It seemed that they had been travelling forever, or so it felt to gobo, perhaps time had slowed for their journey home, either way, their time alone had prooved very fruitful, They were learning each others faults and each others perks and they had grown closer.
They had run from a lion whom had wanted to eat them, and they had learned taht together they could master that sort of situation. He knew though that soon enough time must race once again and they must part ways.
for now though they could walk along peacefully, enjoying the day together.

Maybe to Gobo the world felt like it had slowed, but to her the world seemed to have sped up, she knew they were closeing in on their destination and she wished that time would stop, or even better that he would change his mind and they could both of them flee back to the saftey of Palahalas Valley.
Looking accross at the big male she smiled wistfully, her bright golden eyes gazing at him. She knew she was in love with him, but fear stopped her from telling him. Should she tell him before they parted for what might be forever?

The look she gave him made him turn and look her in the eyes, his deep chocolate brown eyes gazing sweetly lovingly at the black and white female. "Whats wrong?" he whispers, his voice rough and strong, he had never worn his emotions on his sleeve, yet here they were springing form his gaze.
Leaning forwards he nudged her cheek gently. "Please don't be sad, we still have time together."

"I am not sad!" she snapped without even thinking, she couldn't admit such a thing to gobo as being sad, as wanting him to stay for hersake not for anyone elses. She needed the big Klippy, whether she cared to admit it or not.
"I'm just..well I am not sad thats for certain!" She snorted and trotted off infront of him her tail flicked up high.

Gobo smiled, she was so stubborn. he chuckled and sped up to catch up to her, the smirk on his lips couldn't be helped, he loved it when she was being stubborn, being pig headed, it was one of the things he loved about her. Among many.
Racing out before her the big brown klippy stood and smiled at her, barring her path. "Eould it help if I told you I will return one day? I know I have said it before Zebadie but you must know I will come back to you."

"No it wouldn't bloody help!" She grunted, letting out a rush of air through her nostrils which caused a very unhappy sound. "Why don't you understand gobo? We shouldn't be here! We should be in the Valley enjoying life, not being hunted and afraid all the time. We should be there, you should be there with me!"
She turned ehr gaze away from him then, for the first time she felt ashamed, frightened almost. "Why don't you know that I want you to stay for me?"

Gobo sighed. "I want to stay for you as well zebadie." Lowering his head he nudged the little females chin. "You know I love you Zebadie, but my daughter must come first and foremost, you must know that, right?" he smiled carefully nuzzling her cheek.
"I promise I will come back to you, now chin up for me, it's not like you to look so down trodden. Wheres the cocky girl I met hmm?"

Hearing those three simple words from his lips made her heart skip a beat and for a moment she was his, for a moment there was noone in the world except the two of them "I love you too." She whispers moving close to him and tucking her small delecate head beneath his chin.
"I know you will return to me Gobo, and that cocky confident girl will be there waiting for you!" She laughs, raising her head once again and stareing him in the eyes before raceing off, her tail high in the air. Travelling was forgotten for the moment, there was something far more important to do.

Gobo laughed, yes he knew she would always be there for him, that beautiful, high strung, arrogant femme, he loved ehr for ll of those things.
As she raced away he leapt after her, keeping a short distance, occassionally catching up to her to nudge at her flanks, his deep brown eyes glistening. For a moment he forgot everything else, there was just him and her, out on the savannah playing a game, together, alone, just them.

She laughed jovily when he touched her flanks, her gaze turning backwards to look at him, her long femenine eye lashes flashing to him to keep coming. her golden eyes shimmeered like tiny stars, dancing in the pale and dark stripes. For now they were together and she knew that thsi was their moment, something very special was about to happen and it made her insides jump and dance.
It was time for them to be truely together.

He followed her every step of the way, never missing a beat, his hooves eating up the distance between them, a small grove loomed ahead and as she vanished in to the undergrowth he followed his ears held at a jaunty angle, his heart raceing as fast as a train.
They may not be together forever, he knew that, but for tonight they would be together far more than they had ever been before. Tonight they would be one.

They lay in the grove together until the night came in, her heat fluttered at every touch and her body lay close to his for the whole day. the distance they must travel was forgotten in each others eyes.
She only wished it could be like this forever, she preyed to the gods to stop time now nd let them lie like this until the end of time. Bu she knew it would never be and as the stars set up their display she let out a long, gentle sigh and slept, hopeing that perhaps this evening would last their life time.

Resting his neck over hers, the big male gazed up at the stars, he knew tomorrow they must continue their journey onwards and soon they would part ways, but perhaps, just perhaps Zebadie would be left with a peice of him. he was no fool, he knew what they had done this day could produce fawns. he was old, and wise enough to know that.
Maybe one day he would return to her and see his babes running around ehr hooves. It made him sad to think taht h would not see them born but he knew they would be safe wheer they were going. Back to the valley, back where they would never have to fear any predator. That, made him happy.
