Things were quiet for now. Quiet for herself and her house. Vasryna looked a little angry about this as she traversed the streets of Guallidurth, her eyes flashing as if she were still searching for someone to kill. She tightened her hand around the dagger she was holding discreetly, letting out a small snarl of annoyance.

Life was pointless and worthless without anyone to kill to get further up in the world. For Vasryna, at least. The utter boredom and frustration she felt seemed tangible in the air and she had noted that some other Drow she'd come across had moved to get out of her way. Vasryna let a cold smirk find its way onto her face as she thought to this; good. At least they knew she was a force not to be reckoned with.

Tal maintained a precarious balance as he exited the store, one arm struggling to hold up a collection of books, journals and a number of boxes, while he held a note covered in a list of items in the other. In truth the only reason Tal was able to manage at all was because of the spells he was maintaining about himself. For all his intelligence and wisdom when it came to Spellcraft and the Arcane, Tal was at times surprisingly lacking in plain common sense.

He had picked up a new hobby in crafting magic rings, the theory he had studied for sometime now, but he needed a surprising variety of tools and materials for the practical side. Anyone else might have bought things as they needed them or acquired them in a series of trips, but Tal thought it would be 'easier' to get everything at once, not realising how hard it would be to get it all back to his lodgings.

And despite the fact he could concentrate his mind to exclusion of all else, or perhaps because of it; Tal was too distracted reading over his list and maintaining the spells around him, that he failed to see the rather angry looking woman walking up the street as he stepped out right in front of her.

Vasryna hadn't quite noticed that the mage was going to step right in front of her. Therefore, the assassin soon collided with him. She let a string of curses escape her vividly red lips as she jumped back to maintain her balance. "Fool!" She exclaimed, baring her teeth and no longer bothering to make the presence of the dagger in her hand indiscreet.

"Stepping right out in front of me was stupid!" Vasryna snarled, still bristling with anger. "How dare you?!" Still. What was she going to do now? Was she going to kill him? Get all bloodied up for something as simple as this? No. Though Vasryna was seeing things through a veil of anger today, she wasn't going to do something so petty. She was an assassin. Graceful and discreet.

The unexpected collision knocked everything eschew and as the tower of items toppled from his grasp, Tal started to flail his hands about wildly as he tried to redirect teh spells and stop everything falling to teh ground. For one brief moment he caught everything, the books, boxes and tools all suspended in mid air. Tal however looked every part teh fool, balanced on one leg, his arms spread wide, it was at that moment gravity caught on and Tal lost his center of balance and toppled sideways to teh street, promptly followed by his assorted goods. "Bother!"

Getting back to his feet, Tal dusted himself off as he looked over his days shopping, wondering if anything had been damaged in the fall. It was only now that he spared the time to glare at whoever it was that had bumped into him. "Don't you have the good sense to look where you're going?!"

Vasryna's glare intensified as the other Drow glared back and spoke; it was clear that he'd just gotten close to going too far. "Me? Me? What about you?!" She shot back, looking as if she were quite close to raising her dagger. "You stepped directly in front of me!"

She drew herself up to her full height, putting on her most formidable expression. This Drow might soon learn that he had stepped in front of the wrong assassin if he kept pushing it. Of course, she did prefer a more discreet version of violence to this, so perhaps he'd only find out after the fact...

Tal's eyes tightened for a moment and his face lost some of it's anger, before he stepped back a pace and bowed his head slightly. "You're right of course. Forgive this clumsy male for not being more diligent, I was merely preoccupied, though that is no excuse for impeding your way" It was a good thing that the female was taller, since with Tal's head bowed as it was she couldn't see him rolling his eyes at her.

Vasryna nodded, looking subtly pleased when Tal stepped back into his rightful place. She could sense that he wasn't very sincere, however. "I don't know if I can ever forgive you." She replied, holding her head high as her anger dissipated. Now she was just going to play a game or two.

"Fools like you are just so hard to tolerate." Vasryna added, flicking a few strands of her light hair away from her faces as she regarded Tal.

Tal continued to keep his head bowed, peering up at this woman from under his eyebrows, though at this angle he couldn't see anything of her face or expression. A small smile passed over his lips as he replied. "Yes, my lady. Foolishness is hard to forgive." Thankfully, Tal thought, fools like this rarely lasted long among the Drow. "I shall be sure to visit a temple as soon as I get the chance and throw myself before Lolth and beseech her to invoke me with a suitable punishment for my shameful transgression."

Vasryna herself had a smirk on her face as she regarded Tal. "As you should." She replied, quite aware of the exaggerations the mage was using. "But it's not as if you really will, as we both know. I'm not stupid and I'm sure you're not, though you are a fool." Vasryna awknowledged.

"So why don't you grovel to my face? I'd like to see your expressions." The assasin placed a hand on her hip, still golding her dagger loosely in the other.

Tal paused for a moment, then straightened with a sigh, his right hand idly scratching behind his ear as he took in Vasryna's expression. "Bother, what foul luck to wander into a perceptive female. You'd be surprised how often a vapid woman would just see a man groveling before her and be content to go about her business. But you have to go and make things complicated. What a nuisance..." Tal's expression was one of mild annoyance like being forced to do a chore you knew had to be done, yet would rather avoid.

Vasryna shrugged as Tal spoke, looking to him with a concentrated expression. "I have nothing to do but tell you how foul your acting, so I might as well." The assassin replied. "This is definitely better punishment in my esteemed opinion, anyway." She smirked coldly, studying her victim. This Drow somehow intrigued her; he seemed to be acting somewhat rebellious towards her, an angry assassin.

Tal merely snorted in response, another time and place he might have been more mindful of his manners, but this woman had caught him at a bad moment and while she might not have anything better to do , Tal had his own plans to attend to. "I pity you then my dear, if your time is so worthless you can afford to waste it so. After all, one would imagine a busy Drowess has better things to do with herself than giving a male acting critique?" As of yet it hadn't crossed Tal's mind, what this woman might do for a living, much less that he might be irritating a professional killer.

Vasryna's look of calm soon faded to be replaced by yet another heated glare to the mage. "Do you know when I work?" She hissed, her eyes narrowing. "I work when people are angry." Her hand tightened on the dagger yet again and she tensed, really quite close to attempting attack. "And I work when someone higher up feels that someone else doesn't deserve to breath any longer. When they feel that a person doesn't deserve to have a heartbeat." Oh, yes. She had to look QUITE formidable right now.

Tal shook his head slightly, his eyes going down in teh process Why does she have to be so Melodramatic... Tal's thoughts trailed off as he finally caught sight of the dagger How long has she been waving that about? Just then a bit of grit must have dislodged because the cogs in the back of his head started spinning as realisation dawned. Looking up again to meet the woman's eyes Tal spoke in a mere whisper "Assassin..."

A moment passed and Taliesin stood up a little straighter, his expression more intent as if he were only now paying any real attention to this woman. Despite realising who it was he was trading poorly veiled insults with, Taliesin showed no signs of fear or intimidation, in fact there was a slight twist to his lips that might have been a smile. "I don't suppose today might be your day off?"

Vasryna noted Tal taking note of the dagger, and her expression was smug as he finally looked up and spoke. "Why, you've hit the nail on the head. Congratulations." She replied, her voice heavy with sarcasm. This was the kind of respect Vasryna felt she deserved for her post. It was completely perfect to the Drowess.

She raised a brow as he straightened and actually seemed to notice her. What? Her expression felt at the lack of intimidation and she narrowed his eyes yet again. "Not for much longer if you take it upon yourself to keep acting like such a fool." The assassin grumbled darkly.
