Katherine absolutely marveled at the gardens as she walked through them towards her dorm. They were lovely, bringing a sense of serenity to the seventeen year old. She paused as she dragged her luggage, taking in her surroundings before she decided to take a small break. Setting her luggage down on the ground, she sat down on the ground on the bank of the pond, taking off her shoes before she set her feet into the cool water.

Bear wasn't alone anymore.
He had gone out to this garden in the wee hours of the morning, and crouched under the footbridge to remind himself of what it had been like to sit with his girl under the stairs at his old school. He wrapped his arms around his folded knees and rested his chin on them, sighing quietly and smiling to himself. A water lily had floated over and got stuck to his shoe, but he let it stay there, thinking of how it was almost as spretty as his girl.
But then there was a sound of something heavy thumping on the ground, and a pair of bare feet slipping into the shallows of the pond. He blinked; was he seeing things? He leaned forward to try and get a look at his apparent vision, but leaned too far and toppled straight into the pond.
Totally manly, Bear.

Katherine blinked as she heard a splash. She saw ripples, and her eyes immediately followed the ripples to its source. "Oh my gosh!" She gasped as she got up and ran over, standing at the bank. He hadn't fallen out too far, so she didn't see the need to jump in just yet, but she waited to see. "Are you ok?" She asked.

In between both ends of the footbridge, Bear suddenly popped straight up out of the water, spewing pond water like a fountain and shaking his head like a dog. Having been underwater, he hadn't heard the girl shouting at him and didn't answer, though he did groan to himself grouchily. Instead, he tried to trudge out of the shallow water with as much dignity as possible, but that was hard when the water came above his waist and he kept slipping on mud and algae, nearly falling in again each time.

Katherine was still worried about the boy, despite the fact that she had never met him before. She held out her hand to him, giving him a hand. "Are you alright?" she asked as she looked at him worriedly.

Bear saw the hand offered to him and took it without hesitation; the water was cold and he really didn't want to fully submerge himself again. It was then that he realized it was a girl, and she was talking to him. Now on solid ground, he looked up at her and noticed that she was pretty, almost as pretty as his girl. "I'm okay," he said with a quiet voice that was hoarse with lack of use.

Katherine smiled a little. "I'm glad." She said, before she realized how cold the water is. "Oh my gosh, you must be freezing!" She gasped, before she ran to her suitcases. Unzipping one of them, she grabbed a long, fluffy towel before she ran back to him. Handing it to him, she smiled gently. "Here, use this." She offered.

"T'anks," he said as he took the towel in an uncertain hand and started to dry his longish sopping wet hair. His clothes wouldn't dry with the towel; he would have to go up to his dorm to change. "Um, well...I'm just gonna go, and...yeah." He held out the towel for her, smiling gratefully. "T'anks again for the towel, man. I'll see you 'round." He dug his damp hands into his soggy pockets, and trudged up to the school with his socks making unpleasant squish noises.

Katherine nodded, taking the towel back into her hands as she watched him leave. He was cute, but she should have known better then to think that he would have any interest in her. Sighing a little, she looked down to the towel that was in her hand. Slinging it over her shoulder, she walked back to her bags, picking them up again before she walked towards her own dorm, all thoughts about how much the beauty of the garden had captivated her.

Leilani walked into the garden, her hands linked behind her back. She took a seat on a stone bench and looked around. No one around, kinda how she wanted it.Slipping her earphone into her left ear only she laid down on the bench, her right leg hanging off while her left was arched up.As her ipod turned on she closed her eyes and relaxed her hand with the ipod in it on her stomach, her other hand behind her head.

Kathryn walked out of the school and into the gardens. She loved the open air, and there was no way she was staying inside that stupid school if she didn't have to. She knew she would be in it enough once classes started so finding a tree she sat under it and quietly watched people as she pulled out a piece of paper. Glancing at it she shook her head in disgust. It was a letter from her mother. It was the first time her mother had contacted her since she was sent to the institute, and Kathryn still wanted nothing to do with her.The letter read Quote: Dear Kathryn, I hope you don't hate me too much for what I have done. I just couldn't handle you anymore and I knew you needed help. After you beat me up I was really scared and that's why I wouldn't see you. It has been a couple years and I hear you are doing well in the institute. I've heard about the fights you get in and it pains me greatly, but I also hear about how well you are doing in school. I would like for you to come home and spend Christmas with me. Infact I have already contacted your school and told them you would be coming home. I know it's not what I wanted, but I thought we deserved another chance to patch things up between us. Love, Mom. After reading it again Kathryn tore it up. She couldn't believe her mother was going to send her home for Christmas vacation. She wanted nothing to do with that woman, and she really didn't want to be around her for 2 whole weeks. Thoughts filled her mind as she re-read the letter over and over again. "Maybe if I get in enough fights this semester, spend enough time in detention, and start to let my grades slip I won't have to go home with that woman." She sighed knowing it probably wouldn't work. In fact, it would make everything worse. If she acted out too much she would wind up on dorm arrest and then her mother would have her come home and she would be on home arrest not being able to leave the stupid house and having to be with her the entire time. She sighed as she shoved the paper in her back pocket. "If I kill her she won't have to try to contact me again." She muttered to herself laying against the tree just staring at the others in the gardens.

Leilani sat up.She had fallen asleep but because she's picky about where she sleeps, it didn't take much to wake her up again. She sat up on the bench, taking on of her earphones out and looking around. No one exciting.Standing she headed out to somewhere that wasn't there.

Kathryn sighed and looked above her. The tree was tall and inviting. Pulling herself to her feet she started to climb to the very top and found a steardy branch to sit on. Then she just sat looking over the grounds. She soon drifted off to sleep.

Ozzy blinked at the light of the sun. She shook her head, her hair covering her face almost completely. Ozzy looked around, mostly looking for a guy or two. She couldn't remember the last time she flirty. She couldn't remember the last time she even let someone touch her. She looked around, seeing one or two, but ignoring them. She sat down on the ground next to some nice flowers.
