Another bird which meant another test to see if the girl were able to fly yet or not. He had two different classes ready for her just in case she were able to fly alright. One was a normal flight class in which Ligeia would be accompanying them as he did in a lot of the recent flight classes. The other was based around nimbleness, testing it to see how well she could go through an obstacle course.
Orpheus read over his notes and looked up to where Ligeia and Vorel were sitting, the owl was leaning against his dragon reading another of his massive books. Vorel was laying on his side, seeming for the moment to be napping as his eyes were closed, tail twitching as he slept.
"We will be starting soon." He called over to Ligeia, "I will tell you if we need your help when she arrives."

It was a very goood day for miss Cleo. She had a brand new, fluffy skirt and a bright yellow t-shirt with a smiley face on it. Her boot were shiny and it was awesome. She loved it! And now, she had a CLASS!
Shilling, as well, was rather excited. His girl was in a happy mood and, thus, so was he. He pranced by her side and almost bunced when she opened the door. The girl peeked in and slipped inside, her dragon following quite happily.
"This is where I'm supposed to be, right? Cleo? Me?" She beamed, pointed to herself. "Skill class or - or something. Right?"

Orpheus nodded, looking over to the girl and her shiny partner. There were a whole range of interesting dragons weren't they? He gave Cleo a smile, "Yes, this is the place." He told her, "Skill class, there are two possible skills for you to work on today depending on what you know already."
He motioned over to where Ligeia was sitting, "My son will be assisting today if you need help learning to fly. If your already versed in that skill we will be doing some agility tests."

The goldcrest simply looked rather surprised at the insinuation. That was a novel idea, learning to fly, she thought.
"I can FLY?" She asked, a cute voice pitched to the curious. "I didn't know I could FLY. Dragons can fly but - really?" Cleo beamed. "I'd LOVE to fly."
She was all but bouncing. Dang straight she wanted to learn!

Orpheus couldn't help but give a little laugh at her reaction, "You never thought about flying before?" He asked of her, turning to look to where Ligeia sat and motioned for the owl to join them.
Ligeia got up to his feet, leaving his book with Vorel as he moved over to join his father and the goldcrest girl.
"Alright then, first thing's first. Ligeia this is Cleo, Cleo this is Ligeia. He helps out in the flight classes since he knows first hand more about flying then I do." Orpheus explained to his student.
"Nice to meet you." The owl boy said with a smile.

"I thought I was too big to fly. Or that my wings were too small or - or something." She shrugged carelessly, rocking back and forth on her toes and her heels. Excitement! Tons of excitement. She was all but glowing.
"Ligeia! Hi!" She hopped over towards Geia with the giddyness of any small girl and reached over to shake his hand quite firmly, unless the owl pulled back. "It's nice to meet you too! You're gonna show me to fly? That's so awesome! You can fly then? Can I see?"

Geia couldn't help but smile at the girl's excitement, "Yes, I can." He said before holding his other hand out for her to take. The first step in most classes was to take the student up into the air with him. He wondered if he would be able to do that with Cleo since she was bigger then most of the other students, "Here, we can see if I can bring us both up if you like."
He was a bit small and light weight himself so he wasn't sure if he could carry someone his size. If it didn't work maybe she could flap and help in the taking off.
Orpheus stepped back to give the pair room to try to take off.

Cleo paused in her bouncing to eye Geia's hand. Hrm. She didn't often touch people outside of hyper spaztastic-ness and he was a BOY. Granted, she figured as she looked him up and down, he was a very pretty boy but a boy none the less.
Ah well! She would learn to fly somehow. So she grabbed Geias hands and skirted closer, lips twisting into a grin.
"You know, boys aren't usually allowed to hold my hand." She giggled but, bounced just a bit. "Let's try! I can always try too, right?

Ligeia gave her a smile, "I will consider myself lucky then." He told her, taking her hands in his then opened up his wings, "Alright, do like I do. We will flap together, in unison first and when we have our rhythm we will push off with our feet."
Orpheus gave a smile then backed up to let them have their room, standing by in case he had to catch anyone again.

"You should." She nodded with a little fluff of curls and beamed. The wings made her lean back just a bit to watch them - so pretty! Black and white. Another smile and then she clutched at his hands even tighter. "Okay! Flap!"
Her own wings spread and started to flap, slowly at first to make sure Geia could keep in time with her and they could move together, and then a bit harder, a bit more assured. At the okay, she... pushed! Off, anyway. With her feet!

Ligeia moved his wings in time with hers, matching the pace and when he felt her pushing off with her feet he did the same taking to the air and helping her up as well. It was a little different then when he did it with the younger kids but she was still rather light... not that he would comment out loud. He didn't want to get a beating for mentioning a girls weight he thought idly.
"Good, keep flapping." He told her, giving as smile when together they were able to keep to the air. It wasn't very high up but they were in fact flying, though.
Orpheus gave a nod, "Doing well so far. Now this is just straight hover, I want you to keep in mind that outside there will be air currents that will help, make it so that you can glide to save energy." He told the birds.

They were flying! She. Was. Flying! In the air, wings flapping, supporting herself with her wings and and and - yes! She squealed again, fingers tightening as they continued to flap.
"How do we glide so close together?" Cleo squeaked, eyes wide as she peered down at the ground. "How do I -move-? We're flapping and - and! I wanna move! We should move. Can we glide?"

Ligeia gave a little pause in his flapping, holding his wings out to test for any air currents in the air and as such they started to head back toward the ground until he started to flap again, "The currents in here are pretty weak, maybe enough to suport us alone but when holding on to each other." He said, slowing his flapping so they could lower themselves down to the ground slowly.
When they landed he released her hands, giving her a smile, "The trick to gliding is to let the wind do most of the work, if you struggle against the currents it becomes a chore." He lifted his wings, opening them wide to check the currents again, "I think we can at least glide short distances on them. We would need to get a running start, take off with some flaps, and then try to catch air. Do you want me to show you first then you can try?"

Cleo went down with him very slowly. While she didn't mind being a little rough and tumble, she didn't feel like getting all bruised up and ugly. No, no, indeed! But when she hit the ground again, Cleo had to keep herself from stumbling as she was slightly dazed.
"I - Yes! Please show me first - I don't like to fall." She nodded, wise and mighty, and beamed at the rather pretty boy.

The owl boy nodded, moving away from Cleo a few steps before he took off at a quick pace and pushed off the ground with his legs, flapping a couple times to gain a bit of height before he opened his wings wide. He started to head for the ground before he was able to catch the slow moving current of air that ran through the room. It steadied him and he was able to glide for a short distance before he was once more on the ground.
He turned around to face Cleo, "Now you try! The air current is really soft so you don't have to worry about it pulling you along in any direction suddenly." He said in an assuring manner.
