Okay, she was borednow. Much morebored than usual, as all her friends had gone off today in hopes of finding their own adventures. Well BAH.. Who needed em anyway.
Her Ocean teal eyes glimmered in teh darkness, though the forest as always dark, this one was exceptionally so,as the sun had gone down hours ago.
The forest was close to home, with its large trees that smelled of tropical winds. It was almost like a Rain forest, though she had no idea what a rainforest would be.
Her dark, yet colorful tipped tail flicked from side to side as she hummed softly. She never hummed too loud, she always hated it when others sang, but she did hum.
Her darkened hooves, were the end to dark legs that were so different from the bright middle of her body. She was indeed a mix of her parents, and incredibly cute to boot.
Being around hermother, who was a 'bird' and her father who was english, the little filly easily picked up the english accent, and spoke with a soft tilt to her voice.
Though, she wished she had someone, anyone, to talk to at this point..

Perhaps the little foal might have regretted that choice of wishes had she given it more considration. However, something, it seemed, had been listening and had an answer. That answer took the form of a larger stallion who had been picking through these deep woods himself, his deep amber eyes strafing the jungle for promise of treasures.
Since his encounter with his real mother, and recovery thereafter, Xibalba had been spending more time away from Psyche. With age had come a stronger sense of independence, and with the skull that gripped his face, a new twist to his eccentricism. Had the mask really been all that his mother had given to him? Xibalba now felt more strongly than ever that he had a destiny, a touch of the otherworld and something that separated him from most others. He did not mourn his detachment, however. He embraced it.
He had taken then, to frequent wanderings. Sometime with his longtime companion Psyche, but now just as frequently without. Today was one of the latter. He had let his feet pick a direction and carry him - deep, deep and deeper into the woods away from the mountain until the heat of the summer seemed trapped in the wet boughs and it truly did resemble more a rainforest than the temperate woodlands that he had grown in. Something about this place felt right in his blood. He had never had reason to question the logic that led him in a particular direction, but something today seemed so on to have brought him here. He hoped that he would be able to find his way back here again.
He had been investigating a rather colorful beetle - whose carapice shone with an iridescent green - especially when he let the miasmic energy about his feet play over it - when he heard a soft crunch in the underbrush and a lilting humming. The beetle was momentarily forgotton as he lifted his head and perked his ears.
He could see color passing between the trunks of the trees. Whoever it was was close. Something motivated him to lend words to the odd tune that wafted towards him.
"Sing a priase to the darkened sky, to the wind that blows quite cold. Draw forth the sight from the raven's eye And the dead you shall behold."
Xibalba's voice was eerie. Deep yet coarse and driven. It gave the simple tune that the filly sung a creepy intonation that bit the flesh with cold teeth.

The little filly hadnt even known someone was around her, until it started giving words to her little tune. That was odd, the song hadno words, only her own notes, and he was singing words in perfect harmony to the tune.. Except it was a bit darker than her own happy sound.
"Hey you!" She said, looking at him with ocean colored eyes annarrowing an eyebrow. She wasnt being rude, which she was so used to being. She was merely curious. He was an odd sort.. A dark color, with rainbow..faces along his sides. A helmet that looked like bone, and for all Bitty knew it was, covered his muzzle and skull. A rainbow haze errupted from his nostrils, though it only seemed to be there when he tried.. He also had a long..what kind of tail was that?
Bitty was sure she looked as if she was gawkiung, but even her father had an odd tail, and it was nothing like this creatures. He was almost.. Lizardy.
"Whats your name..?" She asked, coming closer as the filly seemed not to have a fear in the world. She knew of danger, her mind just never accepted it.
"You're awfully pretty, mate." She said, her little accent that had developed from her father, highlighting certain tones to her voice.
Her father and mother were both very protective, but Bitty had cleverly escaped Birdy, while her insane mother tried to shove her brother Finch into a nest, much against his will.

