I have to say this, because I feel like the "elephant in the room" of this guild. Now I realize by saying this, I'm going to get flamed heavy, but I guess I'll have to deal with it.
I like Rock Band more than Guitar Hero.
I got it on June 29th, and I've been hooked ever since. I'm hooked even worse than I was on Guitar Hero 2. I guess it's because I'm a Harmonix fanboy (since FreQuency!), and under Neversoft, Guitar Hero 3 didn't feel right. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it just felt a little off to me.
It didn't necessarily help when I found out about Guitar Hero: World Tour. Hell, besides the music creator program (I will give cred to Activision for that one), it's a rip-off of Rock Band. A good rip-off, though.
So, yes, while all of you will be playing GH:WT, I'll be playing Rock Band 2.
Alright, I said it. Let the flame rain. Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if I was kicked out of the guild for this.

If I was GL I wouldn't kick you...
If you get the Rock band package, you can just get the GH disc and play, since the drums for rockband are compatible with guitar hero. -shrugs- We all have our preferences. I, myself am a fan of guiar hero, and I wouldn't exactly say they ripped it off, since harmonix pulls the guitar hero part out of guitar hero for rock band, I guess it's an almost-even trade. And world tour is stepping it up with extra features, like the tony hawk series' CAR (Create-A-Rocker) and CAG (Create-A-Guitar) add-ons. I must admit, rockband has more add-ons content wise, but I think it's too much. I'm a fan of getting EVERYTHING, but if I got everything I would've spent well over 200 bucks on just add-ons for the game, that's why I like Guitar Hero's more laid-back style of releasing add-ons. But still, it's just an opinion, we all have ours. I don't think the GL will ban you for your opinion, because it IS after all, just that, because every one of us is different. Even though this is a Guitar Hero Guild, I HOPE none of us are GH fanbois, who won't accept someone because they are getting accustomed to the other series of games So don't worry, I wouldn't.

I see your reasoning. Glad to see the first person that posted was cool. (rather than posting "STUPID NOOB!!1 rock band is teh suxX0rz!!1 GTFO!!!") I'm still a little hesitant about GH4, but I'll probably end up borrowing it from a friend, loving it, and buying a copy myself. (That's how I first got into Rock Band...)

I wouldn't be mad at you. I actually agree. (I'm probably gonna get kicked for that) I've only played Rock Band 5 times and I'm hooked on it.

yeah its okay dude i mean im not a real fan of rockband(its the guitar i just cant get used to the fact that the hammerons and pull-offs dont work very well and its more of a right on beat instead of a hit the note before your supposed to)but i like the game because of the drums since the guys at harmonix introduced drumming on a game like guitar hero its actually pretty fun so its fine if you get RB2 hell i might even get it as well and GHWT
