Doro fluttered down towards the door at the house. It had begun to pour, and he was desperate to get inside. "He-llooooooooooooo?" He called. No one answered. Great. He thought to himself as the rain came down harder and harder by the minute. Stuck outside in the rain, far away from the academy, and my wings are too tired to fly anymore. How wonderful. "WHY do I always push myself so much?!" He muttered, frustrated with himself and soaked to the bone. This was not the first time he had flown until his wings gave out. But it WAS the first time he had done it in the pouring rain. His mother's words came back to him, and he grew more frustrated. "Remember," she had said, "Lady said you can only fly SHORT distances right now. Your wings aren't fully developed, so don't go too far!" He winced as a wind picked up and chilled him thoroughly. He called once more at the door of the house, and this time the door opened and a brown female bat stood in the doorway.

There was a knock at the door and then silence. The rain was coming down in sheets and had been for hours. The knock sounded again. Brandy slowly rose from her comfy seat and vanished into the shadow next to the door, and reappeared at the front door. It is so much easier travelling that way than having to walk all of the way here, she thought. She opened the door. "Yes, can I help you?" she asked the drenched stranger.

Keera heard the faint knock at the door and wondered who could be out in this kind of weather. She had been practicing her fire starting powers in her room when the knock sounded. Whoever was at the door would need a nice warm place to dry out, so she rushed down the stairs to the living room to start a nice hot fire for the stranger.

"I- I'm so sorry to disturb you." Doro apologized, teeth chattering. "I flew too far from my house, and it st-started r-raining." He stood shivering, knowing he must look pathetic. "My wings are too tired to fly anymore..."

Racing to the door, "Excuse me, I'm sorry but may I come in too? This is the first house I've seen in a very long time....." Silence was soaked to the bone just as the blue bat standing next to her was, she had traveled looking for some of her siblings but gotten lost along the way.

"Won't you come in out of the rain? Where did you come from in this weather?"She moved back so they could enter the foyer. "Please come into the living room where Keera I'm sure has a huge, hot fire going." She almost sank into the shadows, but remembered just in time that they could not follow her that way. Sure enough, Keera had a huge fire roaring in the fireplace. "She is such a showoff" she thought.

Doro ran his fingers through his wet, soppy hair. "I'm from Havaix," he told the other bat, stepping into the dry, warm house. The blue bat shivered slightly from the transition between warm and cold, but was very grateful for this stranger's kindness. "My name's Doro. Yours?" He sat down in one of the chairs and offered a wet hand out to shake.

Silence shivers, " I was looking for someone but he moves a bit faster than me....I was hoping finding another member of the family would help." She shivers some more but is very greatful that she was able to find a castle out here. Before moving inside she shakes out her large, feathery wings so as not to drip water all over the nice house.

The drenched individuals all crowded into the livingroom standing as close to the fire as possible to warm up. Keera thought they all looked pathetic, standing there like drenched rats. "I will dry them out quick enough," she thought. And with that, she used her fire power to instantly dry out their clothes for them, being very careful not to use too much fire so as not to scorch them. "Is that better everyone?"
