First of all, yes, it's green. Let the teasing commense! xd Second of all, it's a 2008 Ford Faux Pas Focus. Mike, my mom and I had been going to a number of dealerships over the weekends, trying out tons of different models. We test drove a Chevrolet Cobalt, a Chevrolet Aveo, a Pontiac Vibe, a Pontiac G5, a Saturn ASTRA, and the Ford Focus. But see, when we saw and drove the Focus, it was like "Oh yeah, this is the one." It had a number of convincing features too. 3nodding
So, more pictures!:

A 3/4 View. We went with the sportier two-door, rather than the four-door. Mostly this is because for at least the next four years, kids aren't going to be a consideration, and then, the kids will be limber and be able to squeeze into the back anyway. xd Unfortunately, extra chrome for the side-view mirrors and siding of the doors was only available on the SES model (we got the middle of the road SE model, as opposed to the S model, which they actually had none of on the lot).

From the front. You can see which dealership we got it at (right here in our hometown of Patterson xd ) because our plates haven't gotten here yet. I think the grill of it is really pretty, and the hood is neat too. Last weekend we found out that when you wash it, water pools all over the car. xd But we have this nifty squeegy, so that's no problem. No waterspots, heehee.

From the back. Though the back windshield looks small, the visibility out of all sides of the Focus are actually very very nice. I like being able to see traffic all around me, so this was definitely a plus.

Open up the back end and you see literally tons of space for stuff. Really impressive on a "small" size vehicle. I liked this because all my family has always gone on long car rides and needed space for our belongings, so I project this as being useful later in life when Mike and I have a bigger family. whee

Living proof that the trunk is big. The back seats are capable of being folded down, which allowed all three of us to crawl in and lie in the back. Who needs a hotel room??

Here's a picture of the driver's side interior. We kind of wanted the darker interior fabric for the seats, but ended up going for the lighter anyway. It maybe doesn't look as nice by our tastes/standards, but it also won't be as hot when the sun comes in on the seats. The seats are also quite adjustable, having a huge range of backward and forward. 3nodding It adjusts real easy, so Mike and I have no problems when we switch who's driving and how far their feet are from the pedals. xd

The center. Lots of fun buttons and knobs. You can see we chose the Automatic model (I'm afraid of stick shift... heh). There's the parking break on bottom, of course air conditioning and heat, the radio and such. We also got a neat "hands-free" iPod/Bluetooth/Phone jack, though we're still figuring out how to work it. Essentially, using only the buttons on the steering wheel, we can make calls, receive calls, play music and more, just by talking to the car. It even talks back. Cool! xd

Here's our leather-wrapped steering wheel. Leather-wrapped... ooooh. *touches* You can also see the gauges that tell us the boring stuff, like how fast we're going, how fast the engine is spinning, and how much fuel we have. There's also a little display that can be switched to show how many miles to empty, how good of mileage we're getting at any time during driving, and our average fuel economy, and it can keep track of trips. So far, we've been averaging 35 mpg, which is 2 mpg over the average quoted to us. Neato! biggrin

The backseats are really spacious, which wasn't necessarily true on some of the other cars we drove. Having been subjected to backseats a lot in my life, I wanted them to be nice, in consideration to anyone who might get thrown back there. xd The car actually seats five people (some only sat 4, again, important to me on the kid-thing level). The back has a cupholder too. blaugh

I took this pic because it looked neat.

This one too.

Here's the gas thinger. I don't want to look at that very often.

Here was another huge selling point on my list. The engine. I can see it. Yes, that's important to me. Every other car we drove had a huge plastic shield over almost all of the interior, save the oil check. rolleyes My dad has taught me a lot about cars over the years, so I know what stuff is. When the dude down at the dealership opened the front, I was like "OMG! There's the oil, and the battery, and the windshield fluid, and the fan belt, and...!" Needless to say, the guy selling us the car was a little confused why I was getting excited over it, instead of my hubbie, but that's okay. xd
So that's it! Our new car! whee
