[Log]
Ilori had slept in late again. He should really stop doing that... he was going to make Sepoko do everything himself, but really, recovering from his injuries -or rather, preventing strain on the now old ones from the war- did make him tired. More so than his usual laziness. He got up and yawned, stretching out and the yawning again. All in a day's work. He glanced around and grinned as he spotted the small spring he and his mate had decided to sleep near. He quickly trotted over and took a drink... before he promptly sat down, yawned, and lay down once again... this time closer so he wouldn't have to go far before he got thirsty again.
After all, he couldn't go far. Sepoko would come back sooner or later - perhaps with something to eat? He really should pick up the slack and help with the hunting... but Sepoko never woke him up, and he always slept in. Really, that was his ideal, but he did feel a bit bad for not pulling his weight. Well, except for being excellent moral support he supposed. Yes, yes... he always had been good with the moral support.
While he waited, he began to hum an old tune Sepoko had taught him, tapping his claws along to the beat pleasently. He was in a good mood. That seemed consistent about him, ever since he had been hurt during the war. Most lions had been traumatized by the events... oddly enough, the whole thing had left him with a greater sense of purpose.
Which was never to do anything remotely like that EVER again.

Ngala'leli certainly wasn't the lazy type. She couldn't be, not when she was out on her own like this. Being lazy when you weren't part of a pack meant death...by starvation or something worse. She certainly wasn't going to suffer that sort of personal neglect.
Directional neglect however, was a bit of a different matter. She wasn't exactly sure where she was. But, seeing as she had no real destination, she didn't much care. Why give herself a headache over something that was trivial? She was too practical to worry.
She loped along, following her nose absently as she went. When she smelled water she headed in that direction out of habit. It was always good to stay close to a water source if she could. When she came to a stream she began to trot along its banks, her large ears pulled forward with dull attentiveness. What an uneventfuld day.

Ilori was a little suprised when he saw another creature nearby. He hadn't really expected to run into anyone. It was a quiet area... "Hey there!" He called out with another yawn, before he curled up and remained where he was. Moving when he didn't have to had never really been his style... unless there was something fun going on. This could be fun, but he hadn't exactly gotten to the point of knowing that yet.
"What'cha doing out here?" He asked, tilting his head curiously, waving her over without a second thought. Even war hadn't changed him... he still wasn't very good at deciding if someone could be dangerous or not. Usually his first clue was if they attacked him. Besides that, he usually gave everyone the benifit of the doubt.

Leli stopped when she heard the call. She was still for a moment, her ears swivling slowly to catch exactly where the sound had come from. Finally her dark eyes settled upon his massive figure sprawled out on the ground. Another lion, she nearly snorted to herself. It seemed they were everywhere she went. And it seemed, no matter how far she got, they were always lazing about living the good life. Fate wasn't very good at hiding it's bias.
"More than you," she answered to his question, wrinkling her nose to match her sarcastic expression. It seemed she was always doing more. Hmph. Well, she supposed in the end she didn't mind too much. They could be as lazy as they wanted...as long as she was keeping herself relatively busy she was happy.

Ilori blinked, tilting his head to the side, though he did not rise to any bait, "It seems like too nice a day for an old cripple like me to be doing too much." He joked, refurring his his scars with an absent nod, though he didn't sound even remotely upset about it. It was something he had merely learned to get over. Very quickly... too many good things had come out of his getting hurt.
"Come sit in the shade for a while, working too hard never did anyone any good." He said, which was something he thoroughly believed. After all, nothing ever seemed to go the way he planned when he put effort into it, everything just worked out if you went with the flow. Ah, yes, going with the flow... Pretty much his motto.

"Considering how magnificent you lions are supposed to be you lot have an awful lot of cripples," Leli commented with dry humor. He wasn't the first crippled lion she had met. The other had had an even more "convincing" excuse of being blind. Some old battle scars and limps? That didn't seem like much of one to her. But she was starting to grow less and less surprised by lion behavior. They were simply odd.
She shook her head, declining his offer, "If walking is 'working too hard' then I'm done for as it is, thank you very much." She never really meant to be rude, but she certainly didn't hold things back or lie to people. It just wasn't practical most of the time. Besides, it was too much effort for so little reason. No one had to agree with her. She was logical enough to realize that opinions were subjective.

"Yeah... I guess we're not all shiney and pretty, are we?" Ilori laughed, thinking back on the lions he had met. Most had been friendly enough, but that wasn't to say he hadn't met his fair share of... unpleasent ones. Ones he had hated once, before he had allowed himself to move on. A childhood trauma that slipped through his paws, but one he wasn't sorry to forget, "And I... certainly wouldn't qualify myself as magnificent, I mean, take a look at me. I'm a lazy tub of lard." He chuckled again, knowing Sepoko would scold him for talking that way about himself... but he couldn't help it. His laziness was just something he had accepted and moved on with. Honestly, with all his family had teased him about it, he had to develope a thick skin. And quite a bit of indifference.
"Ah, yes, true. You and me both." Ilori agreed, "Though you seem much more willing to die for it than I do. I suppose we'll both suffer and die from walking around the world." He snorted, liking the sound of that, "I only hope I get where I'm going before then... Where are you headed, my strange friend?" He asked, flicking a fly off his paw absently.

"That you are," Leli agreed willingly. She wanted to roll her eyes a few of his comments, though. Hadn't he ever heard of sarcasm? But then, it seemed he might have missed a couple of things. Like worth ethic. At least he was proud of himself. Better than someone going around whining about their condition or something, she supposed. Not that she considered laziness a condition. No, that was a choice lifestyle.
She snorted as he compared to the two of them. She would hardly make that connection of them being on the same level, but she let it go. She wasn't so uppity that she'd bring it up, unless she was feeling really bitter that day. Aparently she was pretty even tempered right now, for the most part.
"I'm not really headed anywhere," she replied, choosing to ignore the friend bit. Lions liked to do that, didn't they? Call strangers friends. How odd.

Laziness was most certainly Ilori's lifestyle choice, and though he wasn't always proud of it, he was never one to deny it. That seemed very irrisponsible to him. He liked people to know what they were gettng into. "Good to know we agree on something." He said, pleasent as always. Irriversable optimism. It was a curse sometimes... but again, not something he had ever taken much issue with.
"Really? Then why are you in such a hurry?" He asked with a small grin, "You stop and smell the flowers, you get to see a whole lot more of the world." For him, the trick wasn't stopping... it was usually getting on the go again. Oh well, Sepoko usually kept him moving... well, sort of at least. Not exactly. More than he would have on his own, "Being productive all the time isn't good for your character." He said, the only sage advice he knew. Which was really neither sage, nor the best advice.
