Okay, so you know all those traditional Disney fairytales? The ones that little girls all over the world love? Yeah, well, I'm one of those little girls all grown up with the love still intact. However, I'm not a traditionalist. That's where this roleplay comes in. A mixing of all the fairytales.. or maybe just most.
Cinderella
Beauty and the Beast
Sleeping Beauty
Snow White
Aladdin
The Little Mermaid
Mulan (if ya want)
Pocahontas (whatever floats your boat)
(Please feel free to name other fairytales not listed, I'll be glad to add them.)
Now that you've had the reasoning and the fairytales, how about the actual storyline?
Most of the princesses know each other or know someone who knows someone who knows one of the other princesses (that whole six degrees of seperation thing (if you haven't seen that movie, you need to!)). At least one of the traditional stereotypes must happen to at least one princess.
Example: Snow White bites into a poisonous apple given to her by her stepmother that puts her into a deep sleep.
However, anything before and after the traditional fairytale curse is up to the person roleplaying it.
Example: Snow White was living out in the woods with her two fairy godmothers and their three dwarvish servants.
Example Two: Snow White is awakened when the Prince puts the glass slipper on her foot.
Okay, so you get the general gist of it. Play it up well, don't just start in the middle. Give some background to it! And I don't mean in a profile. Why does that Prince want to save you? Why does your stepmother/evil enchanter/evil enchantress hate you enough to put a spell on you? Do you know your parents and do we get to meet them? Think about all these things!
We will need more than just princesses! Here's a list of characters that will be important to the storyline.

Animals (if ya want)
Family Members (hey, who am I to say no?)

I will NOT allow the "minor" characters to be trod upon! A dwarf must have a life too!
Example: Snow White's foe's minion falls in love with one of the dwarves and has to work around both Snow White and Snow White's foe to be with their love.
Example Two: A fairy is secretly a princess and doesn't know it until her prince kisses her.

Please do NOT post your profiles in the thread. It breaks the chain. PM them to me. Read back a page before jumping in and maybe message one of the other characters to help get to know each other in the story. Perhaps decide that your characters are friends.

Fairytale Name: Ark (aka Minion Number Three)
Fairytale Position: Evil Echanter's/Evil Enchantress' minion (aka Minion Number Three)
Bodily Description (pictures accepted): She looks exactly like a down-home southern girl. Her jeans are specially fitted just for her long legs. They're snug enough to show her curves, but loose enough she could jump on a horse. Her non-work shirts are button-down and well-made, able to endure sweat, hard work, and spills from six feet to the ground. And she never takes off her ten gallon hat unless she has to (showers, sleep, work, and those sorts of things).
She's tall and slightly lanky because her legs are an inch longer than any other girl she knows that is her height (about 5'8"). Her hair was recently cut, is slightly curly, and clings to her neck - especially when it's hot. Green eyes that are usually glazed over with a tiny thinking smile curving under them to give her an absent-minded professor look if you can ignore the clothes, which most people can't. She's well rounded, not skinny, not overweight, just there. However, her face is a little too plain, her hands and lips are usually cracked, and her chest isn't busty enough to make her the perfect girl.

Rules
1. Follow the rules of the guild and the ToS.
2. Keep it PG-13. That is Gaia's rating.
3. Cursing is allowed, just be careful with it. {If the guild owner or mods disagree with this rule, it will be deleted and all posts with cursing will be editted immediately.}
4. Don't be an attention whore. Everyone's got a story to be told. Not just you. And it's hard to roleplay with yourself.
5. Flirting only. Don't horndog!
6. A reminder of something all guild members should know: be literate.....-This includes god-modding. It is not allowed according to the rules of literacy.
7. Respect peoples' wishes. This doesn't mean that if they're playing hard to get you should stop talking to them, but if they really don't want you to sweep them off their feet then don't!

Ark walked down the halls with a broom in one hand and a dustpan in the other, muttering to herself the whole way, "Stupid degree in minioning. This isn't even my major! A creative writing major shouldn't have to stoop to sweeping the main hall! The only thing creative about this job is creatively arranging the spider webs so that they give the optimum creepy effect!" Her rant was pitched quietly. You never knew what the mistress was going to be listening to when she was bored. Oh, if she was watching the local princesses, you could rant as loudly as you wanted, but right now, the world was stagnant.
She had been dragging her broom across the floor, gathering dust to sweep into a corner so that the whole hallway looked dusty even though it was sparkling clean. She should know, she had scrubbed it on hands and knees that morning. The enchantress would be upset to know that this was her method of cleaning, but the enchantress couldn't see what was going on inside her castle because she had blocked all visual spells and that just happened to include her own. Ark shrugged and continued walking after depositing her load of dust artistically under a table. It was time for an afternoon off. She'd claim to have a killer headache and head home for the day to work on her novel.
Taking off the dark purple jacket with spider webs sewn on it, she reached for her own bright red coat to cover the black shirt that told anyone outside the castle that she was a common grunt. On her way out, she stopped at the door to the Enchantresses workshop and saw that it was closed. She slipped the note explaining her absence in a box on the door, then continued her way out of the castle.
As she slid out the door, a fresh breeze hit her full in the face along with sweet birdsong. She smiled to herself and lit out for her home a couple miles away. Tonight she had to go work at the cafe down the road from her house and she would be damned if she couldn't get a nap or some gardening in before she had to go in.
