I'm a poor college student with no money.
I'm getting a copy for myself for Christmas when my refund check comes in from school. My mom will be forced to wrap it and stick it under the tree for Christmas.
She somehow refuses to buy it for me. I want a copy for my enjoyment, and for my kids to play someday as I grow old.
And it's my favorite game on the face of the planet. =3

I already own it, and the highest my mom would get it for was $90. Luckily I found it on Amazon for $81... But the stores are selling it New for $200! That's... a lot...
Laili, you could look on there for a very good used copy... Possibly New, and at a low price. But I wouldn't count on it now being below $80...
That's the problem nowadays with the game... The price is pretty high...

Ugh, I really wish I could afford it. My cousin's actually owned a copy for awhile, but they GAVE IT AWAY, because they DIDN"T LIKE IT. Oh, the horror!

I just brought the non platinum version for $30 New Zealand dollars which is probably about $15 USD. I think if u are willing to wait a good deal will come along. But I have seen people buy the original for about $150USD

It's the sadest thing when...I might buy it, actually! I'll talk to my 'rents about it. biggrin

I'm rather lucky, because I got mine for free from one of my dad's coworkers a long time ago. It was in a different game case and the first disc was scratched up, but once we got it playing, we were addicted. I got the PC version later for about ten bucks, so if one gives out, I've always got the other.
The prices for these games are now ridiculous, so I'm not planning to buy another copy any time soon. I really wish Square-Enix would do something like what they've done with Star Ocean 2: Second Story, updating certain content in the game and then re-releasing it for the PSP. Not that it hasn't stopped anyone from actually emulating it on their PSP already, but that's besides the point.
Heck, they've even re-released Metal Gear Solid for the PSX in a trilogy pack with the two games that come next in the series, so I don't see why SE shouldn't do it. They'd be getting a lot more money if they did, especially since Crisis Core has renewed interest into the original game.

I got mine from a used CD and music store for 10 bucks.
Pretty sweet because it's the original version and not the greatest hits version.
You do know eventually they are going to resell us the game.
We will probably see it in what ever new form of FFVII there cooking up for the PlayStation 3. Likely it will be an extra that goes along with the game.

Um I think my mom payed $10-$15 dollars for our copy of the Final Fantasy VII game on discount and are you people trying to say it selling at a higher price than that? sweatdrop actually it is my mom's but I kinda claimed it after I discovered Sephiroth LOL. blaugh
