What was the first song you ever learned fully? I'm not talking about the first riff you learned, or the first time you played Iron Man or Smoke on the water. I'm talking about the first time you dedicated yourself to learning a song you loved.
Me, this is a little embarassing. But, the first song I learned was Yule Shoot Your Eye Out by Fall Out Boy. It's a Christmas song, and it's become a tradition for me to play it around the holidays. It's pretty much the song that inspired me to play guitar as well, because I got out of a really bad relationship around the holidays when I first started playing. Anyhow, your turn!

The first full song I ever learned was Trogdor. I always liked it and when I realized how popular it had gotten I decided to give it a shot. I can't sing it worth crap though.

Old McDonald had a farm, when I was too little to physically hold the guitar up.

osgood_schloter_boi surfing with the alien from satch. Seriously? That was your first song? Because I still hear it and think "Man! I'll never learn that. Not in a million years!"

Still haven't. sweatdrop I probably should dedicate myself to a song (it's been over half a year) but I strive more for technique as I've always wanted to do more original work. Although I do a lot of cover, it tends to be fragments of the song, sometimes the whole song without (or just fragments) of the solo.

And the Kit says... Skip to my Lou?
My first REAL song was something classical that I don't remember... ...and don't you forget it!