Xibalba slowly turned his head away from the shiny beetle and towards the source of the humming - which had now stopped and was replaced with rather directed words. It was a small thing - a foal he supposed. And while he had never seen it before, it strode up to him directly and began asking him questions.
That wasn't how things were supposed to be done. But... Xibalba shook his head briefly for a moment, as if clearing smoke from his ears. He wasn't exactly sure how they were. What was that about?
His eyes focused on the small-thing. It was a filly, and a rather brightly colored one. At least near the topside. And a horn grew from her head rather like the one on his skull-mask. He found himself wondering how it got to be there. Had it been driven in from the outside, or had it grown from the inside? Perhaps he could take it and add it to his necklace.
But once again, his thoughts were disrupted when it asked his name. He stood straighter. This was an important question. "Xibalba." The name seemed to bubble from him. "And what be it that you are called? And what have you come to ask me?"

She watched him draw his attention away from the beetle and giggled. She liked bugs..She wasnt sure why, but bugs seemed neat to her.
She had the slightest feeling she was bothering him, but in all honesty, curiousity made the filly completely hard headed, and she could not be drawn away. Her sapphire Ocean eyes sparkled as she continued observing him. It was what she did best, along with make people angry, observe.. She smiled, and flicked her tiny dark tail.
"My name is Bitty, its nice to meet you Xibalba." She said, having a hard time pronouncing the name the first time.
What had she come to ask? Well goodness, she didnt really come to ask anything. He'd been there, she was bored, so naturally she went to talk to him.
"Ask? I didnt come to ask anything..You just seemed interesting." She said, cocking her head, and watching his actions closely.

"Bitty?" The name sounded very different coming from the strange stallion. "Bitty bit. Bitty bitty bit. Bit of what?" He kind of swayed a little as he spoke, the colorful energy swirling as if aiding (or hampering?) his thought process.
He seemed confused by her response. "You have not come to ask me something?" His eyes narrowed as his brow furrowed under his helm. Why did that seem strange? This could not be a meeting of mere chance. Why? Xibalba felt as if the spirits were guiding him in his life, but that he could never quite understand completely or fully understand the puzzle. It distracted him quite frequently from 'normal' thoughts, but he felt it was his duty to listen, that he was tied to them in some fashion. Especially since he was granted his mask.
"Not come to ask anything?" He asked again. "Well." Well what? What was the purpose, then? He eyed the filly again. "Have you come to give an offering?" He looked at the horn in her head again. "Like that spire wedged in your skull. I could take that."

She narrowed her eyes, her eyebrows following close behind. She hated when others sang to her name..Which he wasnt really singing, but it could carry a tune if he was trying.
Ignoring that, she looked at his face, which honestly looked...like ocmplete confusion. "Why would I ask you anything, mate?" She asked, raising an eyebrow this time, and standing up straight, out of her crouched stance.
Bittys eyes widened, and she gave a glare to him, that told him to back off. "Dont even think about it. Im being nice 'ere.. No need to create a problem." She said, looking at him in disbelief and partial anger that he would ask such a thing.
"Besides its attached, and I wouldnt ever give it to you if it wasnt." She said wtith a matter of fact tone that only foals seemed to manage.

"Attached." There was almost a sad tone to that. "It must be driven in real deep, then. Or did it grow from out the inside?" He seemed to completely overlook her velied threat and standoffish posture when he had asked for her horn.
"And why else would you come? If it were not to ask or to give? What odder purpose would you serve?" His tail lashed a few times behind him. "Or perhaps your name be refering to your part in life. 'Bit' - bit part, eh?" There was a strange chortle behind his mask. "Everyone serve a part in the life - and in the death. Even if it is a bit." Xibalba wasn't even really letting his thoughts collect in his skull before letting them stream out of his mouth like the smoke from his nose. Sometimes, it wasn't his place to think of them - just to let hte spirits guide him.
((Adding a note here as of Jan 4, 2009: since it's been quite a while since this RP had any activity, I'm going to go ahead and consider it inactive. No hard feelings whatsoever, I'm just trimming down my rather intimidating list of active RPs I check routinely. If you would like to pick it up again and continue it, just drop me a PM smile )).
