Syrius
She lay in the shade of one of the great acacia trees, her blue eyes gaze closed to the world. She was waiting, she always waited here for him to come back to her. Today was no differnt, occassionally she would open one eye to peek out over the savannah, she could certainly be paitent, and her nose would tell him when he was nearing, but she liked to peep anyway.

The smile on her maw grew a little wider and she let a little giggle roll over her lips as she settled back down once again. She could wait, for as long as she had to.

Nova
The white king of the jungle padded slowly, sniffing the air for trouble as he made his way home.

Things with humans were tough, but he didn't give up. He never gave up.... Not for peace.

The white lion climbed down a ridge, padding into the jungle to their spot, smiling a bit. He always felt warmer knowing she was waiting for him... It felt right.

Syrius
The smile on her maw grew wider as she heard his gentle foot falls before she caught his heady scent. She always knew he was coming back for her, she was alays glad when he arrived. Getting to her paws, her blue gaze fixed happily upon the big white lord. her lord. stepping forwards she greeted him in a friendly manner rubbing her cheek against his and rolling her head under his chin before she looked him in the eyes and grinned.

"I thought maybe you wern't coming home today." she whispers, though she knew it was untrue, she said it any way, just to let him know she missed him.

Nova
The king of the jungle smiled, nuzzling back warmly as he rumbled in her ear.

"I'll always come back for you."

He licked her cheek softly, pawing her gently in greeting. She was one of the biggest reasons he had to return. Always.

The white cat then smiled, stretching.

"It looks like our land is still OK... The humans haven't advanced any further."

Syrius
Lyra nodded gently to her lord, moving to settle next to him ehr tail flickering happily. "That is good, perhaps they will come no further Kimba. Maybe it is time to stop worrying about them and, and get on with our own lives?"

She looked at him, almost pleadingly, love in ehr pale eyed gaze,s he always worried that he would not come back and it broke her heart to think that. What if the humans hurt hima nd he was never able to return to her? It was her worry, always her worry.

Nova
Kimba groomed her ear.

"It's alright. I'll always come back." Kimba said softly. He purred in his chest, rubbing against her reassuringly.

Syrius
She looks up at the pale male, her big blue eyes looking hopeful. "I still worry that you will be hurt by the humans kimba. Just for a while, leave them to their own doings. please?"She smiles weakly at him. "If they move return to be their watcher, but they do nothing at the moment and what if they hurt you? i couldn't live without you Kimba."

Nova
"I know, Lyra."

Kimba purred in her ear.

"But what about the animals? I can't abandon them."

Syrius
She sighed, and the lioness looked at the big white male, she gave a gentle nod. She knew he had responsabilities, but for once, she wanted his responsabilites just to be here, with her. She longed for him to just be by her side, she wanted to hold him close and never let him go,s he just wanted him to be at her side.

Nova
Kimba sighed happily, leaning on Lyra gently, eyes shutting with a happy smile. They'd go together, and have fun. It would be a lovely change.

Syrius
"I know, i just wish you would take some time for yourself for a change Kimba, the animals won't go any where for a day or two."

Nova
"I know..."

Kimba licked her ear, rumbling in her ear softly and rubbing against her gently again, smiling. The male smiled, and leaned a bit.

"Maybe one day."

Syrius
She shook her head, feeling slightly exasperated, he was so stubborn, it was one of the things she loved about him, but she so longed for that day to be today, for him not to vanish in to the undergrowth tomorrow with her heart following him as she stayed all day awaiting his return, never quite sure if he would come back from the brink.

Nova
Kimba watched, sighing before he licked her cheek once more.

"They count on me too." He breathed softly in her ear, and sighed. He WANTED to stay, but.... He had his duty, too....

Syrius
Lyra nodded burying her nose in to his thick mane, closing her eyes. "I know, you're an important lion, I just wish you could walk away, if only for a day and just rest. Even if only for a day. Surely you could do that? We could go on an adventure, like we used to." She smiles, her blue eyes peering up at the big male, she longed for those younger days sometimes.

Nova
Kimba's ears pricked a bit.

Adventure? Adventure was good.

"Did you have any ideas...?"

Syrius
She beamed and flickeed ehr tail. "I heard there is a huge waterfall some whereint he jungle that has magical powers, poers to bless those whom stand at it's base. We could search for it kimba, it would be a wonderful adventure, just you and I together."

Nova
"We could....."

Ideas were already forming, however, and the male was grinning, bouncing a bit like a cub.

Syrius
She beamed then, her soft blue eyed gaze dancing happily, she knew he would like the idea of an adventure. "just yu and I, for a whole day, together,a way fromt he worries we have, hmm?" She puurrs leaning over to groom his pale face.

Nova
Kimba grinned, nodding. He always liked adventures and this was no different.

Syrius
"Good," she whsipers grooming his ears. "It'll be a wonderful game Kimba, we'll travel together until we find the magica waterfall." She sighed happily then leaning against the big male and closeing her eyes, she was ready for a sleep now and int he morning they would leave for this most mystical of destinations.
