....which is great since ive always wanted to learn. But you see my family has a money problem BUT ARENT WE ALL;; stupid inflation
i really dont want my parents to spend money on me by having a guitar teacher ;_;
im trying to learn it by myself and i kno most of the notes names already. i really dont know where to start or anything.....
any advice on where to start? websites or anything would help :
(ive had some music eperience with violin and chorus if it makes any difference)

A little note on Guitar World tabs: You have to pay for them!?!?!?! I thought at one point it was free. crying

From what you have said, you have not played guitar before, sooo: well I cannot read music, but what I did to teach myself was going up and down on a ladder on all the strings(not the whole string) with your four playing fingers, to get used to using them...so basically heres what I am saying... Start off on the first string(the thinnest), play the open string, then hit the 1st fret with your pointer, the second with your middle, the third with your ring finger, and fourth with your pinkey. This will get you used to using all of your fingers.
I am going to write a tab of a spanish song you can use to be your first song.
But yes, the first thing you want to do is the ladder, and over time, play it faster and faster.
