As magnificent as your avi is, usually it's a popularity contest. Who ever has the most friends and conforms to pop culture more usually wins...there is no such thing as an original idea anymore.

I've entered some avis in the arena and never got close to placing. I never started any support threads or anything, because I know I wouldn't keep up with them. It's not really worth the 1k to me anymore because the same people always win.
