Amatsila found herself in the middle of the field, doing nothing besides watching trees sway as if waving to her. She was too shy, even for trees, to smile back. No one really knows her in the soquili world, except for maybe some of her adopted family members. She had no real blood relation. The aqua mare sighed and stared up at the sky, it was sunset and the sun was almost setting. With the orange semi-circle making its way past their side of the world, she could come out and not have to fear seeing anyone. Amatsila closed her eyes and waited, waited and waited. After those lightly colored purple pupils appeared again, it was dark. No running was heard, or laughing of foals like it is during day time.
Lifting her self up and glancing left and right, also behind her, she made sure no one was around before walking out of the field and into the forest. It was beautiful in there. Tall trees that grew so tall, their branches spreaded out so far. Leaves covered those brances and flowers bloomed on some trees. Only bits and spots of the sky shown past those branches. You could barely see anything in the darkness of the forest. It was beauty nevertheless. Amatsila waited for her eyes to adjust before she continued walking. She felt like she could not be seen in the dark, and that comforted her. Thoughts of running into a crowd of soquilis taking a night walk would be horrible. Just two would about cause her to bolt. One soquili, could she handle just one?

It was very peaceful in the woods. That was until she had walked into a group of trees that were quite thick and indeed very bushy. Some had flowers on them, pink in fact. Very pretty. Then someone, or something said something. Amatsila's heart sank, damn she wasnt alone. She stared hard in front of her waiting for a soquili and perhaps a few others walk around the corner. She would quickly race off into some other place. Nothing came, the mare flicked her head behind her and saw nothing coming her way either. Was she just hearing things? The mare did not move a muscle and waited for something to eat her, which made her heart jump at that thought. She hasnt seen much of soquili land so what she has not see yet, is a mystery to her. Her nose caught a scent, a lively scent. It was not flowers or the smell of pine. It was....another soquili perhaps? Paranoia gotten the better side of her.
Amatsila decided she did not want to stay here. Her little heart pounded in her and she started to walk again, but very very slowly. Flicking her head back and forth to see if anyone or anything was coming to get her. "The gods will protect you, so dont be scared, monsters are not true, so do not fear." A little poem made her heart slow down its beat. She hummed a soft quiet toon to keep her company as she paranoidly walked slowly on the forest path not knowing or seeing what ever made that sound.

Awnaety looked towards where the voice had come from. It was a male, not as deep as normally guy voices were but she could still identify it. She took a few steps back in shock as she saw the smallest.....soquili in her life. A bit bigger than her hoof maybe? This made Awnaety's eyes widen. Was this....a fairy? Listening to his words, Awnaety just couldnt say anything because: One, she did not know and have never seen anything like him. Two, shyness. He looked as if she could blow him away if she simply opened her mouth to breathe. Nodding about the 'more dangerous ones' who lived in the deeper parts, that was all she could do. Awnaety could barely see him in the dark, because he was so dark. However she could make out the pebbles on his....wings? Those glowed and looked like fireflies were attached to his wings. Besides the pebbles, his eyes also glowed.
The mare opened her mouth to try and say something, but quickly snapped it back closed. Hoping he wouldnt see that. Too late to pretend she was mute since he probably already heard her. What could she say. Her eyes bolted from side to side just looking for something to hide behind. There was the obivious tree trunks, then there were some bushes too small for her. Does he own magic? Will he zap her into a...into a frog?! Another step was taken back. Maybe it was better to just slowly, very slowly get away?

