The white lioness limped on, wandering, blue eyes dull.
She hadn't tried hunting since she escaped, and she was hungry, tired, and sore. She'd kept wandering, although now a small leopardess cub seemed to bounce at her heels, keeping her moving.
The cub, of course, seemed surprisingly resourceful for wandering away from her family, which to a strong, healthy mind would implicate this was normal for the cub to be alone-- she seemed to survive on mice and small hares.
Kabichi, however, didn't eat much, simply bugs or other easily caught as she moved prey, making the lioness lean and weak.
But she dared to not stop. She was afraid. Deathly afraid.

Upenzi followed the lioness quietly, watching with attention as she moved. This wasn't really smart-- not hunting?
The leopardess cub peered over her shoulder, making an ugly face at anything possibly following. She knew she smelled someone, but had no idea whom. Whatever the lioness was running from, though, she was definaitely not up to fighting off.
Upenzi was positive they were doomed.

The lion god had been walking along the rim of the cliff, watching for prey. While most juveniles were only learning to hunt, as a wanderer, he was good at it. Bonus points were, he was a huge lion, well over the size of most.
He blinked, sighting a white, blue, and violet form followed by calico, then a shadow, and stiffened.
Kabichi?
Primitus dropped however, noticing the shadow was moving, almost stalking, and roared, leaping down upon it.
Fangs and claws tore into a squealing zebra-- why the hell was it stalking?--and the god slammed a paw on it's throat.

Kabichi spun at the squeal, growling when she saw a strange winged lion tearing into a Zebra.
The lioness jumped back, staying between Upenzi and the stranger, growling nastily. He wasn't hurting the cub with her, her own life aside. A deep breath, and the lioness gave a roar warningly.

Upenzi blinked at the sudden movement, but when the bizarro-lionness roared, she rolled her eyes.
The zebras were following them and she knew it. The cub sat, huffing slightly, and pinning the lioness' tail.
"Oi vey."

Primitus dug his claws into the Zebra, ignoring Kabichi's warning for now.
In one swift movement, he ceased the zebra's existance, and stretched, ignonoring his bloodied paws before looking at Kabichi, tail flicking in amazement.
"Kabichi?"
The male padded close, blinking, nose getting in her face with intrigue.
"What happened?"

Kabichi yelped, backing away slowly and tripping, whimpering.
Three good paws made running difficult, as did a tailing cub.
And this was a juvenile male. Males had power. She was weak.
That's what had been beaten in. The lioness dropped, submissively, and whined, waiting to be beaten. He was much larger than she was....

Upenzi sweatdropped by now, looking up.
"Hey! HEY! Big guy!"
The cub huffed.
"Do you know where we can crash tonight?"
She got a dirty look on her face.
Winged dude or not, he was helping or he's face her wrath.

Primitus blinked in surprise at the reactions. Didn't Kabichi recognize him? What had happened?
And who was the loudmouth?
He sat, grooming Kabichi's ear reassuringly, before answering.
"Well, I do..."
He said, tentatively.
Melhor'd be fairly pissed, but he knew the adolescent would focus on his mother first. That was his way.

Kabichi blinked at the grooming, before the smell of blood was allowed into her nostrils, and she peered at the zebra carcass. Ever so slowly, she rose, Primitus backing away to let her up.
The male seemed to have no interest, and she advanced slowly, bending and eating at it slowly, then with vigor.
Anything tasted good when you were hungry enough....

Upenzi watched, then looked up at the mega-lion.
"Excellent! Then you shall take us there!"
No room for yes or no, just the cub rising and joining the other in eating, tail switching against Primitus' maw amusedly.
Little snot.

Primitus blinked, watching the cub, then followed the two, joining in the meal slowly.
Kabichi kept eying him; as if she knew him, but didn't, and the godling sighed.
He'd kill to find a god of memory or something that could fix this, but since he didn't know one, he'd have to work on the old fashioned routes.
This was not going to be easy. The meal passed slowly, and the godling finally rose, gesturing. It was time to go...
"Follow me."

Kabichi blinked, getting up and following, carrying Upenzi.
This lion was odd, but friendly, and her guard was lowering as she padded after. She bounced slightly as she walked, snuffing in his direction before speaking.
"Who are you?"

Upenzi grunted, dropped when Kabichi spoke, but didn't cry out. This was important!
Instead, she climbed on Primitus' back and settled.
Hey, he was soft.
She decided idly that Primitus could be her minion, and lay down on the lion's back, grinning.
Primitus only flicked an ear at this.
Minion his a**. She was his minion, if he had say-- her demeanor gave her cockyness away, but, he'd deal with her later.

"I know who you are." Primitus said finally.
"Your name is Kabichi. You have two sons, Melhor Pax and Taichi. I will be taking you and--"
Upenzi tugged his ear, irritating the godling further--
"this miscreant to Melhor. You should be safe with him. I'll investigate what happened, though. and your mother will be nearby."
Upenzi by now was batting both ears, and the godling had enough.
"I am NOT your minion, I am the incarnation of leadership ITSELF, and if you desire to see ADULTHOOD, you will CEASE acting like I'm your MINION."
Primitus rarely lost his temper, but Upenzi was annoying him by now.
And he meant it, one more irritation, she was so toast.
