*The Great Hall*
Double doors in the Entrance Hall lead to the Great Hall, which is a vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Lightning and thunder flash across it during storms, on clear nights it appears deep black and full of stars, and it has been full of sunshine or covered with gray clouds.
There are windows in the Great Hall near the front door, and at night the room is lit with thousands of floating candles. There are four long tables for each of the four houses, and the teachers sit at a fifth table on a raised platform at the front of the room.
The kitchens lie directly beneath the Great Hall and are just the same size. Five preparation tables lie directly beneath the five tables in the Hall above, and at mealtimes the food is magically transported through the ceiling to the tables in the Great Hall.
There are usually four feasts each year; the start-of-term feast, Halloween feast, Christmas feast, and the end-of-year feast. The staff and students eat all their regular meals in the Great Hall, and the Owl Post arrives during breakfast. After dinner the students are expected to go to the library or their house common rooms for studying and socializing.

"It's a funny sort of batty tie, with leather wings, and a great big eye, but for the holidays I only wish for, a beautiful wand with a phoniex's core. Jade sang the silly jingle as she filled herself with potatoes, all the while reading an large book containing peculiar astronomy signs.

Kain smirked slightly. "I've got no idea what you're talking about Jade, but you're quite entertaining." He looked back down to his nails, inspecting them slightly, "And I've been here for quite some time. I was here when you came down, darling." He slightly shook his head, and rubbed his nails against his clothes.

"I hadn't noticed." She said casually, then looked back down at her book. "There is the most intresting signs in here that show proof of my prophecys." she chuckled joyfully to herself. "I'm surprised I hadn't seen it earlier. A brand new dawn soon to come." she attempted to braid a small bit of her hair, "Isn't that pleasant?" she asked happily.

"Dawn?" she scratched her head staring at a collection of oddly colored stars, "It's only around lunch kain. Perhaps you should get yourself to the nurse." she took out a piece of paper from her bag and began to rapidly write down runes.

He raised an eyebrow at her, but shook it off. "Perhaps you should go with me," he said under his breath. "So, sweetheart, any more prophecy's you want to tell me about?" He mumbled mockingly, but with a warm voice.

"Did I tell you about the prophecy? I seem to surprise myself." she closed the book and looked up at Kain. "Well you are very handsome aren't you." She looked at his closely, her face less then an inch from his face. "Clever breeding." She sat back and smiled happily at him.

Jade looked at him confused at the sudden heat in her cheeks. Pushing a strand of hair aside she picked up her plate. "Seems terribly stuffy in here. I better head off to class." she picked up her things and without even a second glance back she exited the great hall.
(Do you think we should allow our characters to be in more places then 1? It means more rping biggrin I just am concerned about the confusion of the time line.)

Kain smiled brightly and winked, "I'll see you back in the common room, Jade." He chuckled to himself and gathered his things together, heading back to his room.