She shook her head to his lost question. Awnaety has been on this path tons of times, she knew where she was going. Exactly. The sight of him was what caused the jaw-dropping gasping for air reaction. She shook her head this time to refresh her view. Was he real? Awnaety felt perhaps it was a bit she didnt answer, but could she? Could she really speak. Another attempt was made and she opened her mouth, but snapped closed once again. Snapping it open and closed made her look like a hungry crocodile. Taking deep breathes, she tried to calm herself. First the mare looked around them to see if maybe this was some two-legger trick that some sick two-legger made a puppet to scare those at night. The forest can be frightening, not only can you find a spot to hide in, but there were so many spots for other creatures to hide in. Her curiousity of if he is real, made her want to...check if he is. If this was some joke, she'd like it to end now. What if he was real? If she bit him, and he was....ouch. Perhaps it was best not to bite.
Leaning foward, stretching her neck furthest she can. The mare lightly nudged the flying soquili. She felt a bit of warmth come to her nose and his hooves kind of tickled her nostrils. Sneezing quite a few times, she looked up back at him and stared. It was rude to stare but...he was for real. No, no strings and no he was not made of wood or animal skin. So deep into thought about her new discovery, "What are you?" she finally spoke, raising one eybrow.

[[=rubs eyes to not repeat mistake=]] Amatsila finally saw what he really looked like. He had a rather fasinating pendant on his chest. Him floating closer almost made her jump back, but she dug her hooves into the dirt trying to not be frightened. "Your--your wings, I--I can barely see them..." His wings were fluttering so fast that she could not seem to catch them, or was this just her eyes. They were almost as fast as a humming birds, from what she sees. All she could make out were the glowing dots. Which really had her hypnotised. Feeling a bit dixxy, she broke her stare and looked at him, his tiny eyes staring into hers. They seem blank or rather scarey, once again Amatsila dug her hooves into the earthy soil. "I'm--I'm sorry....for--for being ru-rude." Stumbling in her words, sounding as if she had just stepped out of a cold icy pool. The mare looked closer and sniffed him, but brought her head back to breathe out knowing he was too tiny even for the slightest breeze. "Uh..uh....you smell ni-nice." Smiling friendly, trying to somehow make these silences go away. The silence with the wind howling against the trees, this did not make her comfortable. Creepy.
Glad that she was with another soquili, and one that wasnt so frightening on the outside. She kept her breathing limited, trying to face away from him to breathe, Amatsila would hate to have someone mad at her. The silence crepted in, she had nothing else to say, just watching him. This was something very new to her, soquilis so small, it must've been hard to spot them anytime of the day. If Amatsila was a flutter, she would be doomed in the big world.

The aqua mare, slightly glowing in the moonlight, pulled her head back as he appeared in her face. He warned her not to sniff him, but her curiosity got the better side of her. Amatsila fulped and her eyes bolted from side to side. Would it be rude to mention why she was turning away, about his size? The mare opened her mouth, but snapped it back closed as she had done before. More silence filled in the emptiness of their conversation. The truth was alwaysbetter than a lie. "I--I...dont me-mean to offend y-you but, y-you are rather sm--small and if I--I breathe to-too hard, it mi-might hurt y-you." Her sentences were a mess and stumbling a lot more she could control. At least she was speaking. The mare had already felt kind of proud. She smiled weakly at him, then turned away to breathe once more. It was awkward to see something shes never really seen. Makes her feel like a filly all over again. Discovering things all over the place. "Te-tell me m-more about fl-flutters." She did actually meant what she said, Amatsila did not like to lie. She couldn't lie even if she wanted to. The mare would simply sweat and stumble so much that it'd only make others more suspicious.
The moon passed by a few clouds and its beams reached them both inbetween all those leaves and branches. This slightly relieved Amatsila from the fear of darkness. She wanted to not be seen in daylight so she would have to come out at night, but then she'd be scared of the dark and monsters. What can she do? It was a tough life for such a sensitive shy mare. In the light, she could see him better, and he wasnt as small as she had imagined with his small dots and quick fluttering wings. Now, she could see how he had a dot on his forehead which was a bit too tiny to see it glowing in the dark. His tail, like he had mentioned before, Amatsila remembered very well, that he had a uni tail. She has never seen one but heard of them as well. Looked sort of like a big cat's tail, except the tip happen to be the same color as the rest of it. An upside down crown, or what it seemed to be, hung solidly around one of his front ankles. Then of course his butterfly pendant on the front and around his neck.
