I got a pm saying something like you have been selected to be an admin'
here is your code...
and it gave a link to "log in"

is this a scam?

i thought it might be

so i reported it and saved it
yet i went ot look at it again and half my saved pm's had vanished

I just want some input on this

Hmm... that's really odd...

But, yes -- I'd say it's a scam of some sort.

It doesn't sound like they planned on hacking accounts, though [or perhaps they did through technology they probably didn't understand?] ... maybe some drunk f!@#$er was just messing with random people...

Actually that redirection page is most certainly to get your password - you key in your information and it automatically sends it to the hacker. These are usually computer automated though - so they'll just spam your friends PMs with the same message and offensive posts etc. There have been quite a few on myspace and other network sites.
