Vuai walked along quite pleased with himself. He had come up with the idea all on his own and invited his brother along for the ride. He was an adolecent now and his mane was growing in just eprfectly, he took after his parents, huge, stocky and forebodeing perhaps, but at the same time those golden eyes held a flicker of laughter and he always held a smile on his rough around the edges maw.

Turning he called to his brother "Comon isi, we're nearly thar na, pa says we should do this, we ent offically loud ta stay ere til we sees someone ta make sure we can. I wanna stay ere i do." He grinned and buffeted his brother with his muzzle.

Maybe his father had simply given him a tall tale, but for Vuai it didn't matter, it was an honour to seek out his membership, even if he knew no where else in the world. this was home and he wans't going any where.

Months had passed and the once small cub with a fiery coat and charcole colored eyes and hair was now a decent sized lion with dark colored eyes and a dark flaming color to his fur, darker than it had been when he was a cub.

Keeping up with Vuai, Isitini didn't bother commenting on his brother's plot, though he'd come along willingly enough to participate. It was mostly because he'd been flabberghasted by his fathers admission that neither of them were members because their mother wasn't a member. Or at least she hadn't been when she'd given birth to them.

He believed his father of course, but the more sedated of Kota and Khepri's two sons was always interested in learing the 'why's and 'how's behind a story. So he was out following his younger and much larger brother in their quest to find Tambuzi and speak with him about becoming true members so they would belong somewhere.

Though Isi didn't see any reason why they couldn't stay even if they weren't members, nothing had happened yet to them and they'd been living comfortably for a good few months. Still, he wasn't one to ask until he found the right person. It wasn't that Isi wasn't interested, it wasn't that he wasn't kind enough, it was that he'd inherited his mother's gruff attitude and the silence that exuded from her unless she had a reason to talk.

Isitini didn't find a reason to talk about things unless he could talk to the right person about them. Story telling was different, that was easy enough to do because he had all the facts, or at least all the fantasy, that he needed.

"Coming." Was his gruff reply to his brighter brother and he picked up the pace of his walking so he was side by side with his larger brother.

User ImageTamu lay comfortably atop one of the shallower rocks near the cliffs, cleaning her paws of the last remans of her kill. Her father wouldn't have been best pleased to learn she was out alone, but what her father didn't know couldn't hurt her. She had been going through bouts of rebelliousness, sprinkled with morbid depression and then manic hyperactivity and risk-taking.

She could no longer blame it on her hormones, as Tamu had blossomed into a very lithe and healthy adult, much the pride of Tambuzi's eye. He often commented how he wished his mother could have been there to see her. Her first and only grandchildren, all grown up and flourishing. Although curious of the rest of her family, thats where it ended. Her father didn't talk much, especially of his brother, their uncle.

And Tamu need only look at Siya to begin to worry whether her odd moods could also be an off-shoot of what plagued her uncle and her sister.

She could see it now - the next in line to guide the Bahari...a complete loon. She sighed heavily into her paws, almost angry at herself for what she was thinking. And for harsh she was being on her family, her siblings. They all had a dash of the eccentric, but she still loved them.

Eyes wandering now that she was clean, they fell to two blobs in the distance, moving up the beach at great speed. Red and black. She had always wondered why lions of such vibrance liked the sea pride, and had come to the conclusion that they had been burned by the sun and therefore needed to live by the water. Silly child.

The older and larger of the two young males spotted the deep blue and pale white of the older female first and without a moments hesitation he made a beeline towards her. He knew of Tambuzi and of his colour pattern and though this lion was a female perhaps she could point them in the correct direction.

"Afternoon to yer lass." He cleared his throat and bowed gently he knew a royal when he saw one, glancing at his brother he smiled lightly and flickered his long tail before he spoke again. "We're out seekin tha king ma'am, I'm Vuai and this is mah brother Isitini, we're the sons of Nahodha'kota and Khepri. Our pa said we need ta speak to tha king in regards to our becomin offical members of tha pri' now that we be old enough to take our places."

Vuai paused for a moment, and smiled to his deep red brother happily, he would have to fit int he fact that he was off on an adventure in to this conversation some where but he had to make sure that isitini was safe and secure in the pride first, then he would think of himself, after all his 'little' brother was his first concern.

Silence still came from the smaller of the two brothers as he looked at the female and picked up his pace so that it matched his brother's. Isitini was an uncomfortable lion to be around at times, when he was younger he'd spoken quite a bit, yet as the months had grown longer he'd become more silent than anyone had ever seen before.

Almost as if he were a wraith. Like, despite his bright colored fur, he was just standing in the shadows of others and watching.

Watching the world pass by so he could tell the stories later.

In the presence of the female Isitini bowed his head as soon as Vuai mentioned his name, keeping his gruff demeanor regardless of who it was that stood before him. He knew who she was, but he wasn't going to speak to her until she forced him to.

Because he'd grown up with a brother females had always been a weak spot for him. Not that he felt embarrassed around them, but he never felt like he needed to speak to them for all that they could have been very nice.

Her yellow eyes, inherited from the father they sought after, eyed them a while longer, no longer blobs. She had met Kota and Khepri, and she could certainly see them in these two youths.

"My father will be out wandering no doubt, he's pretty hard to keep still these days," she offered in a pleasant tone. "But can I help?"

She had had her fair share of lions approaching her seeking sanctuary here, most of which stayed forever as great new members of a revived pride.

Vuai smiled in an ever so cheery manner, he instantly liked the older female,s he spoke quietly as his mother did and she seemed helpful. "Aye lassy, mebe ye can, we be seekin ta stay in tha wonnerful lands fer the rest ov our puff do ye think ye could be a grantin' us than privlidge?"

he smiled roguishly, perhaps now was not the best time to let anyone know he was going wandering, another time perhaps once they were settled in to their positions. And who knew maybe if he went out in to the world he would return with a pretty filly on his arm.

That he decided would be fun but this would always be his home.
