ok before I start please disregard the username, it was a practical joke and I didn't realize I had to pay 10k after to change it
I plan on joining the marines after highschool. I can do about 80 sit-ups in the 2 minutes, 14 pull-ups, and my fastest for the 5k run was 23 minutes. I just wanted to know if their is anyone in this guild that can give me some good advice to help me ace the pft (I'm most concerned about the run) I have about two years until I graduate/enlist and I want to be able to score the 300 coming in

hey even though ever since i've gotten into the fleet and I'm a lazy ******** i still know a thing or two about back when I cared about my pft wink for running do sprints this will help with your run time opposed to just long distance running for crunches just do them regularly you'll get to 100 easy enough and for pull ups do them over hand first of all and do 100 a day for a week not at one time just all together through the day then 200 the next week then 300 ect they can be assisted pull ups it does'nt matter I went from 9 to 20 this way in about a month pull ups are the money maker since 100 crunches is easy to achieve and if you can do 20 pull ups which is the hardest for most you should be well over a first class

you are but when you do them underhand your only using your biceps, when you do them over hand your utilizing your whole back and your arms, so you you may be able to do more underhand but you'll make out lets say at nine if you work on your overhand you'll easily exceed it, if you can do 20 underhand right now then more power to you ignore me

Well Im a female so I do flexed hang, so I cant help you on the pullups. So I would suggest doing as the guy above stated, that and once you punch out as many as you can try switiching your hand directions and attempt some more. As for crunches, remember they are CRUNCHES. So many people forget that and do full-blown situps, this takes away from you energy and you do less than you would otherwise be able to do. You ace 20 pull ups and 100 crunches all you got to do is pass the run and you're good. But anyways, Im not that good of a runner, but what I do is I save alot of my energy for on the way back. Once you hit that turn around point, start sprinting. What I would do is I would pic someone in front of me and I would sprint past them, slow down and take a breather, than do it again and again.
