firing multiple light beams as he did so.

((I would notice something like that anyway! It kind of reminds me of Sea Opening "Moses's Miracle" (2:53), although the walls are of the opposite element and the knives are coming horizontally...))

Jan smiled to himself when he saw the way Bullene defended himself. I can't control ashes or anything, so this is a welcome surprise- Jan's thoughts were cut short when he felt several metallic objects entering his electromagnetic Detection Field from above, preceded by what felt like rain. -Is he making a rain of steel? I can't stop to look up now... Jan was right; as he finished his though, Bullene sent two walls of white flame around him as a means to trap him.

Feeling around with his field, Jan began to figure out the way the blades were falling. "Time to start dodging then!" Speaking aloud to let Bullene know of his intentions, Jan let the flames go around him since he could always extinguish them later. Besides, they weren't too troublesome now... Jan simply rushed forward, charging some electricity into his swords before swinging both of his blades above his head to deflect the incoming blades without having to look. The electricity was meant to keep his swords from making physical contact, just in case they had some properties he didn't know about.

As he got closer to Bullene, Jan simply jumped at him with a flying kick from his right foot since both of his weapons were occupied. However, he jumped when he was quite far off, sending a large light beam out of his foot with the swing. "Here's a new one for ya! You should feel proud!"

((What better battlefield for that to happen than a post-Armageddon one? This place will probably look like that by the time this is over, anyway!))

"Tch... This is getting troublesome..." Using his own Hoho to get into the air, Jan avoided the flames using the simplest method. "Please, you're just wasting energy now... I guess I'll waste some of mine. To even things out, you know. What fun would tournaments be otherwise?"

As he gained altitude with short jumps, Jan wordlessly released his Shikai. With a flash of light, the katana in his right hand elongated into his naginata. Now, I can finally take care of these flames! Plus, my own ability to increase the heat should be on-par with his... "But I don't need that!" Yelling to nothing in particular, but to get the excitement out of his head, Jan spun his naginata around his body. Electricity began to spark upon his blade, crackling through the air. "I already know a direct electric attack is useless... But what about this? Hammer Heaven!"

As he spun his main weapon, Jan began calling down more pillars of lightning. Unlike before, these were white and fell around Jan, no Bullene. As the pillars fell, the electricity scattered around their respective blast craters and into the air. For a moment, nothing was visible around Jan but the random white sparks in the air... Until they began moving in little circles. As they gathered speed, Jan began using the electrons to pulling the air molecules around him. Ionizing the air to use it himself, Jan formed a series of small tornadoes around him. Waving his wakisashi at Bullene, the tornadoes moved to converge on his location.These were not necessarily fast, but they covered a lot of ground with their width and would also keep Jan protected from attacks. My little tribute to Feiy, both my student and teacher... "Try out the rage of the winds! Raging Storm!"
